Softbox Lighting | Do I Need Special Lighting To Make A Video

Trena Little explains you don't need expensive softbox lighting to look good on camera. Sit in front of a bright window with the camera between you and the light, or grab a $25 Amazon 4-pack of daylight bulbs for your existing lamps.
Hello and welcome to Just the Tips with Trena where I give you my business tips in one minute while sipping on some wine or coffee. Just depends on how the day is going. It's a Monday morning so it looks like it's some coffee for me. Today's tips are all about lighting your videos. Do you need special fancy softbox lighting for your video content? No. The best light source for you to use if you are just starting out is natural light. Just sit yourself in front of a window that's getting a lot of light, place your camera between you and the window and start filming. If you can't film during the day or you don't get that natural sunlight because your windows are covered by trees or other buildings, go out and buy some daylight. Balance light bulbs. You can buy these light bulbs on Amazon or any Lowe's or Home Depot. Placing these types of light bulbs in any lamps that you already have at home will immediately give you a professional lighting kit at very minimal cost. I believe Amazon has a pack of four of these light bulbs for under $25. If you are looking for more detail on lighting your videos and how to I did a blog post on this over on my website so go ahead and click on the link right up here and there will also be a link in the description box below.
