Now let's jump into the episode. All right everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Jamal Simpson with us. He is a graphic designer at Adams Outdoor Advertising. So welcome to the show. Thanks a lot. Of course, man. We'll dive in. The first question I have for you, Jamal, is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Okay, well, whenever I moved here from France to Fort Mill, South Carolina, it's kind of a culture shock. So I had a very difficult time adapting. And, you know, constantly being bullied in high school freshman year. So for the best message is for anyone out there that, you know, is scared or being bullied or anything like that, just stick to your guns, be yourself and power through.
And what's the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
The creative matters. It shouldn't be, you know, underlined or looked over or anything like that. It really can make a difference in business and drive sales up.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice, so not necessarily industry-specific? Um, make it all about the people. And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Just be yourself.
And maybe that ties in, but in your opinion, what's the key to happiness?
Exactly that. Yeah, just being yourself and just being honest with yourself. Don't cheat yourself.
And what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
It was a French book. I read it when I was a lot younger and it just taught me to be humble.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
Hmm. Creativity is intelligence having fun. And I think that's pretty self-explanatory why it'd be my favorite.
Yes. Well, dude, thank you so much for coming on. The last question I have for you before we let you go is where's the best place for people to find you online?
It's in my Dribbble account, Dribbble with 3 Bs, and it's just my name, Jamal Simpson. So check it out if you have a minute.
Perfect, man. Thanks again for joining us.
Yeah, have a good one, Tyler.
