If you are finally ready to start a YouTube channel for your business, P.S. what have you been waiting for? Today, I'm going to walk you through exactly how to start a YouTube channel in 2018. Hi, my name is Trina, and on this channel I help creative entrepreneurs like you get on YouTube to grow your business. YouTube has been my secret strategy to grow my business as quickly as it has in two years. And I'm ready to show you the way. So let's cut to the chase and walk you through how you can start a YouTube channel for your business. The first thing you need to do is have your defined niche. The thing is, you can't be everything for everyone or you'll end up being no. 1 for everyone. Okay? You really want to have a clear niche and a reason why people are going to subscribe to your channel. So you probably subscribe to my channel for YouTube tips and tricks and strategies on how to grow your channel for your business. When I was posting some videos on motivation and health, I didn't see as much traction because you guys are subscribing to my channel for YouTube tips. That's my niche. When I started to try to reach more people, I ended up alienating people. So I got back to the heart of my content strategy and I'm back to sharing YouTube tips. This is a great story for you to think about. When you're creating your YouTube channel and you're just getting started, what's your niche? Are you an email marketing specialist? Are you an Instagram specialist? Are you a beginner's business starting specialist? So you just focus on these people just getting started on business. What is your clearly defined niche? And that's how you want to get started on YouTube. Is creating content around that defined niche. The next thing is to stop the comparison game before it even starts. Start. Don't look at how many subscribers people have or how many views they have. You don't know what's going on behind the scenes. They may already have a huge email list or a huge social following, or maybe they're using Facebook ads. So stop the comparison game before it even gets started. Focus on creating quality content for your audience. The next thing to start a YouTube channel is to stop planning and start creating. I cannot tell you how how many times I hear people tell me, oh, that's in my quarter three plan, or oh, that's in my quarter four plan. That's fantastic. It's in your plan. But why not start creating videos now? Think about the people who are starting YouTube channels right now. That are learning how to create better videos, building a following, creating quality content, creating this 247 sales team for them. While you say, oh, that's in quarter four or that that's the beginning of next year, just start creating content. The next thing that you'll want to do when you're just Getting started on YouTube is connect with other channels, whether they are similar niches as yours or whether they're a different niche, but they talk to the same people. So I speak to creative entrepreneurs wanting to get on YouTube. So I've reached out to a creative entrepreneur who talks about styling because I know a lot of you struggle with what to wear on camera. I've also reached out to Instagram experts like Tyler McCall because even though you are creating YouTube, you need help promoting that YouTube on Instagram. So what are some channels that you could collaborate with and engage with on their videos? So maybe they post a video and you start commenting in their comment section and you find people and they find you. That will really help you grow your channel a lot faster. When you're getting started, the next thing that you've got to do is find your support system, find your people. It is a tricky game here on YouTube, I won't deny it. It can be constant ups and downs and what am I doing wrong? What can I do better? So find your people, find your tribe. That's going to help you do better on YouTube.
