Monthly Goal Report | Setting May Goals in my Powersheets

Trina Little reviews her April progress and sets May goals using Powersheets, covering content creation, health, and work-life balance. She shares lessons learned and strategies for online entrepreneurs building YouTube channels.
April goals have not gone as expected and what I'm mapping out for May is something that I didn't think I would do. Stick around because I'm going to be sharing with you my April goals progress and what kind of goals I'm setting for May. Hi, I'm Trina and I'm a YouTube strategist. And on this channel I help online and creative entrepreneurs get on YouTube to grow their business. And every single month I get on here and I share with you my goals progress along with my dear friend Allie Dene of the Social Walker Agency and Ashlynn Carter of Ashlyn Wright. So be sure you go over and check out their goal progress as well. We all three like to use our Laura Casey powersheets and that's really how we track our goals and how I've been keeping track of them through the year. So if you want to check out all the other videos that I did, make sure you check out the playlist that I have on your screen. So the first thing with Power Sheets is to kind of review the month you had prior to. So I'm going to grab my tending sheet that I had taped on the wall right here and I can tell you right now some of the things I crushed and some of the things I didn't even start. So here's my powersheet, my pending list for this month and you can see we got a few things done on the goals for the month. So what I did get accomplished is I planned out my next launch strategy. So so that will be coming in quarter three. I also completed a new opt in. So if you haven't seen yet, I have a brand new opt in. It's called the YouTube Launch Roadmap and it walks you through how to launch a YouTube channel like mine and 10 easy to follow Roadmap steps. If you want to grab that, I'll link it right up above. As far as my weekly goals, I did pretty well with them. I had planned to upload five videos a week here on YouTube and I've stuck with it. I'm gonna try to stick with it again in May as well. I also set a goal of doing a weekly Facebook show. So if you haven't noticed, over on my Facebook page, I do a Trena weekly show just giving you tips and strategies on YouTube. So I did pretty well. My daily goals are always all over the place. I did well with getting ready for work, so I've been trying to make it a habit of mine to get dressed for work. Now today is a Little bit different. I actually did hair and makeup because I had a master class recording. Typically we don't do this for a day, but I have been actually getting out of my pajamas, brushing my teeth, washing my face, which is a huge feat when you have two children under the age of three. Another thing that PowerSheets has is this month in review, so you can just kind of reflect on the month you had. One of the things that I do want to point out is one of the people that I'm most grateful for in the month of April, even though she had a crazy month, is Ashlyn. I had so many questions for Ashlyn as I was mapping out my next launch strategy, and she did so well with her strategy. So I'm really grateful that I have her to talk to and her to help me through launching, because even though I've done it a few times, let me tell you, it never gets any easier. I just want to share with you guys a lesson that I learned in April, and it ties into why my goals are going to be a little different in May. One of the biggest lessons that I learned in April is that I don't have to make hundreds of thousands of dollars. We constantly are barraged with this messaging that hit six figures. If you're not six figures, you're not successful. And you know what? I decided what's more important to me is actually enjoying my life. So I want to be able to take off my Fridays that I wanted to do for the past six months. So in May, that's what I'm going to be doing. I also want to be able to actually shut down and quit working at 4:00 every day. And in May, that's what I'm planning to do. So I really reflected in April and realized, what do I need to do? I, for one, want to make myself happy and healthy again. When I first started working on my health, I meal prepped and had all my meals planned in advance and worked out every day. And now with running a business with this constant idea to make it big, I've decided that I'm going to go back to that. And I'm making enough money that I can support my family. I can take little pieces of money to save for the kids college fund and my retirement fund, and also maybe save a little bit to go back to Paris one day. So I'm happy with that. And I don't need to have this constant voice in my head saying that I need to make $100,000. I need to make the amount of Money that's going to make me happy, pay my bills, and be able to help amazing people like you grow your business on YouTube. And that's one of the biggest lessons that I learned in the month of April. As far as my goals for May, we got a lot going on in May, so Mother's Day happens, which I am a mother and my birthday happens as well. So I really love May because I get some gifts and it just starts to get nicer out. It's finally starting to get warm. Plus, we're going on vacation in June and I'm really trying to get ahead of content so that I can enjoy the time on vacation with my kids and our friends. So I tried to stick with just around four monthly goals because I do work on my business just on Tuesdays. So these are the things that I can probably get done on Tuesday. So one of those is to film 20 videos for here on YouTube and that will get me through vacation. So if I can get them all uploaded, get the B roll filmed, send them off to my editor, I'm really hoping to get a head start on that. So I'm planning content this week and hopefully filming the 20 videos next week. So I can check that right off the list. One other thing that I'm doing is updating some coffee for my launch and fixing up a challenge that I've hosted that I really want to make a lot better this time around. Those are some of the things that I have in my monthly goals for May. You'll notice it doesn't really revolve around getting new clients or growing my business because I've decided I'm not going for one on one clients anymore. Yes, if a dream client comes to me and wants to work with me, I might consider it. But right now the clients that I do have are clients I'm going to stick with and I don't really want to take on anymore. I want to focus with my group program and with YouTube Bootcamp and really make that a powerhouse of women business owners growing their business and men too. I just usually connect more with women, but men are always welcome in YouTube Bootcamp as well. I'm done with one on one clients for now and I'm focusing more on YouTube Bootcamp. So you'll see that that's not really any of my goals anymore. Another goal that I have is to really meal prep every single week and also share progress in my bikini series journey. So, you know, if you watch me, I talk a lot about tone it up and they kick off their Bikini series next week. And I will be joining along with it over on my other Instagram account, which is Trina Little. It's actually my Tone it up account that I started. The first foray into social media was that account when I started tracking my bikini series. So I'm gonna be doing that more, sharing what I eat, my exercises, my journey, the weight loss, how I'm feeling. So I really wanna get back to that. Cause I started that really as a hobby and I wanna get back to more hobbies and passion projects. And I feel like that's gonna get my toe wet with some of those passion projects. And then some weekly goals end up being the same weekly goals every single month. And I really wanna focus on getting 10,000 steps. So I don't have it on now, it's charging, but I really wanna focus on this 10,000 steps, whether it's a couple extra time up and down the stairs, taking the kids out on a walk. We just bought a double stroller. I can't believe I went this long without having a double stroller. So I'm hoping when we get up in the morning we can go out for a quick walk to get in those steps just to get healthier. And along that lines, I wanna work out three times a week. So the walks are the ways to get in the 10,000 steps. Then I want an additional workout where I tone my muscles like exercise my arms or my. Those kinds of things I want to do three times a week. I also really want to focus on getting up early. I've had a hard time doing this. I used to could do this all the time, but recently I just felt always so tired with that darn little kid of mine that's seizing. But I really want to try hard at getting up early and getting my exercise in or just getting a time to journal. I haven't journaled before, but maybe starting that. So those are some of the goals that I have set for May. I would love to hear one of your major goals you want to accomplish in May and if I can help you accomplish it, let me know down in the comments below. Don't forget to subscribe to this channel and check out the rest of my goal progress. I have a playlist linked for you right now on the screen. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the next video. Bye.
