Does your business really need a YouTube channel? I mean, isn't YouTube where people go to watch cat videos and videos of people being ridiculous? Welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips with Trena where I provide you quick business tips while I sip on some coffee or wine. Because let's be real, that's all us business owners really need in life, right? So YouTube and business, should you marry them up? Yes. Why? First, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world. Over 1.3 billion people go to YouTube monthly and over 5 billion videos are viewed daily. Think about that. Your audience is most likely already on YouTube and using it weekly, if not daily. And only 9% of US businesses are currently on YouTube. So the market isn't saturated yet, like Twitter and Instagram and Facebook. You can get in on this now before it becomes too saturated. Second, you can get your website ranked higher in Google search results just by creating YouTube videos. That's right, Google considers videos just as important as text only websites and they are actually ranking videos higher in their search results. You can utilize this information by creating complementary videos to your blog posts. Kind of like what I do. For every video that I create here on YouTube, there is a blog post over on my website and I embed this video to that blog post. This creates backlinks on your website and really boost the authority of your website, which is really what gets you ranked higher on search results. And finally, you can convert more leads to sales just with video. People don't want to buy something from someone they don't know just by creating a video and you being personal and talking to them one on one, they are much likely to begin to trust you and want to buy from you. So how do you convert them exactly? Well, have a call to action in every single video. So you can use the card functions or the annotation function here in YouTube to get people to click to the link you want them to go to. So when I tell you to go visit my website, click right up here. There'll be a card. You can do the same thing. Now you can make that link be your sales page or the sign up to your email list. Just have that call to action and an easy clickable link by using a card. Or I will put an annotation right here that you can click on that will take you to my website. I just shared three huge benefits for having a YouTube channel for your business, but I'm not done yet. I have three more great benefits over on my website. So go over to my blog and read the rest of the benefits. If you're interested, you can go ahead and click on the link on up here or click on the link down in the description box below.
