Tyler Wagner shares a quote from a Breaking Bad actor: "Love art in yourself and not yourself in art." The idea is to prioritize the craft and process over chasing fame or money. True fulfillment comes from falling in love with the work itself.

Love art in yourself and not yourself in art. So this is a quote that I heard today in an audiobook that I was listening to, and I'm not going to try to pronounce the guy's name whose quote it is because I'll butcher it. I got more respect for him than that. But The quote, I was actually at the gym when I was listening to it and actually had to like pause the audiobook because I was just, I really thought about it and I was like, this is so interesting. It's such an interesting perspective and quote. And it's really almost like the, it's almost like the meaning of life in a sense, right? And, you know, my interpretation of it is basically like like basically you need to enjoy the process and fall in love with the process of whatever you're doing and not fall in love with the outcomes and the riches. And actually, so let me give a little context. In this audiobook, it's, uh, it's about the life of a famous actor and I'm blanking on his name right now, but he was the main character in Breaking Bad. Uh, the book's called A Life in Parts. And, uh, what, what he was saying is it was like his father wanted to be a successful actor so bad, but apparently he wanted it for the wrong reasons. Like, he wanted it for like the riches, and he wanted it because he, he wanted to be like viewed, right, for, for outside purposes, I believe. Like, he wanted people to view him as the best actor. Instead of falling in love with the craft, he fell in love with the outcome that it would bring him, you know. So I think whatever you're doing in life, work, you know, whatever it is, um, you should fall in love with, with the craft, with the art, and the outcome, if it's meant to be, it will come along. But don't fall in love with the outcome. And yeah, that's all I have to say for this video. Talk soon.
