If you've been wondering how you can make a cute little animated subscribe button for your videos, kind of like this one, stick around because I'm going to walk you through exactly how you can create this on your own. Welcome back. My name is Trina. If you are new here, don't forget to subscribe for new videos every Monday and Wednesday on how to help creative entrepreneurs. Just like you figure out how to start using YouTube to grow your business. Now, one of the ways that we are growing our business here on YouTube is getting people to subscribe and keep coming back to watch your new videos. But what's an additional way you can get people to subscribe other than telling them, well, you could have a cute little animated subscribe button just like this. And I'm going to show you today how you can make this in a program called Keynote. Now, if you are on Mac and you're a Mac user, Keynote is free. And that's the program that I'm actually going to be using today. And I'm going to show you how to put it in imovie. So let's flip this on over to my computer and walk you through exactly how to do this. So you'll want to open Keynote and you'll want to grab this white presentation. That's a great place to start. This works and you're going to go to choose. Then once it comes up, go ahead and delete these text boxes because you won't need that. The next thing you need to do is change the color fill and you want to change it to like this lime green because you want this green screen effect. The next thing you can go to Google and search subscribe button PNG and get a graphic and save it to your computer. Then you can insert it choose I have mine saved to the desktop right here and I'm going to insert it. Now. If you're using imovie, you want to think of this as your video. So think where do you want your subscribe button to be? Because this is really going to help you in the long run. So I definitely need to make this a little bit smaller because I don't need my subscribe button to be massive. My subscribe button is probably going to show up in the middle of my video. I'm going to prefer it to be in the middle of my video. For right now, making your button smaller than larger is better. So just start with a smaller button. If you need to come back in and re edit, you can do that too. So the next thing you want to have a little mouse like this. Click on your button. So luckily Keynote has a lot of arrows that you can choose from. You can go ahead and search arrow and I think I'm just going to click this plain old arrow. You can also change the sizing of it a little bit. You can make it smaller, shorter, you can change this guy. So I'm going to make this just a bit smaller because we are working with a little subscribe button. Let's get this guy. Alright, you can play with this. This isn't necessarily the arrow I would go with, but this is what's going to work for me right now. The next thing you can do is pick the color that you want the arrow to be. So go up here to fill and change it to white and you'll need to obviously change the rotation. So you'll go to arrange and you can either use this rotate or you can just click this angle right here and say 90 degrees. Alright, this is going to bother me. So let's make this arrow just a little bit smaller still. So now what you can do to make this arrow look like it's clicked, clicking the subscribe button and make it super easy for you to do is just make sure that arrow is clicked and you want to go up here, make sure animate is clicked right here and you want to click on Action and you want to add an effect. You can see all the different types of effects that you can have. But for me I'm going to add a move and I actually want my arrow to go diagonally up here so it looks like a click. So I'm going to click the shadowed arrow because this is where it's going to start and this is where it's going to end. So I want it to add in a diagonal motion. Clicking subscribe. Now you can click Preview and it looks like it's clicking the subscribe button super easy right now what you can do is you'll go to File Export and you want to export it as a movie or QuickTime, whatever you have. You also want to make sure the format is at 1080p and you'll want to save it as subscribe button animation. And I have it saving to my desktop now I have imovie pulled up. I don't have a specific YouTube video right here, but it's the same thing. So I'm going to go ahead and click Import and I want that subscribe button animation. I'm going to import selected and you'll see here it sits right here. Go ahead and select it, drag it to the part of the video that you want it and you'll see right now what it looks like. Alright, so what you'll do to speed it up is go ahead and click on that, go up to this little speed button and let's do fast that way. Now this is what it looks like. Now it's time to get rid of this green screen. Click on the image again and go up to this little box and you'll want to click green blue screen. Now your subscribe button is transparent. The next thing that you can do to move this slightly around is again make sure this is clicked on and go up to this box and and you can make sure it's clicked crop to fill. So as you crop this, you're going to be zooming in a bit and getting to select where your button is. So I want it to be in the middle still, but I'm going to zoom in on it just a little bit. And again you can change this once you do it. So let's do that. I'm going to hit return and now you can see the difference. Click. The next thing that you can do is go here to audio and find a click sound effect. So what you want to do is maybe just scan through here, see if there is a click. You can also search click. Here's what this click sounds like. So let's use that click. You'll go ahead and grab this, pull it down here. Let's zoom in a bit here so we can see a better look. You want to make sure that the click is happening when the arrow clicks. So let's just scan here to see. So right about there I'm going to click on my screen so this little line holds my spot and move the click right there. I'm going to turn that down a bit because it's a little loud and here's what it will look like. Ta da. And you can jazz it up as much as you want, add more animation, add a different sound effect. But for now you have an arrow and a button that looks like somebody's clicking it. I hope that gives your video a little more pizazz and especially more subscribers. If you want to learn how to get even more subscribers and views, make sure you watch that video that's on your screen right now.
