You're thinking about starting a YouTube channel and you a don't know if you have the time to even tackle another social media platform and B you have zero subscribers on your YouTube channel. So how is that even going to help your business? Today I'm sharing with you three lessons I've learned after being on YouTube for one year and how YouTube has totally benefited and helped grow my business. Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks on how to create a video content strategy that works for you and your business. If you aren't subscribed to my channel yet, just make sure you go ahead and click that red subscribe button down below. So like I said, today I'm going to share with you the three lessons that I have learned after being on YouTube for one year. As of last week, it was official. I launched my first video one year ago and as there's been ups and downs and times I've wanted to pull my hair out, I I want to share with you these lessons so that you don't have to suffer the same way I did. So lesson number one, Plan your videos in advance. What I mean by planning your videos in advance is you need to go into Google, into YouTube and do some research. You don't just want to create video content you think your audience wants to see, you want to create video content your audience is actually searching because if you just create a video you think they want to see, nobody is going to find it. You have to make sure and validate that your idea is actually what they're searching for. This is how you're going to get more views, how you're going to rank your videos on YouTube and really how you're going to get the subscribers grow your channel, that's going to also grow your business and your authority. Tip number two is to be consistent with your video content. If you follow me here on my channel, you will know that I had a baby a few months ago and prior to having the baby I batch filmed like 12 videos so that I could remain consistent here on my channel while taking care of my baby. Now while I was actually off work with my baby, I was still posting two videos a week here on my channel and it's actually the biggest growth my channel has seen the entire time I've had a YouTube channel. Because I've been so consistent with my content, I am creating new content for you guys to see that you love, subscribe, tell your friends about. And it also benefits the YouTube algorithm, which so YouTube loves seeing new content posted on channels. So the more you are consistent with your video, the more YouTube is going to love you and actually rank your videos. An added bonus with creating consistent video content is you get to practice more being on video and you get better the more you do it. So While your first 10 videos might be a little shaky, if you keep going, the next 10 videos might be a little bit better and then the next 10 videos might be might be even more better. Then when you look back at those first videos, you think, oh my goodness, I grew so much. And the only way you're going to grow is if you actually do it and practice. And finally, tip number three is to make sure you brand your channel. When you have new viewers coming to your channel, you want to make sure they can relate it to any other platforms that you're on that you've already spent a lot of time building. So say Instagram or Facebook or Pinterest, you want them to see your YouTube channel and instantly think, oh, oh yeah, I follow them also on Instagram, I'm going to subscribe. Or oh yeah, I follow them on Facebook, I'm going to subscribe. By branding your YouTube channel to your already existent business, it really helps audience recognize you to grow your channel and to really continue to build on that authority you are creating on YouTube.
