All right everyone, welcome back to another episode. We got Mandy Ross with us. It's been, it's been about a year. We were just talking before I hit record. It's been about a year since you've been on, right?
Yeah, it's been a little while, but it kind of feels like just yesterday.
Yes. So, well, we talk more than you're on the show. So, I think last time, well, texting obviously has been sooner, but we had a phone conversation a few months ago that was pretty awesome. But let's first like give everybody an update. So, what's new in your life right now? Because it's been a year since they've heard from you.
Yeah. Thanks so much, Tyler Wagner Wagner. I love every time we connect, it's so aligned and it's Awesome, because I know you and I both in our own ways, on our own journeys are evolving and we can come onto these podcasts and then update people, but also deliver more from what we've learned along our own paths since. So yeah, lots of fun, exciting updates. I mean, I still am, I mean, for those listeners who are familiar with our old podcast, it's a little bit of the same, but I'll just reintroduce myself to anyone new who's out there tuning in today to this amazing podcast. So my name is Mandy Ross, Mandy J. Ross on social media. And I also have a brand that I go by, which is Pave Your Paradise, which is all about creating your own dream life, per se. And right now, just to bring things up to full speed, I'm really, really focused on my YouTube channel, just building an amazing online high vibes community and creating content that helps other others, you know, pave their path to paradise, whatever that feels and looks like for them. I still am very actively doing influencing and content creation. I like to say conscious content creating across social media platforms. And let's see, I have reopened my— I'd say in a way I've kind of expanded my coaching to do manifestation and mindset coaching now. And I have my— I still have my Pave Your Paradise podcast myself. I put that on the back burner for doing like new episodes for now, just because I'm so focused on the video content for YouTube and my other social media channels. Let's see, I have my website that has an inspiring blog on it as well. And just trying to be a nice human. Yes. Just trying to be an inspiring, positive soul in this world.
Yeah, no, for sure. And I think, you know, one of the things we wanted to talk about is manifesting, and I think it's something you and I are both really good at. And you obviously with your YouTube have 100% done that, right? Like, I guess, let's just say it was a year ago, you made a decision, right, that you wanted to do YouTube and you were going to go all in on it, and it's worked extremely well. So just I guess to start, I'm looking actually, one of your videos is literally called How I Manifest Anything with Scripting. So what is that? What's that about?
Oh, that's so interesting. That's one that you like, I totally manifested you pointing that one out. So yeah, right, writing. Okay, so I literally right now as I'm sitting at my work desk, it literally is like I can see journals all around me. So journaling has been one of the biggest game changers for me in terms of manifesting. And I want to I want to clarify for anyone listening, it's not, it's not. And like, I'm literally, my whole body is vibrating. So this is such a, like an aligned topic for us to be touching on right now. I can feel it in my body. The same goes for resistance. I will say this when it comes to manifesting, when you feel that you're in resistance, your body, you will feel it so strongly and you know you're not on the destined path for you, as I like to say. But anyways, when it comes to journaling and scripting, scripting has been one of, as I said, one of the tools for me to be able to, I think, in a sense, articulate what it is that I want the most. Like, it's a way for me to— I've always— I think I shared this concept with you in a past podcast, but it was like something— I think I said something along the lines of it was like a process of something that stems from your mind down into your hand, hand to the paper and out, you know, like it's kind of like a release of getting it down, articulating your thoughts, like getting really clear on what you want. And the thing is, it's not— for me, I've always found writing very therapeutic as a writer myself. But I think what's interesting when you're journaling is it's, I think for myself, but I think for a lot of people out there, it's a time when you, when you can be unfiltered. It's like you have this, this ability to actually release any resistance, like not allow yourself to be blocked by any, like, limiting beliefs. It's a time when I allow my mind to just run wild and I get to script whatever is, is on my heart, soul, mind, you know. And so when I'm scripting, I have my own practice, but I especially find it very beneficial to script at night. Because one is that you're, you're typically right before bed. There's a, there's a fellow by the name of Neville Goddard who's a mystic who I, who I really respect, and I read a lot of his, his writing. And he's someone that I just find of all sort of the, we'll say, spiritual slash manifesting people out there, he's one that I just really, really resonate with his beliefs. And one of the things he talks about in his concepts is this state akin to sleep, and short form is SATS, like S-A-T-S. Basically, it's the, it's the time between your conscious mind, which is usually active during the day, and your subconscious, which is active during your sleep. There's this in-between you can tap into to powerfully penetrate your subconscious. It's like that, that period, and doesn't just have to be before bed. It's just typically that's when most people experience that in-between stage is right right before they nod off. So you can, you can definitely induce that feeling during the day. If, say, you do maybe a meditation or some deep breathing, you can get yourself into that like almost asleep state, but you're still, you're still aware of your thoughts, basically. So I find scripting during that in-between stage at night really powerful because it's like my time where I can sit, I can write, you know, affirmations around things that I want. I can write scenes. Scenes are a really big one for me, like, or I can even write in a way as though what maybe what didn't happen or what I wanted to happen in a certain way, I can actually script it as though it did. Or I can revise situations and throughout my