The Minimalist YouTube Strategy That Makes Me Sales Every Day

This is a YouTube video titled "The Minimalist YouTube Strategy That Makes Me Sales Every Day" created in January 2025. It features Trena Little sharing her approach to creating effective YouTube content with minimal time and effort, focusing on simple setups, batching, and strategic short videos to generate consistent sales. The video is a solo presentation aimed at business owners looking to optimize their content marketing without overcomplicating the process.
What if I told you YouTube doesn't have to be overwhelming and time consuming? In fact, you could create videos in about two hours a week and see better results than you see on Instagram, on TikTok, and with your ads. Let me explain how and why Adopting a minimalistic mindset can change everything when it comes to your perspective on YouTube because you are missing out not using YouTube seriously in your content marketing strategy. You see many business owners believe they need to spend hours on elaborate setups, ed scripts, all to just succeed on YouTube. The truth overcomplicating leads to burnout, inconsistency and poor results. Just because you have fancier edits or you go out and buy that $1,000 vlogger camera you see all the YouTubers using does not equal sales from your YouTube videos. You could spend 10 plus hours editing a video that results in no sales. I had a client who came to me when I started working with her and she's like, I can't take it anymore. It takes me about 10 hours to edit a video. And I thought, okay, holy cow. But she was wrapped up in this perfectionist mindset that the video need to be perfectly edited. Once we stripped it back to a more simple and repeatable system for her editing process, not only was she able to cut her editing time in more than half because she took it from 10 to around an hour to edit a video, she doubled her leads as well with each video she posted. And we knew this was going to work because we looked at her YouTube analytics. And even though she was spending more time to make this fancier editing, her audience retention graph showed people weren't watching her videos even that long because the structure of her video was off. So now she can take that extra time she was spending on editing and spend it on optimizing her funnels, following up with her leads, and scaling her sales from each video she posts. So what is this minimalistic approach to YouTube? Trina the minimalistic approach to YouTube focuses on doing less, but achieving more. Short, strategic videos can't actually work better for you than the long elaborate productions you're probably thinking you need to do. Now. This is not me saying short vertical videos should overtake longer form videos, but each video you put on YouTube should have one clear takeaway for the viewer and not need to be a complete TED Talk to still get daily sales from your videos. The best videos that get results are Those quick videos, four to 10 minutes, that give your viewer an aha moment and really gets them motivated and excited to take action. And, and the thing that you teach on, the thing that you coach on, the thing that you consult on. So what are some minimalistic strategies you can adapt right now? First of all, don't think you need massively long videos. I never know how long my videos are actually going to be. I know what the title is and I meet and I need to make sure I'm delivering on that title. But 5 to 10 minutes is a great place to start on YouTube. Keep your filming equipment super simple. Do one camera angle like I'm doing now. You could literally set it in front of a window that I have right here. So no fancy equipment needed. And you just need to make sure your audio is clean. Those are the only three things you really need to do for setup. And I'm telling you, you've heard me talk about batching one or two or 20 times, but it honestly is the best approach to YouTube because we're not looking like this every single day. It also takes a little bit of a mindset shift to get into filming. So if you can batch your filming in one day and say do two or three, that's really going to systematize your process and allow you to see those results on YouTube that you want without it taking so much time. I think it's really important remind you here, you're not a YouTuber. If you are trying to sell your course, your digital products, your coaching program, your agency services, you don't need to follow the strategies that YouTubers need to follow. Because the way YouTubers are making money is through AdSense. And the way they make more money through AdSense is getting longer watch times, more views, more subscribers. As a business owner, you just need to create the strategic videos that get in front of your ready to buy viewer that is going to buy your products and services. Because if you are just to make one sale a month from your course, it's probably going to be more than you would ever make from AdSense in a month anyways. So it's okay to minimize how you're doing YouTube because the results are going to come from the strategy you're implementing on your YouTube channel. Your audience is going to care about the value you're giving them, the authenticity that you're showing them and the trust that you are building with them and through video. It's not going to be your fancy editing, it's not going to be like a fancy background. It's you and building your authority and trust with them. There's been a time when I was between homes and I Had to shoot my videos in front of an ugly yellow wall. Like no personality whatsoever on these videos, but I focused it on the value and I was still able to make sales monthly from my YouTube content while I shot in an ugly yellow room. And even more recently, I've editing my Monday videos here on my YouTube channel. And these Monday videos are literally sending me sales daily. In fact, the first Monday that I edited a YouTube video, I made 20 sales that week from that Monday video. I'm doing minimalistic editing as you can see on this video right now. And it takes me about a little less than an hour to edit the video. So on total between scripting and filming and editing these Monday videos take me about two hours a week keeping it simple and and still making around 10 sales a week from my Monday videos. And just think about that. That's compounding each Monday video. And then because of the evergreen power of YouTube, the past Monday videos is getting more views and getting some sales and the Monday before that. That's where minimalistic YouTube mindset, just getting past the over complicating thing can really make a difference with your content marketing strategy that will make you more sales. But I know you're probably thinking, Trina, this sounds great, but I don't even have two hours that I can find in my schedule to do YouTube. Let me explain where this time actually is coming from. If you just pause on the other marketing efforts you're doing, like I'm going to guess and let me know in the comments if you are doing this, say Instagram guilty. You are spending hours a week posting on Instagram. Whether you're doing carousels, whether you're doing reels, whether you're doing stories. And some days you hardly even get 10 likes on a post or 30 views on a reel or a story. What you need to be doing is taking the time of what you're doing on Instagram and put it into YouTube. In fact, last year I shared in about October how I was quitting Instagram. On Wednesday I'm going to be publishing a video with a follow up on how it's going. And spoiler alert, it's going fantastic. Like I'm not missing out on anything on Instagram and I'll be sharing what I took the time that I was using on Instagram put it into to make more sales. So you need to think about YouTube is not another thing to do on your schedule. But you need to think about that time replacing something that's not working, something that you're doing to try to generate revenue. And it's not generating revenue because if you're spending two hours a week on Instagram or TikTok, imagine reallocating that time to one YouTube video a week. One video a week that can generate leads and sales for months, even years to come, as opposed to the short lifespan of Tik Tok and Instagram. The other thing I want you to realize is setup can be minimalistic. You don't need to be tech savvy. In fact, I am not tech savvy at all. I show my clients every day simple scripts to follow, simple processes and setup that makes filming and editing way much easier than they ever thought possible because they were overcomplicating it. You still might be thinking, but Trina, I still hate the way I look or hate the way I sound on camera. Or maybe you're the I don't even have time to get camera ready.
