It is so hard to stand out these days on social media. And maybe you feel like every single platform you try, like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok even, everything is already so saturated because when you post, nobody's liking it, nobody's thumbing it up, nobody's commenting on it. And if nobody is engaging with your content or knows you exist, it's kind of hard to get people to want to hire you for your services or buy your digital products. What if I told you there was a way to quickly cut through all the noise and get more people noticing you? So in return, that means more client inquiries in your inbox and more sales notifications because people are actually buying your digital products. If you're ready to hear how you can be more than just noise, hit that thumbs up button below and let's dig in. Hey guys, welcome back. My name is Trena. If you're new here and this channel is a place for business owners, entrepreneurs and content creators who want to learn how to grow their business organically through online video. So it should come as no surprise to you when I drop this bomb. The best way to start promoting yourself in your business is through online video. It's 2020 now, and while this year has been at the least a roller coaster, if your business isn't using video by now, it's really going to be hard for you to reach your potential and hit some of those sales goals that you really want to hit. Now, when I say video, I literally mean any kind of video. Instagram TV, Instagram stories, Facebook Live, TikTok even. But here's the thing. I know you are a super busy person and you want to make sure the videos you are creating are giving you the biggest bang for your buck, right? You want to make sure when you create a video, there's a return on that time and investment you put into that video. So if you want to make sure all the time that you put into creating video pays off for you, that is very important. When you hear me say this right now, you need to be on YouTube. And I know YouTube can seem overwhelming and it's kind of scary to start a brand new platform from scratch. And you're probably thinking you need to have the best camera, the perfect background, the perfect strategy. Oh my goodness, if I could tell you the amount of people that I've heard say, I can't start my YouTube channel. So I have my strategy in place, you don't even need that to get started on YouTube to see the power you can have with YouTube video, because think about it for a second. When you got started on Instagram, did you start posting photos with a fancy DSLR camera and all this lighting? Probably not. And let's touch on that lack of time issue that so many of us entrepreneurs and content creators have. Look, I'm a busy mom of two and we have been in this house for four months now in quarantine, and my husband has been working in the same office as me. So I get the lack of time, but I carve out time every single month to create these YouTube videos and make it work. There have been multiple videos the past couple of months where my kids have shown up, and that's what makes me relatable. That's what allows me to connect with you on a different level because I'm being real and honest and we're all in the same boat right now being quarantined at home with our kids. And so don't think everything needs to be perfect and your kids need to be shipped off somewhere for the day. Make it work, and just record video content in a place that feels like you. Okay, maybe you're not 100% sold on YouTube yet because you're thinking, trina, holy heck, that's a whole lot of work to jump into that platform. So you really want to hear why YouTube is going to be the place that you really want to hang your content hat on, so to speak, why YouTube should be the place you're creating content for. So let me just share with you five things that YouTube can do to really maximize your content and get more eyes on your content than any other social media platform out there. First, there is no other content platform out there that is searchable. While yes, blog content is searchable, when you're posting content on Facebook, On Instagram, on TikTok, nobody can search your content. And none of those pieces of content either can show up on Google. So what other content has the power for you to show up on? 2 search engines. Two of the most popular search engines in the world, Google and YouTube. YouTube videos. Your YouTube videos can show up at the top of Google Search. And if you embed that YouTube video in your blog, which we're going to talk about here in a few minutes, your blog post kind of gains this extra SEO juice. I'm not an SEO wizard here, but when you put video embedded on your blog post, Google values video content over all the other content out there. So you a higher potential to have your blog posts actually rank higher on Google. So on the first page of Google search, you could have a YouTube video and a blog post. What other content is going to do that for you? But the biggest power of having your content searchable is you can show up for your audience when they need you. Most people are going to Google or YouTube when they're trying to figure out a problem and they're just frustrated. Think about the know like and trust that you can build if you solve their problem right when they're in the thick of it, you have a video that shows them how to do something that they couldn't figure out how to to do. You're going to create an instant loyal follower. Second, YouTube is not saturated. I know you may think that with over 500 million channels on YouTube, but here's the thing. Those 500 million channels, most of them aren't doing best practices on YouTube. So if you've watched any of my videos, you'll know some of the best practices that you can do on YouTube. There are channels out there that aren't thinking about their title. They aren't creating a custom thumbnail. They aren't thinking about how to send people to their lead magnet or their opt in or their business or even to another video. So really what you can do to stand out on YouTube on day one is have a thumbnail and have a title. And you're already doing more than a lot of people are doing on YouTube to give you that leg up showing up on YouTube and getting your content seen by more people. Another reason why YouTube should really be the place you're hanging your hat is because video builds know like and trust faster than any other medium. Faster than Instagram captions, faster than blog posts, faster than imagery. Video will instantly allow you to connect with your audience to build a community super fast. People are going to be able to see you. They're going to either be able to relate to your personality and like your personality or not. And the people you want to work with are the ones that like you. They're going to be the fun ones to work with. So while you may repel some people, that is fantastic because those are the people you don't want to work with. But the people who connect with you are going to be those great clients and students that you want. Video is the only place that you can really do that. Another reason why again, YouTube is the place you need to be creating content because we talked about how it shows up in search. So once you create your core content here on a search engine, it is so easy to repurpose that content. What I do is I film these YouTube videos and then I will film alternate endings for Facebook and Instagram TV so it looks native to the platform and I have specific calls to action for the platform to get more engagement there. Then we just multiply this video everywhere. So I have a YouTube video, I'll have a Facebook video, I'll have an Instagram TV video. We'll then cut up clips from this video. We'll have Instagram posts, Instagram stories, LinkedIn video. We also take the transcript from this video and turn it into a blog post. We also pull out quotes for graphics, quote graphics for Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and we also create video pins on Pinterest because that's something not everybody is doing on Pinterest and we really stand out by doing that. Think about it, how can you turn a blog post into a video? It doesn't happen, right? But you can turn that video into over 10 plus pieces of content. That is the power that you can have with video content. So I know I've got a lot of reasons here, but this is the biggest one. YouTube is an amazing place to build a community. So some of you don't Even think about YouTube as a social media platform. But if you look below, there are comments and I'm engaging with my audience every single day. I literally have a check mark on my daily to do's to jump into YouTube and engage in the comments. Also, once you hit 1,000 YouTube subscribers, you also get the community tab. How many of you even knew this existed? You can do polls, you can share posts, you can share your video on that community tab. And if you have a thousand subscribers, you can also use YouTube Reels, which is basically like Instagram stories. And it is the best way to connect with your audience and build that loyal following of people that are going to shout about you from the rooftop. If I have you sold on YouTube, I created a 15 page roadmap for you that's going to walk you through all the steps you need to do to make sure your channel is set up for success and to make sure your videos drive you more views and more leads to your business.
