In this Business Blast podcast episode, host Tyler Wagner introduces the show with sponsorship plugs for Anchor and Authors Unite before interviewing Kamalita Nuttall, a Caribbean‑born international speaker, CEO, and award‑winning business growth expert. Kamalita shares her origin story of growing up in poverty and the mindset that “it’s up to me” to succeed. She teaches entrepreneurs to monetize who they are, emphasizing the need to recognize intrinsic value and price at higher levels. Her core business mantra is “If it’s not making money, it’s not making sense, period.” She advises her younger self to “believe bigger and believe faster,” and defines happiness as a balanced life with God first, family second, and business third. The most impactful book for her is Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, specifically the lesson that thoughts create reality. She repeats her favorite quote— the profit‑driven mantra— as a guiding principle. Finally, she directs listeners to her website, kamalita.com, for all her social media and content. The episode blends motivational storytelling, practical entrepreneurship advice, and personal development insights.

Awesome. It's a pleasure to be here. Pleasure to be with you.
Awesome. It is a pleasure to have you on. Very excited about this one. The first one I have for you is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Uh, Tyler, that is, that is the biggest question. You know, yesterday I was on BBC and did an interview and they asked me more or less the same question, and I— oh, and this is exactly what I would say. It, it is, if it is to be, uh, it's up to me. Because I grew up very poor in the Caribbean, now living in England, didn't have clothes, didn't have shoes, didn't have anything. And I realized that it was up to me. It wasn't my parents, my, my teachers, my friends, my colleagues, television. It was up to me to become. And that, that for me has been the story of my life. If it is to be, it is up to me.
And then what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
I teach entrepreneurs how to truly monetize who they are. I see the biggest concern I see for most entrepreneurs is that they don't value themselves. They don't know the intrinsic value, and they stop at levels 1 or 2, perhaps at level 3, when they should be selling at level 5.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice, so not necessarily industry-specific?
If it's not making money, it's not making sense, period.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Believe bigger and believe faster.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
For me, I think the key to happiness is having a balanced life and having God first, family second, business third, having your life in check.
And then what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
Think and Grow Rich, Chapter 1, The Power of Thought. Mr. Barnes went to Mr. Edison. He announced himself. I have come to work with you. He had no money, no influence, no initiative. But he knew who he was and he thought about it. And what you think about, you bring about. That has been the most defining thing in my life.
Mm-hmm. And what is your favorite quote and why?
Again, if it's not making money, it's not making sense. Because I see so many people are in business and they're not making money and they stay there because they like the business, but they're miserable. So I think that that for me says it all. If it's not making money and your business is designed to make money, If it's not making money, it's not making sense. Period.
Change. I love that. Thank you so much for coming on. The last one I have for you before we let you go is where can our audience best find you online?
Everything you can find me on is on kamalita.com. I'm on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, everywhere. But go to my website, kamalita.com, really simple, and you'll find everything about me there.
