Today I have Leimomi Kali'i Kuhli, founder of Being Alohi Academy and the Leimomi TV show. So welcome to the show.
Thank you for having me, I'm so excited to share.
Of course, thank you for joining us, we're happy to have you and we'll dive in. The first question I have for you is what's the best story from your in your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Well, before I started my business, I was a psychic spiritual monk. So I joined a spiritual group, um, since the age of 21 years old. And so for 10 years, I devoted my life of service. And what the biggest lesson I learned from that experience was just that how important it is to have the healing families. And because I had to leave the group because they didn't really truly believe in that, I believe that when you really get clear on what you really believe in, like your clear message in the world, which for me was healing family, I couldn't have been able to do this new work, which is having my academy, my Maymoma TV show, and all the other parts of my own modality to come through me if I didn't experience that very difficult decision of creating a life of my own, which was about healing family and about my own valuable work that I want to bring out into the world.
And what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
Um, the biggest piece I think is that people don't know that they can actually heal or clear some level blocks to success. Part of what I do is I actually can go into a person's Akashic Records and clear out any kind of noise that are— whether it's in their life or their business that makes it very difficult for them to focus in their relationships, inside of their actual business or modalities or programs. You can actually remove some of those blocks in order to scale your business much more faster.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice, so not necessarily industry-specific?
Just to actually try things out until you actually find the right thing that really works for you. I think when I first started my business, I just started with coaching, but then later on I found out that I love teaching and giving trainings or consulting advice. And so don't be afraid to try something out first, but also don't be afraid to move into a different type of way of expressing your own message in the world, just because you feel like you know, at the moment doesn't feel right, you actually might find the thing that really lights you up. So now I love doing trainings and expressing myself in that way.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
To travel. I love traveling, but I think I didn't allow myself to travel fully when I was a psychic spiritual monk. Like, I didn't really enjoy it as much. And now I would say like, actually enjoy traveling and meeting new people and to be open to doing more of that.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
Simplicity. When I was part of that group, I always felt like we had to do so much or, you know, like create or invent things or whatever. But actually, the most simplest things are the things that actually make you most successful and also where you find the most happiness.
And what is the best book that you've read and what's the number one thing you learned from that?
I actually read this book that was about spiritually releasing some of your mindsets. And so it's called Spiritual Warfare, and there's actually— it's a trilogy, and it talked about how all the mindsets that you have in your mind is actually what you're experiencing in your physical life. So it was just a book about releasing all of these thoughts or emotions that are really not yours, and that you are actually capable of removing them once you actually step into it. And it's by Jed McKenna.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
If there is a will, there's a way. This one was always the biggest quote that I use throughout my life. And there was always points in my life where I felt like I wanted to give up. But by saying this quote again, over and over again, it got me through a lot of hard times when I was anorexic or when I had deeper issues or emotional issues that were up there that I couldn't move forward. I always tell myself, like, if there's certainly a will, you can always find a different way to get through it.
Yes, thank you so much for coming on. The last question I have for you before we let you go is where is the best place for people to find you online?
You can go to my website which is www.leimomikilikuli.com which is just my name dot com. I also do have my Facebook group which is Soul Alignment Leaders for Conscious Living. I actually have a free quiz that you can look at on my website there. It's Discover Your Soul Biz Archetype Quiz which will basically tell you more about what your superpower is and how you can utilize that in your life and your business.
Awesome. I will definitely be taking that quiz. And thank you again for coming on. We appreciate it.
