All right everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Joyce Blue with us. She is an empowerment coach and relationship with money expert. So welcome to the show, Joyce.
Thank you, it's great to be here.
Of course, thanks for joining us. We'll dive in. The first question I have for you, Joyce, is what is the best story that from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
So, I love this question, and I have— 3 years ago, my husband had a massive heart attack, and it was the type of heart attack that only 5% of the people survive, and 1% of those 5% survive with any type of quality of life. So, it was a really scary time, but not only did he survive, but he made a complete complete recovery. So the message from that is that not only that life is short, so make sure to let those know around you that you know, that you love, that you love them and how much they mean to you, but also that miracles still do happen in today's day and age.
And what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that is within your expertise or industry?
Mindset is 80% of your success in everything that you do, no matter what it is in your life. And so our perspective and our outlook on things is extremely important. Tactics only, or strategies only, make up 20% of our, um, success.
And what's your best piece of overall business advice, so not necessarily industry specific?
Great. It would be to imperfect action is better than inaction or even better than perfect action. So when we take imperfect action, then we can start to implement and adjust as we go down the path to whatever it is that we're trying to succeed at.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
I love this question. And being able to look back on my life, I would tell myself that the stress and the anxiety is not worth it. To just relax and everything, no matter what it is that you're being challenged with, will work out.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
The key to happiness is lots of different perspectives on this, but really, I believe that the key to happiness is learning that happiness comes from within. And once we stop chasing the external things that we think that will make us happy and really become happy with ourselves, that you will find happiness within all areas of your life.
And what is the best book that you've read? I know it's a tough question. And what is the number one thing you learned from that?
The best book that I've read, I think even still to this day, is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. And the thing that I learned about that was really just how to deal with people and be genuine. And it was just a fabulous book, lots, tons of insights just about lots of things in general.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is by Louise Hay, and it's, I don't fix my problems, I fix my thinking, and the problems fix themselves. Themselves. And I love that quote because it just points so much to how important our mindset with things are and how the answers to our problems lie within us and not in external things.
Yes, and I love that quote as well. So pumped that you said that. And, um, the last thing before we let you go, Joyce, uh, is where's the best place for people to find you online?
Great. Well, I actually have a free gift for everyone and they can find that at moremoneymethod.com and it's 23 reframes on limiting beliefs about money. And to connect with me personally or with my business, they can reach me either at Facebook or Instagram at empowering U-L-E-C.
Perfect. Thank you again for coming on, Joyce. We really appreciate it.
You're welcome. Thank you so much for having me. It was a lot of fun.
