In this Business Blast podcast episode, host Tyler Wagner interviews international speaker and entrepreneur Camilita (Kamalita) Nuttall, founder of EventofChampions.com. Nuttall shares her personal journey from growing up in poverty in the Caribbean to becoming a successful CEO, emphasizing the mantra “if it is to be, it’s up to me.” She explains her core expertise: teaching entrepreneurs to recognize and monetize their intrinsic value, urging them to price themselves at higher levels (up to level 5). Her overarching business principle is that a venture must generate profit to make sense. She advises her younger self to “believe bigger and believe faster,” and defines happiness as a balanced life with God first, family second, and business third. Nuttall cites Think and Grow Rich—specifically the Power of Thought chapter—as a pivotal influence, highlighting the importance of self‑identity and thought. Her favorite quote reiterates the profit‑centric mantra. The episode concludes with a call to find her across social platforms via her central website, Kamalita.com.

It's a pleasure to be here. Pleasure to be with you.
Awesome. It is a pleasure to have you on. Very excited about this one. The first one I have for you is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
That is the biggest question. You know, yesterday I was on BBC and did an interview and they asked me More or less the same question. And this is exactly what I would say. It is— if it is to be, it's up to me. Because I grew up very poor in the Caribbean, now living in England, didn't have clothes, didn't have shoes, didn't have anything. And I realized that it was up to me. It wasn't my parents, my teachers, my friends, my colleagues, television. It was up to me to become. And that, for me, has been the story of my life. If it is to be, It is up to me.
And then what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
I teach entrepreneurs how to truly monetize who they are. I see the biggest concern I see for most entrepreneurs is that they don't value themselves. They don't know their intrinsic value, and they stop at levels 1 or 2, perhaps at level 3, when they should be selling at level 5.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice, and not necessarily industry-specific?
If it's not making money, it's not making sense, period.
And if you can give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Believe bigger and believe faster.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
For me, I think the key to happiness is having a balanced life. And having God first, family second, business third. Having your life in check.
And then what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
Think and Grow Rich, Chapter 1, The Power of Thought. Mr. Barnes went to Mr. Edison. He announced himself, I have come to work with you. He had no money, no influence, no initiative, but he knew who he was and he thought about it. And what you think about, you bring about. That has been the most defining thing in my life.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
Again, if it's not making money, it's not making sense. Because I see so many people are in business and they're not making money. And they stay there because they like the business, but they're miserable. So I think that that's— that for me says it all. If it's not making money, your business is designed to make money. If it's not making money, it's not making sense, period.
Change. I love that. Thank you so much for coming on. The last one I have for you before we let you go is where can our audience best find you online?