day, it's like, it's such a— I like to call it like, I like to think, I guess I like to think of it as a really playful time for me to literally like play around with whatever I'm deeply desiring and write it out. And I have like different journals designated for different things, but there's one journal in particular I always do, and I'm going to take you through my process now. So I usually start with— I start by doing like gratitude because I always want to thank God, uh, the higher power, for delivering me things during my day that I've manifested. And the way that this correlates to the beginning of my day, it's almost like a— I like to obviously schedule myself throughout my day in a way that's kind of like, you know, I have things that I do in my master morning routine, which you and I have spoken about before. And there's even a writing component there where, like, I write down things I want to manifest. I write down a lot of affirmations that I want to have happen and/or just like who I am, like a lot of I am statements that make me feel powerful. That make me feel just in my highest and best state and really tap myself into a winning mindset for the day. And then I like to kind of close off my day in a similar but kind of different way where I actually give thanks for the things that I've manifested during my day. And then I do my actual scripting. And that's like the— in terms of like that kind of stuff, that's probably the last thing I do before I go to sleep. And then before bed, I kind of reiterate some of the most, like, kind of the most powerful affirmations, just a few, because again, what you do right before you fall asleep is it's like you're the most— you're the most subconsciously open to then have those things while you're drifting off into sleep actually be able to penetrate your subconscious the most. And as I'm sure I know you're very well studied in manifesting. But basically, when your subconscious, when you, when it solidifies things into fact, it gets pushed out. And that's when you see your, your manifestations show up in your reality.
Got it. So this is what's interesting. And because I'd love to dive deeper into manifestation and like, and, well, because, right, because this is the thing is I, I feel that I might be like, if this makes sense, like naturally well-versed, but I truly don't exactly know how to teach it to others.
Yeah.
Because I, it's interesting, like, just briefly on like affirmations is what I did when I first, so like I dropped out of school, started doing affirmations, and it completely changed my life. Like you literally, if it doesn't even take that long, in my opinion, at least for me, it didn't, is I did them for like a few weeks. And then literally, I had convinced myself that I was already these things, right? Because that's kind of what like an affirmation is in a sense.
Yeah.
So, and then I just became them, became them. And then, then it's kind of like once you hit momentum, once you hit a stride, you just keep like multiplying on top of it. So, in all honesty, besides affirmations, I don't know what it It— because I don't even anymore, like, I don't do— I still do them sometimes, but I'm not as, like, I guess you'd say, um, just like, uh, I don't do it every day, right? Like, I'm not hard on myself about it. So just let's just say if somebody was, like, um, like, not good at manifesting, or they just, you know, like, it's like, um, like, how would you help them through it? Because at this point in my life, and, and I mean this in no way of like, oh, life's easy for me, but it's just like anything that I want, I kind of just I'm like, oh, okay, I know that this is something I want to have or want to give or want to do. Here's the logical steps to get to that point. I'm just going to get there. And I know for certain if I do these things, I will get this result.
Totally.
And then I just do it. So it's like, yeah, I don't know, does that— are you able to like from—
Yeah, I totally feel you and hear you. So I told you, I love this. So what— this is the thing, Tyler, when once— so, and that's— yeah, I love this question because this is something often that comes up in sort of my initial meetings with different clients when they first come to me. It's like they're trying to understand, you know, the techniques. But here's the thing. You're already at a level where you might not need to affirm to yourself 100 times or, you know, all day long. And in fact, I never instruct people necessarily do that all day long. What you are describing right now is that you've actually already rewired your brain as a winning mindset. You already have the inner belief. Your self-concept is so high in belief in yourself that everything is coming naturally and everything is coming so easily and effortlessly to you because your inner beliefs about yourself and what you are able to do is so strong now that it's already solidified into fact. And when you have a high self-concept and I don't just like confidence is part of it, but it's like there's a, there's two things mainly you need to be able to with. And even when you're affirming, especially in the beginning when you don't see something in your 3. So there's a couple of concepts that might be new to people listening. That's why, like, there's so much we can dive into with this because there are, there's a lot of pieces to this manifestation puzzle, which is hence why I work with people one-on-one to kind of help them understand all of this. There's a lot. It's not difficult to understand, but there's a lot of different things that kind of make up how to become a master at manifesting. So I'll try to, I'll try to go over as many as I can for people to get, you know, manifesting like a master today after this podcast. Basically, there's a few main things that I want to touch on. One is self-concept. I'm always going to go back to self-concept. And you're describing basically you yourself have a high concept. That's why things come so easily to you, because your innermost beliefs about yourself are now shifted so that you just believe, A, that you— that anything's possible for you. That's a huge one, you know, like even— and this is the thing, it's less about saying the I am in, you know, after a while and more just believing that about yourself, which is what you do naturally now. It might not have been natural in the beginning, No, it wasn't. It's like you don't have to keep reminding yourself because it's already done. It's already a fact in your mind now. Does that make sense?
