Walter shares his core business philosophy—modeling successful people—and emphasizes efficiency through communication and technology, naming Zoom as his favorite tool. Walter defines happiness as a balanced, accountable approach across physical, mental, business, and spiritual dimensions, using a daily scoring system. He advises his younger self to practice patience in communication. The discussion highlights the book Good to Great, from which he learned to dominate a niche market by being the best in the world at a specific real‑estate sector. Walter also mentions his spiritual grounding in Christ and provides his website, nationalland.com, for listeners to connect.

All right everyone, welcome back to the Business Blast Podcast. We have Jason Walter here with National Land Realty, and are you ready to get started, Jason?
Yep.
Awesome. So the first question I have for you is, what's your best piece of business advice?
My best piece of business advice is modeling. Find people who are very successful what they do and learn how they did it.
And what's the number one thing you do to increase productivity?
Efficiency through communication, through technology.
Oh, perfect. This is perfect leeway. What's your favorite online business tool? It could be Zoom. I have a feeling.
Zoom.
Got it.
Yeah, Zoom would be my favorite.
And what's your number one tip for increasing your physical health?
My number one tip for increasing physical health, obviously, is just no secret. You know, that's— I think that's the funniest part about health is we try to complicate it. You eat less than you burn or consume less calories than you burn and you exercise. And I try to exercise at least 15 minutes every day.
And what's your number one tip for increasing your mental health?
Learning. Constantly learning, reading, audiobooks, whatever your preference is, but never stop learning.
And in your opinion, what's the key to happiness?
I'd say balance, obviously, but I'm careful how I say the word balance because, you know, some people think of balance and they lower their efforts in all areas so they all equal each other. And it's more about maximum balance where you're, you're pushing your faith and your physical activity. I have a daily score that I have to submit in the coaching group I'm in where we, we score our physical, our bonds, our business, our beliefs, and our, and our Oh, it's the fourth one. It's in our health, our physical, our body.
Yeah, that's really cool. I think accountability, I think is big with that.
Yeah.
So if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Patience, especially when it comes to communication. You know, it's, I think we all learn as we go, but I think You know, when you're, when you're super driven, sometimes you can, can burn those around you sometimes just because you're, you're, you're moving either too fast or you're not relaying, you're not communicating well. Sometimes you, you think people can read your mind because you're clear on what you want to accomplish, but you don't explain it as well. So I would say patience would be the thing that I'd talk to my younger self about.
And what's the best business book you've read and the number one thing you learned from it?
That would be Good to Great. It's the— it's sitting on my bookshelf kind of in its own little space. But the best thing I learned from that is actually why I own the business I do, and that is pick the best— something you can be the best in the world at and focus on that. Which is what we did in the land business. We picked a sector that isn't very competitive and there's not a lot of focus on it in general compared to other sectors of real estate. And we've been very successful in a short period of time.
And what's your favorite quote and why? Favorite quote would be Um, let's see, probably, uh, probably, um, and it can be like a mantra too if you don't know like the exact quote.
Yeah. Uh, you know, um, I forget the verse number, but you know, all things can be accomplished through Christ or, or You know, the, you know, there's several Bible verses that come to mind. I'm just having trouble linking back to actual scripture. So, but, you know, basically I'm very spiritual. So, you know, I believe that through Christ I can accomplish about anything.
And perfect. That was the last question. And real quick, we got 10 seconds. What's the best way for people to find you online, like your website?
Nationalland.com. Perfect.
Thanks for coming on, man.
Thank you.
