In this Business Blast Podcast episode, host Tyler Wagner interviews inner‑game transformational coach Kim Beard. Kim shares a powerful personal story of being born with cataracts and blindness in one eye, undergoing surgery that restored partial sight, and later using her own inner‑game techniques to regain vision in the previously blind eye—demonstrating that perceived impossibilities can be overcome. She explains her core expertise: the "inner game," encompassing mindset, beliefs, habits, energy, purpose, and how mastering this inner world drives external results in business and life. Kim offers practical business advice, emphasizing the importance of inner‑game work to remove mental blocks, taking action even when not feeling ready, and mastering sales and marketing. She reflects on advice she would give her younger self—recognizing her own capability and releasing concern over others' judgments. Regarding happiness, she links it to deep inner‑game work, healing past wounds, present‑moment awareness, and gratitude. Kim cites The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker as a pivotal book that highlighted the role of mindset in wealth, and shares her favorite quote, "Clarity leads to power" (attributed to Michael Gerber), underscoring clarity as the foundation for results. The episode concludes with a call to visit her website, amazingbusiness.com, for programs, events, and coaching services.

Alright everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Kim Beard with us. She's an inner game transformational coach. So welcome to the show, Kim.
Thank you, Tyler. Welcome.
Of course. Thanks for joining us. We'll dive in. The first question I have for you, Kim, is what's the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Awesome, great question. I have so many of them, but I think I picked one that I think is going to have the most impact for your listeners. So it is that I was actually born with a disability, and I was born with cataracts, and I couldn't, couldn't see a lot as a kid, and I was actually born blind in my left eye. And so growing up, you know, there was many struggles and challenges with that, and when I was 11, I had this it was brand new technology back then, but I had surgery on my right eye to remove the cataract and was able to see so much better in that eye. But in that process as well, the doctors weren't able to operate on my left eye and they basically told me that I would never be able to see out of that eye again. It was completely impossible. Even if I had surgery, I wouldn't be able to see through it. And so I took that on board, that advice obviously from the experts, and went on with my life. Now, you know, fast track another 23 years or so when I was in my mid-30s, and I just started getting this really big intuitive feeling that I should try and heal my left eye that was completely blind from birth. And seemed crazy, seemed impossible. Obviously I had all these people tell me that it was impossible, but I'm like, oh, come on. Like, I'm this inner game transformer. Let's see what I can create, right? And so I started to use the inner game tools that I teach my clients and use in my own life that have created so many other amazing results in my life. And within a couple of weeks, I actually started getting some some sight in that eye, which is pretty, you know, mind-blowing and phenomenal and quite hard to believe. Yeah. Come a few months later and I was actually able to read large letters, you know, like large signs and stuff like that with that eye. So it happened pretty fast. It's not perfect still, and it hasn't been a priority to get it perfect in my life. You know, other things come up and get in the way, but The valuable message in it is that, you know, we get told these stories that things are impossible in our lives, and often they're not, you know, and we're so much more capable as human beings than we think we are, and we can create amazing results in our lives that we wouldn't even, you know, that aren't even comprehensible in our mind. Yes. Wow.
That is a transformational story. Thank you for sharing that. That was incredible. It really is. The next question I have for you, Kim, is what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
Yeah, so, you know, as you mentioned, I'm an inner game transformational coach and speaker and trainer and author. My industry is in, you know, business and life development. So I help business owners and I also help people have like a more amazing life. And I think the most valuable piece of information would be just how powerful working on your inner game is. So that's things like your mindset, your beliefs, your habits, your thoughts, but it's also things like your energy and, you know, like your purpose and things like that. So it encompasses a lot more than mindset, but it's like working on your inner world essentially and how that affects your outer world. And just how crucial that is to create the results that you want in your life. You know, as example, by that, that example that I gave you before, that was pretty much all within a game work to create that result. So just how powerful that is for not only stopping you from creating results in your life, but actually creating results as well.
Yes. And what is your best piece of overall business advice?
So not necessarily industry specific, it might tie in, Yes, well, you know, I've been a business coach for over 10 years now and just seen so— had so many clients that have struggled so much in business. And, you know, from that, it's like, obviously there's the inner game work. I totally highly recommend that because I see that as such a big blocker to people in business, and especially in business around sales and marketing and money. People have so many blocks in that. But beyond the inner game stuff, I would also say that my best advice would be to take action even when you don't feel ready because often you won't and you are more capable than you think you are and so you can do so much more than you believe you can do. And also to learn about sales and marketing because that's where a lot of business owners really struggle and it trips them up and it really stops them from getting the success that they deserve in their business.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Oh, that's always an interesting one, isn't it? There's so many lessons that you learn along the way, but I think I would tell myself that I'm so much more capable than I think I am. You know, I think we play ourselves down a lot as humans and make ourselves quite small. Well, certainly I have, and I know a lot of people who do as well. And also to not worry about what other people think. That's been one of my biggest blockers in my business and moving forward and creating things that I want is worrying too much about what people are going to think and what they're going to say and the judgment. So just let that go and move forward.
And in your opinion, what's the key to happiness?
The key to happiness? Oh, I think working on your inner game is a big part of happiness and that includes healing some stuff in the past. So with the inner game work I do, it's very important to kind of dig down into the depths. It's not just all about affirmations and visualizations and the happy positive stuff, but it's actually about healing kind of the dark shadow stuff in you that needs healing. And I think that really contributes a lot to happy— to your happiness, but also having times when you're in the moment and being really present. There's so much beauty and bliss in that time. And also practicing gratitude, I just see that as such a big part of being happy and just appreciating the things that you do have, because there's always things that, you know, we want more and we don't have, and we feel a little bit done by the universe that we haven't got it. So appreciating the things that you do have really helps in your happiness tank.
And what is the best book that you've read and what's the number one thing you learned from that?
Yeah, great question. The best book I've read, and I've read it multiple times, would be The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. And it really, it was one of the first business and personal development books I read, and it really just showed me how important your mindset and your inner game is in terms of money and success and wealth and the results that you can get in life and just how much that can block you and stop you from creating what you want.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is clarity leads to power. I believe it's by Michael Gerber. Because clarity is just the foundation of creating the results that you want in your life. Like, you can't create things without really knowing where you're going. You know, you need to know the destination before you can get there on the map, right? And so I love that because whenever I get more clarity in my life, I just find the results come so much easier, so much quicker, and with so much more power.
Yes, thank you so much for coming on. This interview was actually like just incredible. I have one last question for you before we let you go, and that is where is the best place for people to find you online?