It does. So this is actually kind of an awakening for me because it's like, I believe, you know, I had very good parents and I was raised in a way to really believe I could do anything. And then once I got to be like, I guess it was like 19, 20 when I actually started to like, you know, think about career and like take the professional side of my life like seriously. I had the belief in myself that I could do anything, but I didn't have like the how, right? I was like, I didn't know how.
I have a rhyme for you. You're gonna love this one. Okay, listen to this. Okay, so when it comes to manifesting, and this is where like, again, this might— now that you're kind of on— I don't want to say the other side, but basically what— now that you're in a position, we'll say, where you're abundantly manifesting in your life because you've tapped into that inner self-belief, There's a rhyme that I love to share with people to make it really kind of simple. When it comes to manifesting, you only need to take— or you only need to be concerned with the what and the now. And I'll explain those, but the what and the now— God, or whatever you want to call that, I refer to it as God personally, that's my personal belief, but God, higher power, universe— they will all take care of the when and the how. So you take care of the what and the now. God or the higher power takes care of the when and the how. So I actually just did— actually, no, I'm about to come out with a YouTube on this whole process around like, how does God fit into manifesting? How do you tap into your own Christ consciousness state? And also like, where do your desires even come from? And I, I don't want to give away too much because I want people to actually tune in. That's a— that'll be sort of a longer but like very, uh, very specific episode on all of this, but in kind of a nutshell of this little rhyme, it's a really nice one because I think it demonstrates to its finest essence like how the laws of manifesting work. So the main thing that people need to understand with manifesting is you are always the operant power. However, and this is what— this is just what I like to believe, is that you do have a divine destiny like set out for you by creator, by God, by, you know, a higher power. And I even wrote a quote personally about this because you know that I'm a writer and I love writing quotes especially. So when everything— and this is, you even mentioned this in your own, in your own journey. It's like when everything flows in synergy, you know you're on the right path. Meaning that when, when you do things that feel like just you, you feel your best, you feel so good being in your body and things just flow naturally. That's when you know you're on your sort of divine destined path. When you experience resistance, and I'm not talking about the resistance that comes up when you have limiting beliefs or blocks that you're not— you haven't healed yet. That's a different kind of resistance, basically. But you'll feel resistance towards things that are not meant for you. And those can be people, those can be situations, those can be so many things that come up for us. But you'll know, I feel like we all do have that, that inner compass, that inner guidance, that intuition that is given to us, that is to help us, like to help navigate us through our pathway of life. To know like what's something truly— when something is truly aligned for us and when it's not. And so when it comes to this rhyme that I like to share with people, so all you need to be able to do to manifest is one, as long as you can think, you can manifest. And as long as you— and this is where coming back to the affirmations sometimes can actually trip people out. I actually did a YouTube on the fact that sometimes affirmations are not— they don't work. Okay, I don't want to say they don't work for everybody, but they're not the best method for everybody, even though maybe you felt that the affirmations helped to change your beliefs about yourself, ultimately you were the one who had to change a belief, right? It wasn't just because you were saying, I am. Here's where affirmations do come in handy. You don't have to believe what you're saying to be true. For example, affirmations are a way to continue to solidify that fact into your subconscious. However, you don't necessarily— and like most people, just as humans, and I'm not saying this because it's an intention, but this is just fact— most of us don't actually believe something until we see it for real. Like, we don't really believe it. All you need to worry about or be concerned about when you're coming up with affirmations is you need to be able to believe it's possible. And that's where you said, I believe that anything was possible. See, that in itself is an intention. That is an affirmation. Because if you can at least believe your affirmation is, is it possible? Or a possibility, sorry, as a possibility for yourself, that's all that matters. You don't have to believe it because you probably won't believe it until you see it. It's very rare for someone to like 100% believe that something's true unless they actually see it for themselves. So as long as you can believe that it's possible to happen for you, that's where the magic kind of happens. So all you need to do, going back to this, this rhyme so people can understand, The what is what you desire. So that's all you have to figure out. What is it that you want? And now here's where the other part of this comes in that you're responsible for the now. So I said you have to worry about the what and the now. The now meaning this moment is all we ever have to work with. It's not about the past and it's not about the future. The one caveat, if there is unhealed, finished, unhealed, unfinished business from your past, i.e., trauma that is continuously sabotaging, like self-sabotaging you, coming up, there's a pattern of some sort of like negative something coming up for you in your life over and over. You do need to go back and deal with that. And I'm the first to say only focus on what you want because where your mind goes, energy flows. But if you have unfinished business that needs healing, then you do need to focus on that and heal that. Prior. You can simultaneously be affirming for what you want, but, but you can't— you're going to see the same pattern show up in your life over and over again unless you're willing to go back and revise that old story you keep telling yourself. If you're still that person who feels lack, negativity, number one, if you feel like a victim of any sort, you are going to block your own manifestations 100%. I've seen it time and time again. If you're living from a victim state of being, you will block goodness from your life. You will block it.
