Trust me, I've heard it all. When it comes to reasons why you're not creating video content, in fact, I have people tell me they don't want to get out of their PJs and they don't want to have to shower to create video content. Well, today I'm going to debunk five excuses that you probably have for creating video content so that you no longer have any excuses to avoid creating video content. Hey guys. Welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I help online entrepreneurs Facebook figure out a video content strategy that works for their business and helps their business grow. If you aren't subscribed to this channel, make sure you go ahead and hit this red subscribe button right here. That way you'll be notified every single time I upload new content to really help you and your video content creation journey. Like I said today, I'm going to make all of your excuses disappear so that you no longer have a reason to avoid video content anymore. So let's first start with I don't know how to edit. So what if you prepare for your video ahead of time? All you have to do is turn the camera on and talk like this. You don't need to add any fancy transitions or music or titles. You don't need that. All that matters in your video to your viewers and potential clients is the content you're sharing. You don't need anything fancy. You just cut out the beginning where you turn the camera on and turn the camera off at the end. Video done. Leave in those little imperfections because it really makes you more humanized. It connects better with the audience. And you don't seem like a perfect robot because let's face it, none of us are perfect. The next one that I get is I don't have the time. Guess What? I am six months pregnant. I have an 18 month old. I'm in the process of launching a course. I have a husband, I'm running a business. I have a house. And. And in one day I film 12 videos. 12 videos. Now I upload two videos a week to two different channels. So that's four videos a week. I'm only asking you to upload one video a week. That's four videos a month. I'm sure you could carve out four hours in one day, in one month to get yourself in that shower, brush your hair, maybe put on a little chapstick and put. Put on a decent shirt. I'm not even asking you to put pants on, because guess what? You don't know if I have pants on or not. So now you know. You have time to create video. That's no longer an excuse. The other excuse I hear is I don't have the equipment. Well, if you watch this video right here, I'm talking about the basic equipment you need to get started. And guess what? You probably already have it because it's a phone. You can record video with a phone. I again, you don't need fancy equipment to get your content out there. And your content is all that matters. Content is king. It's the main point of video content. You don't need to worry about having a professional light kit, a professional camera, a dslr, a lens, all this crap that costs so much money. Turn your phone on record, start recording content with your camera. Get started there. Focus on the content you're sharing, not on the equipment that you need. The fourth excuse that I get is I don't have anything to talk about. You have a business, right? You're trying to sell something, right? Maybe you even have a blog. Start there. Turn a blog post into a video. Or what are questions that you get asked a lot about your business. Answer those questions on video. Talk about your product, talk about your service, talk about the benefits, why people need, what it is that you're selling. There are plenty of ideas out there. If you still aren't coming up with any, go see what other people in your industry are doing. You can recreate a video that they've done. Don't reinvent the wheel. Use what's working. Now, I'm not telling you to copy them word for word. I'm telling you to take a topic that they talk about and put your own spin on it, put your own tips on it and give your opinion on that topic. And the final excuse I get all the time is I'm not comfortable on camera. I'm not pretty enough to be on camera. I don't like the way I look on camera. Guess what? Nobody cares. I hate to break it to you, but nobody cares. But you people are coming to videos to get their question answered. So really focus on the content you're providing, not the outside appearance of what's going on with you. Because people aren't there for that. And if they are, they aren't your audience. They aren't the people that you're selling to. If you're worried about Internet trolls writing mean things on you, I promise you, you're going to be pleasantly surprised on the amount of positive feedback and positive support that you actually get. That's because people applaud others that go out on a limb, step out of their comfort zone and do something they don't normally do. Those trolls that are behind their computer screen typing mean things, they're probably in their parents basement with no life and they're just out there to make people feel bad because they feel bad about themselves. So don't let the fear of what people are going to say hold you back. Don't let the fear of what you look like hold you back. Content is king. People want what you're sharing and people will honestly support you more than you've ever imagined.
