Alright everyone, welcome back to the Business Blast Podcast. Today I have Kimberly Guerrero with us. She's from Charlotte, North Carolina, and she runs a virtual assistant business. And the first question I have for you, Kimberly, is what's the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Well, I am a survivor and a go-getter in my own right. I was a victim of domestic violence and bullying in my younger life, and I I will say that through those experiences, I value the strength and courage that I've taken from those difficult situations. It actually taught me to love myself for who I am later on in life, actually. And regardless of what anyone thinks of me and so forth, or what anybody thinks of you, they are not the center of your life. There's so many more valuable things that are the center. I'm happy with who I am and who I was created to be.
And what's the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
I love helping others free up their time with taking on the administrative tasks and responsibilities that they may not have time for. And last but not least, I can help anyone around the world without, without having to come to them.
And what's your best piece of overall business advice?
Um, I would say never give up, especially if it's a dream and passion of yours. Um, if you have a business that's focused on just making money, I personally feel that it won't work. But if, uh, you feel that your business is failing, look into some other resources that will allow you to stay afloat. But of course, do not give up, um, especially if you're enjoying what you're doing.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Even though you had to, you know, suffer and you succumb through a lot of physical and emotional turmoil, it's all right because you'll see later on in life that this made you a part of who you are today.
And in your opinion, what's the key to happiness?
I think loving yourself, you know, for who you are inside and out, despite of what you feel you don't have and haven't achieved yet, because you're definitely going to accomplish that.
And what's the best book you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from it?
The best book I've read is called The Dream Giver. It's by Bruce Wilkinson. And the number one thing that I learned from this book is that if you have a dream or any kind of business you want to start working toward, do it now. Don't wait until later. And then, you know, in life later, you feel like it's too late because you'll regret that.
And what's your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote comes from the Bible. It states, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." So basically, it's just, you know, self-explanatory. Whatever you think about all day long, you'll become. And I stand firm on this quote in scripture.
I agree 100% with that quote. And last question I have for you is just where can people best find you online?
Sure. So, um, anyone can find me on LinkedIn just by putting in Kimberly Guerrero, owner of Direct Virtual Needs. So if anyone wants to know more information about me and what I do, um, it's there along with my contact information.
Perfect. Thanks for coming on, Kimberly. I really appreciate it.
