In this Business Blast Podcast episode, host Tyler Wagner interviews Brianna Hartsock, founder of the fashion production company Make It Move It. Brianna shares a personal story about moving from Italy to New York with only a one‑way ticket, two suitcases, and determination, illustrating the power of bold risk‑taking. She offers industry‑specific advice that "done is better than perfection," and broader business wisdom that you should start today rather than wait for tomorrow. To her younger self she emphasizes that decisions are the most important choices one makes. She defines happiness as balancing work and life, especially when you love what you do. Brianna recommends the book Captivating by John and Stacy Eldredge, noting it taught her that femininity is beautiful. Her favorite quote highlights that fear of failure is self‑created and can be overcome. Finally, she directs listeners to her website (makeit‑moveit.com) and Instagram (@makeit.moveit). The conversation is conversational, enthusiastic, and focused on actionable insights for entrepreneurs.

Alright everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast Podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner, and today I have Brianna Hartsock with us. She is for Make It Move It, which is a fashion production company. So welcome to the show.
Thank you very much.
Of course, thanks for joining us, and we will dive into the first question. The first question I have for you is, what's the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Uh, the best story from my life, uh, was when I always had it in my heart to move to New York City. And so after I lived in Italy for about 4 years, I purchased a one-way ticket with no job and no apartment in New York, and I flew there with only 2 suitcases and a pocketful of determination. Uh, and 3 years later, I'm still here running my business.
That is awesome.
Yeah, thank you.
And, uh, what's the most valuable piece of information we should know that is within your expertise or industry?
The most valuable piece of information in the fashion industry is that done is better than perfection.
Mm. Okay. Actually, a lot of people would not think that. Actually, that's very good to know. And what is your best piece of overall business advice? So not necessarily industry specific.
The best piece of overall business advice would be tomorrow you would have wished you started today.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
To my younger self, I would say decisions are the most important thing you'll make in your life.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
The key to happiness is finding the balance between work and life. But the irony comes in when you actually love your work.
And what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
One of the best books I've read is called Captivating by John and Stacy Eldredge, and it taught me how femininity is okay, and it's actually a beautiful thing in this world.
And what's your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is, "We were all born with two instinctive fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. But the fear of failure is not one of them." And that's my favorite quote because So many people have this huge fear of starting their company or following their dreams, but it's actually something we've created in ourselves, knowing that it's possible to overcome it.
Thank you so much for coming on. The last question I have for you before we let you go is, where's the best place for people to find you online?
You can find my website at makeit-moveit.com, and my Instagram is @makeit.moveit.
Perfect. Thank you again for coming on. We appreciate it.
Yep, thank you, Tyler Wagner.
