I've had a love hate relationship with goals for a long time, but opening up and speaking to you here on my YouTube channel and also over on Instagram, so have a lot of you and you've been curious about, you know, what goals do I set, how do I achieve them, what that looks like. So I'm starting a brand new series here on my channel, sharing with you my goal progress. So you're gonna see where I stand after January 2022, how my goals went and did I achieve them or was it a total bust? Hey guys, welcome back. My name is Trina. If you are brand new here and this channel is helping you create content that converts, whether it's YouTube content, social media content, I just really want to make sure the time you're putting into creating content puts money in your bank account. One of my actual goals in 2022 is to keep track of my goals is kind of met up, right? And I saw this set up from Luis Henry's asana course probably two years ago and I was never good at keeping up with it because like I said, I have that love hate relationship with goals. I tend to set overachieving goals as an enneagram 3 and then when I don't hit them and I look at them, I think, wow, I'm a total failure and I suck at. So I really avoided setting any kind of small goals, large goals, I just kind of going at it as is. But this year I really want to be more open and transparent with all of you about goals. How many times we're going to say goals, maybe we should make a game out of this. But transparent about how I'm setting goals? Am I achieving them? What goals are actually helping me get to where I want to be in my business. And thus the series has been born. So like I said, Luis Henry's asana course has this goal check in every single month. And I did not do a good job of it the past few years. I'm committed to doing it this year. Year. That's why we're doing this series now for me. Month to month can get crazy. I never know what's gonna pop up. Just like the situation I'm in right now. This entire week. I do not have childcare. Both of my parents and my in laws who help watch the kids both have tested positive for you know what? So I have a kid at preschool that I am trying to bang out this video before he gets home. And I have another kid reading a book right outside my office door. So what helps me be able to stay on track with my plan in my business is I do 90 day planning. So luckily I did my 90 day plan for January, February and March. March already. So I have an idea of what my goals should be for January, February and March. And I don't have to really start from scratch, otherwise there's no way I would be keeping up with this. This also allows me to ensure I'm spacing my work out as well. Again, overachiever, I tend to pack too many projects into one month. And so this setup that Louise has in her Asana course also has you break down what projects you want to accomplish. So let me just walk through first, kind of like my overall goals for this 90 days that I have written in my full focus plan that I then pulled into digitally on Asana. One of the things I really want to focus on this year is my health. Towards the end of last year, end of October, November, December, I was in a real funk. I just felt kind of depressed, probably I wasn't happy. I realized I need to take some time to take care of me, obviously. So one thing that I have set to be a habit that I've been working on this month, January specifically, is self care. One of those things is I bought a sauna bag. I feel like a lot of my weight gain has been probably quarter buildup from stress. It is very stressful to run a business and be a mom. And so thinking that the heat bag would help maybe mitigate some of that cortisone. And what I've done with that is I've incorporated into a morning routine, which I'll tell you, I am not that big of a believer in a morning routine. We can do a whole nother video on morning routines, but it allows me to get up in the morning. My husband gets up at about 5:15, 5:30 to run and then I just get up, literally roll out of my bed, get in my sauna bag for like 30, 35 minutes. And it's allows me to have that fresh start to my day, have that self care and hopefully mitigating some cortisone levels that I'm sure my body is filled with. The other thing I've been working on too is actually working out. I do have an athletic path. I am a field hockey player and so I like to exercise ish. So one thing I've been doing is making sure I work out about 40 to 50 minutes five days a week. I've been doing that on my peloton and I break it up by doing a 30 minute weight training routine and then a 20 minute either run, walk or bike. I don't like running, so the run walk is a good mitigation there. And then switching it up with the bike, because who doesn't want a bike to Cody Rigsby. So that one goal has actually been going really well. I've been pretty consistent with the heat bag. It allows me to watch some of my favorite TV shows. I've been pretty consistent with working out because it does allow me to mitigate some of that stress as well. So that was one focus for January. Remember, January is just one month, so we can't put all of these resolutions in or all of these goals in one month. That was something that I wanted to be consistent with. And check. The next thing on my goal plan for this 90 days, which I'm working towards here in January, is to have my first six figure launch. I've never had a six figure launch. And we are gearing up to open the third edition of Video Strategy Academy. And I'm so excited for this. We're changing things around. And so in January, what my goal was was to be consistent on social media. So you'll see that we upped our YouTube production to two videos a week. That was a goal. We stayed consistent with that. So check achieve. I also had a goal post 15 Instagram posts and I think the total number was 19. So check. We accomplished that. Now, like I said, since this is throughout 90 days, I don't know if I actually hit that goal yet. But I did have those little things that I needed to get done in January to hopefully help me achieve that goal here in the next couple of weeks. While we're on the topic of content, I do want to share with you the amount of content that I'm creating every month, single month, to achieve some of these goals. So in the month of January, I'm looking at my notes here. I've published nine videos and in the month of January I got over 54,000 views and over 880 new subscribers. So if you're one of those new subscribers or one of my OGs, thank you so much for subscribing. I really do appreciate it. We did four new podcast episodes, 19 total Instagram posts, four Facebook