Twitter Chat | How To Start One For Your Brand

Callie and Kali explain how to start a Twitter chat to grow your brand. They cover organizing and planning a chat, and how to use it to build your personal brand on Twitter.
Hey guys and welcome back to Just the Tips with Trena where I provide you a 1 minute business tip that you can take action on today while I sip on some coffee or wine. But today is another installment of my Collab series where I get an industry leader to give you their one minute tip. Today's tip is all about growing your business with Twitter by participating in Twitter chats. I've asked my friend Callie who runs the Twitter chat Creative Coffee Chat every Monday night at 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time to give you her one minute tip on using Twitter chats to grow your business.
When it comes to Twitter, I think one of my favorite things is a Twitter chat. I started my own Creative Coffee Hour about a year ago and it has done so much for my personal brand. If you're thinking about starting your own, I have one piece of advice for you. Get organized and plan ahead. Twitter chats typically last five an hour, but that hour goes so fast. I like to have my topic and six to seven questions planned out ahead of time. They don't have to be complex, but they should really support the topic you're talking about. I like to go ahead and put my questions into a Word document where I can copy and paste directly from that Word document into Twitter. And if things are really feeling busy that day, I'll even pre schedule questions out in a tool like hootsuite, Tweet or tweetdeck. It really helps me keep the focus on my audience versus worrying about managing the chat.
Thanks Kali. Be sure to check out Kali on all her social media platforms. I will link them down in the description box below, so go check her out. Have you participated in any Twitter chats before? What are some of your favorites? Let me know down in the comment section below. If you like seeing these quick one minute tip videos from me, make sure you are subscribed to this channel so that you don't miss out on any more of these collab videos. And be sure that you show some love and share this video on whatever social media platform is your favorite. If you have any specific topics that you would like to hear me talk about, make sure you also leave those in the comment section below. Thanks for watching. Bye. So overwhelm and stress have been the story of my life the past couple weeks, so I spent some time yesterday to get everything down on paper. I first wrote a master list of everything that I wanted to get done this week. Twitter can be a great place to build your tribe and have engaged followers, but how can you start today? The first thing you have to do is make sure your profile is pretty. So what I mean by that is for people to want to follow you, they're going to have to know why they're following you.
