Did you know you could schedule your YouTube videos to go live for free? That's right. No social media ScheDuling app needed. YouTube lets you schedule your videos to go live within their platform. And in today's video, I'm going to show you how you can do this. Hey guys, my name is Trena and welcome to another episode of Just the Tips. So, quick question. Do you struggle with trying to manage all your social media accounts and trying to get things posted on time every day? Let's talk about our social media frustrations down in the comments section below because I've got a laundry list. Now let me take one thing off your busy scheduling YouTube videos. Let's jump on over to my computer and I'm going to walk you through this process.
To schedule your YouTube videos when you go to upload them, you need to make sure your video is set on private. So go up here to this arrow to upload a video and then this little drop down button, you want to make sure it's set on private. If it's set on unlisted or public, it's not going to allow you the opportunity to schedule your videos. So make sure you click on private and then upload your video. You can ensure that your default is set to private if you go to creator studio. So go up here and click creator Studio and then go over to channel and then you want to select upload defaults. From here you can select the default of your privacy and you want to make sure you have it clicked on private and click save. That way every time you upload a video it will be uploaded as private and you will have the opportunity to schedule it. So now let me show you how exactly you can schedule it once it's uploaded. So while it's uploading you can go over to the drop down box right here that's showing private and you can go down here to scheduled. You can select the date, the time, and what's really important is adding a message. So when your video goes live, this message goes out to Google and Twitter. As long as you have these accounts linked to your YouTube channel. Once you set a date and a time and you add your message, this uploads, you can click publish on Saturday, August 12th and your video will automatically go live. And if you already have a video uploaded and you didn't change it while it was uploading you can go into here and select this drop down button. Click on Schedule. Now you can select the day, the time, your local time, then add your message here so that when the time comes on August 12th at 11am Your video goes live and you also have a message that goes live on Google and Twitter as long as these are connected. Once you have that done, all you do is click publish on Saturday August 12th and now your video is scheduled.
