STOP Wasting Time on Ineffective Lead Generation Strategies!

YouTube outperforms Instagram and TikTok for lead generation because of its search engine and social features. The speaker shares personal success stories and explains why businesses waste time on less effective platforms, then promotes an upcoming virtual conference on YouTube marketing.
I was in Croatia last month and I refused to take my laptop on this vacation. And while I was gone, I was able to grow 437 leads on my email list. And yes, I was running ads, but the majority of these leads were not coming from ads. And I'm going to walk you through exactly what I did and how I did it. So I don't think it's a secret here if you've been watching my content or if you're brand new to my content. I use YouTube as my primary lead generator and I want to talk a little bit why I think you should consider shifting your resources and maybe your time to make YouTube your primary lead generator and stop wasting your time on other platforms that are burning you out, like Instagram and TikTok. Us as business owners, we need leads pretty much like we as human need air, right? If you don't grow and get leads, you're not going to make sales, you're not going to make money. That means if you're not finding a way to consistently and constantly generate leads, your revenue, your sales won't be consistent or constant either. Now, YouTube is the only social platform and yes, I am going to say YouTube is a social platform because if you look right below this video, there are comments, there are way to engage and like this video just like any other social posts on Instagram or TikTok. But YouTube, unlike Instagram and TikTok, is the only place where you're creating content that consistently gets in front of new people and consistently drive new leads to your business. The power of YouTube is really the social platform aspect, but also the search engine aspect as well. Whether your audience is looking for a specific problem that you can solve, or they have watched a video relevant to your topic, YouTube is going to show your videos to them in search or, or even on the homepage based on what they have watched in the past. This is kind of a one, two punch for you because not only are you getting that search engine piece, but if somebody has been searching a problem that they had, they haven't come across your video yet. But when they log into YouTube the next time the algorithm on YouTube realizes, hey, this person has been searching for solutions around this particular problem. This channel actually talks about it and talks about it well, I'm going to put this channel's videos on on their homepage when they log in. And that is a second bonus of YouTube because this doesn't happen on any other social platform. There is one more reason why I think YouTube should be the primary lead generator for businesses because we are seeing massively across the board business owners getting burnt out, feeling overwhelmed, tired of creating content. In fact, let's do a quick little poll here. Go ahead and comment below. If you're tired of creating so much social media content. Right there. All commiserate in the comments together. YouTube is the only platform that you can take a break from and still get new views and leads from your videos. Whether you just want to take a break from creating content, whether you want to go on vacation, whether you want to focus on different aspects of Your business, your YouTube videos will continue driving new people to your business. The thing with social media, though, the second you stop posting on Instagram, the second you stop posting on TikTok, you get no leverage on those platforms. Same thing with ads. The second you pull your money from ads and you stop running ads, you're not going to get any leads. I think business owners really need to think about this because we initially believe YouTube is going to be so much work. But YouTube will be the only platform that allows you to take a break. In fact, I'm going to link to a video up here that I recently did where I showed you how a client of mine took six months off of posting content, still gained over 177,000 views and got 4,000, around 4,200 new subscribers. With not posting for an entire six months. Again, where are you going to find that on other social platforms? Okay, I don't think I can fully convince you to dedicate your time and resources to YouTube unless we talk a little bit more about Instagram and TikTok and Snapchat and those other social platforms. Now, initially, these platforms look like the easiest way out, right? Shorter types of content, less than a minute, maybe photos and text. And when you post, you see that instant dopamine hit, right? Likes comments, maybe impressions, views, and that feels good. We want that instant gratification that people are watching the content that we work on. And the past couple of years, it had been easier to grow on Instagram and TikTok. Why we have influencers these days, but this has also caused more people to flood to the platform, right? And as more people come to the platform, it's obviously more competition for everybody else. Now, competition isn't a bad thing. It's just something that you need to consider when you're working on growing your audience on a platform like Instagram and TikTok. Because what worked a few years ago to help you grow your audience over there isn't gonna work anymore. You're going to need to do more to break out. It's going to be pretty hard to see any type of significant growth on those platforms unless you're posting, I'm gonna say at least once a day. And TikTok suggests if you want to grow, post one to four times a day. While you think YouTube is going to be more time and work, when you put together the time and the work you are putting into Instagram or TikTok to make these short form videos and write the captions, sync it to the music, sometimes when you break that down, it could be equal amounts of time or maybe even less time on YouTube. The real big kicker when it comes to other social platforms when you're focusing on those is the reason why you're burnt out over there and you're creating so much content is because that content dies so fast. You're going to be lucky if your Instagram posts your real your story. Well, stories are 24 hours your TikTok. If you get traction on those posts for over 24 hours, more than likely that post is going to see the most it is going to see in about 10 to 12 hours. When we think about YouTube and the work that goes into it. I'm not candy coating it here. I know it takes work to go into a YouTube video, but I'm also saying if you can dedicate time to create one YouTube video a week, that one YouTube