Most coffee shops, they focus on quality drinks and great service. But the best ones, they take it a step further. They make sure that entire in store experience from end to end is smooth, fast, and efficient for their guests. In this episode, we're talking about all the ways that you can improve your in store experience. So let's jump right in. One of the easiest ways to improve the in store experience, make checkout seamless. Starbucks really nailed this by letting customers load up their app with money. And essentially, with a quick scan, you can pay at checkout. You also get extra points by paying with store credit. So there's that extra incentive. With per diem, we let you do the same thing. People can pay through their app by loading up store credit. A lot of merchants will incentivize this, say a pay 45, get 50 deal. Essentially, you're selling a punch card to your customers. And then once I have that as opposed to a punch card, I already have those funds sitting in the app. So I tend to use it faster, I order more, and it's just a much better experience. Now you can get one of those square barcode scanners. When someone shows you their store credit page in the app, you can also just scan that in the same way. You'll be able to extract that number directly into the square point of sale and essentially cash them out at checkout. It makes the whole experience a lot better. And again, you can become your own bank, just like Starbucks. Another way to improve your in store experience is to let your customers place in store orders through your app. So think coffee does that here in New York City, and they've simply added a for here variation to square. When you're on a specific coffee drink in their app, you can tap that and then they'll make it in a for here cup instead of to go cup. And then me as a regular, which I'm going there, I can just go grab a table, put in my order. I don't have to wait in line. So that makes me feel kind of like a VIP in a way. And then also helps your baristas. It's one less person that they have to talk to that they have to like, you know, have that whole take their order and do all that. And they're already juggling a lot of things. So another quick hack there for you and your team to explore. Another way that your app can improve your in store experience is by enabling wifi and bathroom codes right there in the app. So me as a regular customer, I don't have to go to the barista and ask them for the code and this and that. That's always an inconvenience. Now I can just download your app. The codes are right there. I just hit it and then I can get on WI fi. And the same goes for the bathroom. It just kind of improves the experience. And I don't have to like chase people down in your store. And then I'm sure your baristas are tired of saying the code is 9874, you know, 12 times a day. So if you do have a code in your bathrooms or if you do have a WI FI code. And these questions come a lot, hey, a little signage up front. Download our app to get our WI FI code to get the bathroom code. And then, hey, it's a great little growth hack for you too. Another way to improve the in store experience is to offer order and pay at the table. So we've recently introduced this and essentially all you're doing is you're going to be using per diem to generate QR codes. And these are unique QR codes for each table. I come in, I scan the QR code, Your menu pops up on my phone and I can just order. The order goes straight in a square with the table number. So you guys know exactly where to bring it to. And then it can also increase tips for your staff. I'll be happier as a guest because I don't have to wait in your long lines. And it's just a win win. So something to consider, especially if you have the type of establishment, you're not really full service, you're kind of in the middle there, but you want to give kind of an elevated experience at your stores. Could be something to look into, make loyalty and subscriptions a part of the in store flow. So loyalty isn't just about punch cards anymore. Customers are more likely to spend more if they see real, real points in their app and they see those points go up every time they order. So you can enable that, you can obviously redeem, help them redeem those points in store at your point of sale. People can also redeem them through the app. And then if you do use our subscription feature and people are, you know, getting free cups of coffee or whatever, and they want to use that in store as well, then we do have a page in the app where they can show you essentially their subscription card. And then if you do have a QR code scanner, you can simply scan their profile. It'll pop up on square, and then you can give them their discount at checkout so you can use that in store as well. So both these things really help to kind of improve the in store experience. Especially if you're heavy loyalty or subscription users. They tend to be your regulars and your best customers. So something to keep in mind. To recap, these were five ways to make your in store experience faster, smoother and just a more connected experience for your guests. So number one, enabling store credit in your app and letting your customers not only order through the app with that store credit, but also in store by purchasing one of those barcode scanners through square. Number two, add a four here variation so that I can order in store and then I can simply pick it up and I don't have to wait in line when I am in store. Number three, add WI fi and bathroom codes to your app when it's relevant. It's a great growth hack and just really convenient if I'm a regular at your store and just need the WI fi code. Need to share it with somebody, whatever it is. Number four offer tableside ordering with QR codes. So again we enable this with per diem and then the beautiful thing is I just scan that QR code, the order goes through with my name and my table number to your kitchen and you can just bring it out right to my table. Again that kind of like mid level service. And the final thing is to just enable subscriptions and loyalty through your app so that I can see my points, I can see my subscription when I see that I'm more likely to use it, I'm more likely to come in and to engage with you guys. So if this was helpful, please subscribe. Thank you.
