Unrealistic expectations people have when trying to grow a YouTube channel. Just post your videos or post more and people will find you magically. This is not true. I'm going to share with you in this video what you need to do to ensure when you publish your first video or the first one after you watch this, that you will get your video in front of the people that will love your content and who will want to buy from you. And once you can do that, it'll be a lot easier to for the algorithm to put your videos in front of more people like that. Thus grow your channel quicker the most important thing to understand when trying to grow your YouTube channel quicker is having a solid audience strategy. Building a loyal and engaged audience here on YouTube is the key to getting your videos in front of more people and getting the algorithm to do all that work for you. Without a clear audience strategy, it can be very hard to not only attract new viewers to your videos, but to keep them them coming back and watching video after video from you. Here are the core steps to walk through to get a clear definition of your audience. To start building this audience strategy, first clearly define who your audience actually is. What are their interests? What are their demographics? Right female male 25 to 35 younger older what are their preferences, what do they like doing? What do they like watching and most importantly what are the pain points that they have around the topic you are talking about on your YouTube channel and what are the solutions that you have now? I was talking specifically to business owners because that is the main reason that I create these YouTube videos is to help business owners utilize YouTube strategy to attract more leads, more sales, more clients. So do you really want to think about the person who's going to want to buy from you buy the solution you have the course, the one on one service, the coaching. Who is that person? For example, my audience here on YouTube isn't just for people who want to be YouTubers or become YouTube famous. Like I said, this YouTube channel is specifically created for business owners wanting to use YouTube to grow their email list. Some more courses, get more coaching clients, more one on one services clients. Another example is a client of mine. Her audience isn't just about saving money or money saving tips. It's about living frugally. This audience wants and enjoys different content than just money saving tips and we'll click on the videos that are made with them in mind around those frugality topics and trending things going on. This is where I kind of want to weave in the idea of niching and you may have heard you've got a niche down on YouTube here to see success. But I think it's really important to understand where you should be niching. And you're not niching on a topic, you're niching on an audience. Again, if we look at my example, I'm not niching on just YouTube for business owners. My audience is business owners. So I may talk about content calendars, which I do. I may talk about productivity tips, I may talk about what I'm doing on Instagram, what emails I send, what my launch strategies look like. Because my audience, those of you watching, are online business owners. And I want to bring online business owners to my channel. The same thing. If you are a coach of some sort, like a business coach, your audience may not be searching the problem of needing a business coach or a business strategy at that point in time, but what they may be searching is time management or productivity help to juggle all the tasks that they have in their business or hiring a team help. Right? So while you may be focused on business coaching or I may be focused on YouTube strategy, I want to think about what are all the topics that specific person is focusing on is not just going to create YouTube videos on Instagram strategy. They're going to reach all of those other topics that that audience would be interested in. By focusing on this niche audience, it really expands what you can talk about on your YouTube channel so that you don't get bored and so that your audience wants to come back and watch every single video. Because if you're talking about the same topic over and over and over again, they're going to get bored and be like, I've already heard it talk about that a hundred thousand times. Trust me, my channel has been there. So by understanding your audience, their pain points, what they enjoy, what they're going through, what solution they need, you can create consistent content that resonates with them so they'll find your videos and they will keep watching your videos and keep coming back for more. Go ahead and hit that like button or that thumbs up button to let me know that this is making sense. Is this starting to make sense for you? When you look at the content you should be creating on your YouTube channel? Once you're clear on who your audience is, the second thing you need to do is going to take some legwork and you're going to need to start researching who they are watching on YouTube. I tell my clients all the time that if you're creating videos on YouTube, you have got to be watching YouTube videos, especially the videos that your audience is consuming. Now this isn't permission to watch these people's videos and copy them or take their content and say it's yours. But you want to see the topics that they're discussing. What are the most popular topics, how are they delivering that content, and what is your audience liking by the views or engaging with by the comments on that video. So an exercise that you can do is go to some channels that you know your audience is watching or enjoying. Go to the Popular tab to easily see what topics are most popular with your audience. You can also go to the most recent videos as well. And what you're gonna look for are any particular videos that where the views are significantly higher than the average. So let's say average views on videos are 800 to 1,000 views. And you see a couple videos that maybe have four or five thousand views that would signal something about that particular video. That particular topic really resonated with your audience. So how can you take that topic and talk about it or utilize that as a topic for your channel? The real power in this kind of market research on YouTube is reading the comments of some videos and you will really get a true understanding of what your audience likes, what questions that they're having, what problems that they are wanting to solve. I'm going to tell you, the comment section of videos is such a goldmine of really starting to understand your audience, especially your audience that is already on YouTube because they're engaging on those videos now. I love watching YouTube and I'm always looking for new or different creators that I have never found before. So I'd love it if you could please share with me some of your favorite people that you watch here on YouTube down in the comments. So not only can I get some ideas, but we can all get some ideas of creators to watch here on YouTube to just get ideas of maybe topics or video styles as well. Because we can also get inspired by channels that aren't in our niche and utilize what they're doing. The style of thumbnails, the style of filming that they're doing, incorporate it into our content as well. So share some of your favorite channels below. Now, before I jump into a very important third step to finding your YouTube audience and growing your channel quicker.
