A creator explains why they're leaving YouTube education to focus on business coaching for entrepreneurs scaling to six figures. They share their journey, the challenges they faced, and their vision for building a supportive community with transparent, helpful content.
I'm done teaching YouTube. After seven years of being in this niche, in this space, it's no longer going to be the meat of the content that I'm focusing on anymore. I think it's really important for you to understand why I'm making this change and that I'm not going anywhere yet. I'm not leaving. The last few months have really been kind of a pivotal time for me. There's really no big one reason why or what's made this happen. If you watch the series that I did back in December where I shared my entrepreneurial journey those first five years that I started my business, in fact, I'll link to them all up here, I think, and I'll also put them down in the description box for you to catch if you didn't check my ERAS tour. But if you saw those videos, you know that I didn't start my business and immediately saw success. During those first five years, I overcame postpartum depression. I experienced panic attacks. But in the end, I carved out a pretty good niche for myself here on YouTube, and it's got me to where I am right now. But while going through all of my journals and looking through all my planners those first couple of years, I think I started to realize there's always been something holding me back. It's weird, but back In September of 2022, in the middle of launching Video Strategy Academy, it was going pretty decent. It was nothing big, but it was pretty average of a launch. I had to have my gallbladder removed. And since then, it's like, woke up with, like, the clouds disappearing, like somebody kind of wiped the lens off that I was looking through and became pretty clear in what I wanted to be as a business owner and where I wanted to take my business in the next five years. In the YouTube education space. For the last seven years, I've honestly felt that I've been on this treadmill of trying to prove myself. Why? To who? I don't know. But I've constantly felt like I've needed to prove myself. I never thought that I was doing enough. I never felt like I was fully looked at as a YouTube strategist, mainly because I didn't have the huge numbers. You know, I don't have my own silver play button, although I have clients that do. And I don't have, you know, hundreds of thousands of subscribers. But in my bank account, from my business that I built from the strategy that I use here on YouTube, I've made hundreds of thousands of dollars and I've helped Multiple clients make hundreds of thousands of dollars as well with my YouTube strategy. And so while I don't have these pretty vanity metrics to make me look like a successful YouTuber, my bank account says otherwise. My clients bank accounts say otherwise as well. But if you don't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers, even though you're making lots of making your clients lots of money, you're just not looked at as a serious YouTube educator. So I think the realization after having my gallbladder removed again, weird that this all happened around this time. I came to this realization that I'm done trying to prove myself to these people. I'm done trying to fit myself into this space and tired of just feeling toxic, really. Now YouTube will continue to be my number one when it comes to traffic, source and content. I'm not going anywhere here on YouTube. I love creating YouTube videos. I'm so excited as I've planned for 2023 more time and space to not only up my weekly schedule here on YouTube, but to get more creative with my content as well. But I've decided to pivot the type of content that I'm going to create here to just remove myself from the negativity and the constant comparison I've been putting on myself when it comes to being in the YouTube education space. I'm just gonna shift myself to a space that I feel really good about and that I'm really excited to serve. So from this period forward, here on my YouTube channel, I'm going to be sharing all the strategy, tactics, tips and tools that you can use to scale your business to six figures and beyond. In April 2022, I released my first ever coaching program. It's kind of a hybrid coaching program, Mastermind, called 10K on Replay, where I was helping my clients find the business strategy to consistently make $10,000 in their business. And while YouTube is a very strong arm in their business and how they generate leads for their business, that's not the only part of business strategy that they needed to get to consistent 10k months. And spending the last 7 months working with them, onboarding even more clients in 10k on replay and really building solid business models for these clients. I realized how fulfilling this work was actually for me. And seeing them grow, seeing them hit their revenue goals, is what really made me excited and really showed me that's where my passion lies and that's where I can really help people. This is what I need to be focusing on now. Yeah, I get it. Okay. Yeah. Another coach, Trina, is going to be a Coach. Now I get it. It has taken me seven years to even get to this place where I wanted to be considered a coach. You've probably had negative experiences with some type of coach along the line. I have as well. But over the past two years, I've worked with a business coach that has really completely changed my mind in how a coach, coachee relationship can be and honestly, how helpful a coach is in your back pocket. And that's what gave me the confidence to try my own program. So like I said when I launched it in April, I got to experience it, I got to beta test it. And being able to give a great experience so that people aren't so hateful towards coaches anymore. And for me to be completely transparent with my clients and share with them the real way to get to consistent income has just been life changing for me this year. So here on my channel, moving forward, I have a few goals that I want to be held accountable for and share with you. And then I do have a really big ask from you. So goal number one for my YouTube channel here is to be transparent. I'm not going to pull the wool over your eyes. I'm not going to candy coat something. I'm not going to, you know, make it seem better for clickbait. I want to share with you the real honest truth of entrepreneurship in scaling your business to six figures and beyond. Because it's not easy and it's not following one special formula that's going to get you there. You've really got to understand that scaling a business to six figures and beyond is totally doable. But you need to understand the business model that's going to work best for you in your niche. Because not every business model is cookie cutter. Okay? And so here on my channel, I plan to share as many real life experiences and share my experience as transparent as possible without, like I said, candy coating it. The second goal that I have is to be helpful, share content here on my channel that's going to help you. Whether it's going to help you be inspired to create content or help you actually figure out how to do something, I just want you to be watching my YouTube every single week and think, dang, that was so helpful. I'm so glad that she created that is the second goal that I have on my channel. The third big goal, and this may need some of your help as well, is to build a community. Build a community full of business owners who are trying to get to that six figure mark and beyond. Sharing your journey, sharing your experiences, connecting with each other, you know, sharing your support because it is hard and there are so many statistics about how many businesses fail in the first five years and even more of those women owned business owners. So I really want to work on building this community here on my YouTube channel for all of you business owners that are trying to get to six figures and beyond and give you that help and give you that transparency to do it. Now, the big ask that I have for you, what do you want to see here on my YouTube channel to help you get to six figures and beyond in your business? What topics do you want to hear me talk about? What tools? What products? What style of videos? Like give me all of your thoughts down in the comments below because I really want to be structuring my content specifically for you. We've made it an organizational goal of ours to help 1,000 female entrepreneurs make a hundred thousand dollars or more in their business by the end of 2024. And I want to know what you need from me to help you be one of those women business owners and what videos I can create to help you get there. If this sounds exactly what you've been looking for here in the YouTube and online world, make sure you are subscribed to this CH channel. Make sure you do have that little belt notification turned on because that will actually let you know when I publish a new video. I will be changing my posting schedule here shortly. We'll be bumping up to two videos a week. But like I said, the more I can hear from you and the struggles and the pain points that you are hearing to get to six figures and beyond, the more I can focus on the right content to create. I hope you'll join me. Who's excited.