posts have been a little quiet over there. Five newsletters out to my email list, in addition to promo emails for our challenge that we're hosting, which was about four more. One blog post, which we finally got out the door because I hired Latasha's team Uncanny Content to help me take these videos and put them into blog posts because I've upped my YouTube content to two videos a week. I'm filming more content and I don't have the time to put into blogging. So I outsource that to Latasha and her team is nailing it. I've also done a VIP day for a client where I've literally planned her YouTube strategy from scratch and gave her eight videos I believe in an eight hour day. And I wrote a speech and practice it for my talk at Marketers Heart conference this month. A lot of these pieces fit into achieving these goals and we like I said I wanted to post two videos a week on YouTube. I wanted to get 15 posts on Instagram and we hit 19. I'm just focusing on YouTube and Instagram at this moment. We are creating content for Facebook. I don't have the time to upload it, so that's kind of where my focus is right now. What is all that content done for me this month? Well, in the month of January, we invoiced in our agency over $24,000 to our clients. We also book or acquired two new clients and we had seven discovery calls this month. We're still in talks with quite a few of those. We are staggering our onboarding because we realize we can only onboard about two to three clients in a month. We still have six to seven leads that could possibly turn into clients as well. So the content we are creating is paying off for us. It's bringing us new leads and it's bringing us clients. Now. One of my overall goals for this year is to celebrate my wins. I always am focused on things that I didn't get done and I don't celebrate the things that I did get done. So some of my January wins are my lead strategist and I completed a brand new onboarding process for new employees. So as our agency continues to grow and we want to continue scaling it, we need to make sure we have a solid onboarding process for new employees because we failed in the past. And so we spent a lot of the end of December and on into the couple weeks in January really focused on how can we train employees. What does that look like creating that training content? And it's honestly been Chef's Kiss. Also, while planning for my launch here in February, I launched my challenge and so I updated the sales page, which I am celebrating. We had over a hundred signups within the first 48 hours of our challenge. I added a new onboarding sequence for this challenge member. So I could stay in touch with them. I also created social media posts to promote that challenge. So those are all wins that I'm 100% celebrating because that's a lot of work and to have that launched already, I mean, come on, gotta celebrate that. Now let's talk about goals for February because you're gonna want to come back next month, right, to see how these goals in February actually went. February is going to be very crazy. The first week of the month, which is what you're watching. This video is my challenge. I go live every single day in the Challenge Facebook group and basically my entire calendar is blocked for the week of the 7th to spend helping my challengers during the Video Game Plan Challenge. Not only am I giving them assignments to complete, I'm giving them feedback on it, I'm giving them adv, I'm giving them direction. Is basically like they get a YouTube strategist in their back pocket for $10. So pretty much the entire week of the 7th gone to the challenge. Then when we roll into the week of the 14th, we will be launching Video Strategy Academy. And something we're doing totally different this round is we are making it an open cart, closed cart, period. I've been against this, been for it, been against it off and on. But the reason why this time around it is going to be open, close cart is because we are going to launch brand new content, VSA 3.0 Live. So starting a week of February 28th, the very first brand new module of VSA 3.0 will go live. Then we will have a follow up call at the end of that week to check in on our members, see how they're doing, see where they're getting stuck. Then that next week we will launch module two again. We'll be able to check in on them, do a follow up call. So I'm really excited to be launching it this way and delivering this new version this way. My whole goal for VSA members is to have their very first video published on YouTube within 30 days of starting. And so I'm really going to be focused on talking about that the whole whole week of February 14th. I'm going to be doing lives, I'm going to be doing co working schedules, I'm going to be doing open house. So I've really kind of left my schedule pretty open. Those are the only projects that I'm focusing on because then the third week of February we're going to Disney and I'm getting the opportunity to speak at Marketer's Heart. I am so Excited. I worked really hard on this talk. I've practiced it, I got feedback on it and I cannot wait to go to Marketer's Heart and speak on stage for the first time in over two years. But it's also going to be my kids first time at Disney. So we're gonna be there for the entire week. We've already got a game plan for Disney. When I was planning for Disney, I didn't realize you needed like a PhD in Disney. We got a good game plan and I'm excited to take the downtime after launching. And that's why VSA 3.0 won't actually kick off till I get back. That allows anybody that wants to jump in during the week of the 14th to kind of get their calendar clear start getting ready to participate in the live VSA 3.0 round. Now. I do have some launch goals. I don't think I'm gonna share them here. I think maybe entire video on launching, like launching goals, launching planning, like behind the scenes of launching. If that's something you would like to see from me here on my YouTube channel, put launch video down in the comments so that I can incorporate that into my content strategy in March. And if you're wondering how have I gotten to this point in my business and you would like to get to a point in your business where you are able to make a six figure yearly income from your business, watch this video that I did last week where it literally breaks the math down for you to tell you exactly how to do it. And look, I'm not a numbers person, so this math was simple enough that I could explain and it's really what made me realize what I needed to do to hit that six figure income. And I hope it helps you too. So click that video and I'll see you over there.