video could gain you followers, viewers, subscribers, clients, customers, sales for years to come. And I'm not just making this up. I have videos from 2020 in 2021, still getting views, still growing my email list and still sending customers to me every single day. This is why I'm not so stressed about being on Instagram anymore. I only show up there when I want to because my audience continues to grow because my YouTube videos are doing the work for me. I challenge you to really think about what is the ROI on your time and effort with a Instagram post that's going to expire in 24 hours. What may be easier up front but what is that post going to do for you next month or next year? And then start to think about the ROI you're going to put into YouTube. And while you may put more time into that video initially, it is going to work for you much longer. So far I've tried to convince you to adjust putting more time into your YouTube content by talking about the possibility of getting in front of new people while not needing to create more content and taking time off. I also talked about how much life a YouTube video has, as opposed to an Instagram post that or an Instagram reel that lives for maybe 24 hours. Now I really want to hit home here how powerful video content can be. Because video content is the highest converting piece of content that you create. And there's another reason why YouTube content, because it's video. But this other thing will definitely increase not only your audience obviously, but it will increase the conversions of those audiences and views. Now, since YouTube is a search engine, people are actively going to YouTube to search a solution to their problem, right? They're going to type in. Maybe they don't know how to customize their website homepage, or maybe they don't know how to write a sales page. They're actively looking for a solution to their problem. Now you just need to show up showing them your solution, right? They're not on YouTube for entertainment to scroll by. They are in a solution mindset. They are ready to buy something to help them fix their problem. Whereas on Instagram and TikTok, what do we do on that platform? We mindless scroll, right? We're in the grocery store, the grocery line, school car, pickup. We're not actively looking to have a problem solved. We're not actively looking for a solution. This is why when you put time into YouTube, you see results quicker and you see results longer. Because the people who are watching your YouTube videos, first of all, you're gaining their trust and they're realizing they like you on video, which speeds up that purchase process. But they are the people that I like to call your ready to buy audience. They are the people ready to buy the solution that you have. You, you just need to show up when they are searching for that solution. I want you to think about this. You may get less views on your YouTube videos than you may on your reels. But would you rather have a thousand views on a reel and get three customers or a hundred views on a YouTube and get 30 new customers? That's how you really need to think about focusing your time on YouTube. Now I told you I was going to share how I gained over 400 leads while on vacation in Croatia. But the main piece of this is because I'm focused on YouTube, right? And I want you to understand YouTube is almost like compounding interest. As you post a new video, your past videos get views and YouTube pushes them to more people. So then you post another video, that video gets views. Your older videos now get views too. YouTube pushes those to more people. Every time you're posting a new video, you're generating livelihood and activity back to older videos, which signals to the algorithm to push those videos to more people. And that's exactly what happened for me while on vacation. If you know anything about me, you know I'm a bachelor. So my videos were already done before I left for vacation. So the first video that went live when I left for vacation ended up getting over 8,600 views in less than two weeks. Then the second video that went live while I was on vacation gained over 7,100 views. But because of that compounding idea on YouTube, those videos sent more traffic to older videos. So in addition to those views on those videos, my channel as a whole gained 22,000 views in less than two weeks while I was on vacation. And I just posted two videos during that time. I talked about my offers, I talked about how to work with me. All of my other videos talk about those things as well. That is how I'm able to generate leads consistently, constantly, without needing to show up on Instagram. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if you post a reel or a TikTok, do you see your past posts or TikToks getting traction? Mostly, I'm assuming not one other thing that you may not think about. While this was 22,000 views, that was also almost 2000 hours of watch time on my channel. 2000 hours of people watching me. Can you imagine what that does for conversions? When they watch me for multiple minutes, 5, 10, 15 minutes when they go to my site, when they go to my offer, the higher probability that they're going to convert versus a 60 second reel, right? And it's not just me. I've seen this work time and time again with the clients that I work with. And whether you're selling one on one services, coaching courses, memberships, digital products, YouTube, honestly is going to be the key to getting steady, predictable growth. Now I'm going to dive into a specific 90 day action plan that you can do and help you customize it for yourself at a virtual conference that I'm hosting on September 24th. This conference is called the Evergreen and Evermore Conference and I'm going to show you how to attract your ready to buy customer every day with just one YouTube video a week. There's going to be three key sessions that are me teaching you how to get started or how to amplify the YouTube channel that you currently have. I want you to pause a second and think about 2025, which is only four months away. How do you want to start that new year? Do you want to get started on New Year's Day thinking about I've got to post something so that I can keep my channel growing, keep my Instagram growing. Or do you want to wake up, maybe from your champagne hangover on New Year's Day, knowing that your YouTube videos that you've posted the last couple of weeks are already churning for you, have already sent you a sale on New Year's Day, have already got you email signups on New Year's Day? When that Head Start, click the link on your screen or down in the description box below to grab a ticket to the Evergreen and Evermore Virtual Conference.
