Thanks for having me, Tyler. I'm glad to be here.
Of course, we're glad to have you on. We'll dive in. The first question I have for you, Danielle, is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Oh, wow. That's a big question. Yeah. I mean, I guess just like the first thing that comes to mind for me is that, you know, if there's something like, well, here's already, I guess, the message of it, but then I'll get into the story. If there's something that like, you know, that you want to do and it just like doesn't quite make sense yet, just stick with it and trust that it's going to be there. And like what I'm— what pops into my head on that specifically is like I do a lot of things and one of the things that I do is I teach spin or like indoor cycling classes. And many years ago when I was just a rider, I like knew that I wanted to be an instructor and I did a program and I got like— they didn't accept me. And then I, then I moved and like this opportunity came up for me to start. And start teaching. And then I went to this other studio, and now I'm actually back at the studio that I started at in San Diego in a different city. And it just did this whole full circle thing that I wasn't like trying to force or push or anything. I just knew I was like, hey, this is something I want to do. And I just kept like taking the little bites and steps as they started to show up as I was continuing to move forward doing other things. So yeah, that's just, that's what I would say for that one. Yes.
And what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
Um, I guess if to keep it short would just be that like, that you are not your thoughts, essentially. Um, and especially in business, as we know, like we're making big changes, we're stepping up, we're growing. And so there's always an upper limit or a ceiling or some fear or thought in your mind that's trying to tell you why you can't do that. And like, unless it's something that's like solid and like, you know, like, oh, this thing costs $100,000 and I have $100, it's usually not true. And it's just usually something that you need to just take a moment to move past and realize why that fear or that thing in your mind that's telling you you can't do it just isn't actually reality. And what is real is what you desire to do.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice?
I would say that my— it would be to just really get clear on what the end product of what you're, what you're offering. And so what I mean by that is, I mean, if you have an actual product, like the development of that, yeah, but whether it's a product or service, like what is the feeling the person's going to get? What is it? Where is it going to take them in their life? Like, what is really that at like, how is it going to help this person grow? Where is it going to take them? Is, is really valuable because then when you backtrack from there, that really helps you with messaging, marketing, how you talk to people, what you show up as on social media and all the things.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
It would be to— it would be to not let the fear make the decisions for me, essentially. And don't let the fear hold you back from what you really want to do. Just do it.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
Just following what makes you happy and not like the things, the people, the ideas and letting go of the thoughts and the fears and all the things that try to tell you that you shouldn't do that.
And what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
Oh man, I've read a lot of good books, but I think still my favorite book is The Alchemist, um, by Paulo Coelho. And I think that's just because it just All it talks about is following your heart and like trusting that and allowing that to guide you and just really being in touch with, in tune with yourself and your desires and what works well for you.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
Oh, well, the one that comes to mind is, it's actually a shortened version. Well, I don't know what exactly, but it basically says, "Security is a superstition. It doesn't exist in nature." and life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. And for me, that really just, it's like all we're, because we're humans and we like always think we want security and we're always chasing that and staying safe in that. But really it's like, that's made up. You really just, it's really all about creating your own security and knowing that you're doing what you wanna be doing.
Yes. Thank you so much for coming on, Danielle. The last question I have for you before we let you go is where's the best place for people to find you online?
