You're brand new to YouTube and you want to do everything you can to make sure your channel is successful and benefits your business. Today's video is just for you because I'm going to share with you the top five things YouTube beginners need to know. Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I provide online entrepreneurs tips and tricks on how to create a video content strategy that works for them and their business. I post new videos every week, so if you aren't subscribed to my channel, just make sure you go ahead and click that red subscribe button down below. And let's get into these five things you need to make sure you're doing. As a YouTube beginner, the very first thing you need to do is to validate any video ideas you have for YouTube. You don't want to just create video content you think your audience wants to see. You want to create video content you know your audience wants to see. So you need to do research. You need to research the keywords and phrases they are searching. I use a tool called TubeBuddy. I will link it down below so you can learn more about it. TubeBuddy allows me to find the exact keywords and phrases that my target audience is searching so that I'm creating content that they actually want to see and not content I think they want to see. This just helps them find it quicker in search results, gets more views to your video, and helps you convert your viewers into a loyal community. The second tip is to stay consistent. So so I suggest uploading one video every week. Don't come out of the gate and say I'm going to do three videos a week. If you don't think that's possible, stick with one video a week. See how it goes. If you don't stay consistent, YouTube's definitely going to penalize you and it's going to definitely hurt your video ranking. So what I mean by ranking is where your video ranks in the search results relating to your keywords and phrases. So if you create a video on how to start a business, you want to make sure you're ranked for that keyword phrase. And ranking can be anywhere from like 1 to 20. And that means you're showing up on that front page of YouTube search results for anybody searching that phrase. So by not being consistent, you're really going to hinder your chance to get ranked. Like I said, I suggest doing one video a week. I've definitely seen the hurt on my videos. When I stopped posting consistently, I dropped off the posting consistency a few times throughout my time on YouTube and definitely saw what can happen. If you can do one a week, the same day, the same time, that is the absolute best option for you to getting ranked and getting your content out there to more viewers. The third thing you need to know as a YouTube beginner is to put effort in your optimization. Don't just throw up a video and put it on YouTube because guess what? Nobody's going to watch it. You're not going to get any views. It's not going to be beneficial to your channel or your business research before you create any content. It kind of goes back to tip number one that I have. You want to find those keywords and phrases and then once you create that content and you put it on YouTube, make sure you're filling out the description box. Make sure you're entering tags that are going to be fine. Make sure you're transcribing your videos and adding cards. Do all the optimization that you can because ultimately you you want your videos to be seen by as many people as possible. And if you don't put the effort into optimizing it, nobody's ever really going to watch your video unless it's your mom or your mom's bridge team, right? The fourth tip for a YouTube beginner is to learn the YouTube platform. YouTube offers so many great tools with inside the creator studio that can really help you improve your channel and your videos. Go into your creator studio and just go check out the channel option. It gives you video watch time so you can see how long people are watching your videos. It gives you traffic so you can see where people are coming from to watch your videos. You can get the demographics of your video. This is all free content that YouTube provides for you to really improve your strategy and improve your video content so you can make sure that people are continuing to watch your video the whole way through and keep watching content that you are creating. And finally, the fifth tip that I have is don't underestimate the the power of engagement on your video. What I mean by engagement, I mean likes, shares and comments. These are all huge factors that go into YouTube optimization and how your video will ultimately get ranked in the search engine. So try to get as many people to like comment and share on your video. That's why I ask you guys every time I finish a video to like this video. Leave me a comment down below. Share it. YouTube makes it so simple to share by those social media platforms right under the video onto Pinterest or on the Facebook So do as many of those as possible in the first 24 hours when you post your video. So now I'm going to ask you guys, please leave a comment down below letting me know which tip you found most helpful. And also, like this video, hit any of those social share buttons below and share it on your favorite social media platform.