Totally. No, that makes sense. And I think what's interesting is, it could be a combination and, you know, it's just easier for me to relate back to myself, right? From what you're saying. So, I feel, looking back, it's kind of a combination where in the beginning, because I had not achieved any success yet, right? Because I was just literally starting, I— the how was where my— I don't want— I don't know what the right word is— was my uncertainty, right?
Yeah.
And now, you know, 10 years later, almost 30 now, 29, I have proven to myself over time that I can like always figure like the how will figure out, like you said, going along with what you said. Like, so now there's like this stillness or calmness within me when I—
you just need to take care of you right now. Like, you're exactly right. Right now needs to be serving. It's basically— and this is what you did, basically. You trained your brain to only have thoughts or dominant— the dominant thoughts create. That's why it's okay if you have a thought here and there that don't serve you. We're human, right? Sometimes your mind will go down, and I like to call it the inner Karen. I'm just like, Karen, shut the fuck up.
I love that, the inner Karen.
Exist. We're not even allowed here anymore. Like, just go away. Like, I literally— I know it sounds funny, but it's— I swear, it's like you make— like, you have to have fun with manifesting too, right? So like, honestly, every time I have like a little— that little voice creep up, I'm like, Karen, F off. You don't even belong here. You are no longer welcome. Goodbye. Like, next. You know what I mean? Like, I have fun with my inner dialogue. Like, we're human, right? Like, we all have those little those little, like, that voice will, like, I'm not intending for people to have this. Hopefully you never have this, but you know, I'd say most of us can relate to having that little voice once in a while creep up that is like a limiting belief or an old story or whatever, or you feel, you feel triggered in some way and you just have to, like, you have to become a vigilante with your thoughts. You have to be the filter because your subconscious only hears the thoughts that you have. It doesn't cipher out the bad to the good. It doesn't know negative or positive. So you have to be the one on top of your thoughts. You have to be the one that goes, look, I'm the operant power. I know that— I know you're very obviously like one of the most well-read people, you know, like, you know, if you think about even The Alchemist, it's like the universe, if you, if you desire something, the whole universe will conspire to help you to make that happen, right? So you can call it universe, God, higher power. I like to refer to it as God, but it's like when you want something, it's always working. Like, I always, I always intend and affirm to myself, like, God and the universe is always working in my favor. Everything's rigged in my favor. It's only up to me to make sure my thoughts are a positive mental diet. Like, am I feeding my mind positive thoughts that are aligned with and serving the end result that I want? To stay focused on that end and not let myself go back to an old story veer off into negativity land. It's like, that's why the how always takes care of itself. I like to look at it and you'll, you'll love this too, because I know you work with Amazon a lot, but I like to equate manifesting to, it's like, this is where the full faith comes in on just like let go and let God, or, you know, let go and let, you know, higher power work its magic for the how and the when. So when you put in a, when you put in an order to Amazon, you usually put it in and you don't think twice about how it's going to get to you. You just want your thing, right? You don't even care. Like, I mean, personally, I don't care if it comes in a van, a truck, a plane, a train, a courier. Like, I don't care the how. I just want my thing. I don't worry about that step because I know Amazon's taking care of it for me. It's kind of the same mindset around, you know, God delivering this thing for me. As long as I am on the positive right path within, it will show up without. It's just the way the universal laws work. Work. So it's kind of like, that's where you have to have the full faith and not mess with the middle. I have become so good now. I'd say one of my biggest shifts for me, especially, I know that I feel like you are very similar, or at least maybe you're, you used to be as well. I used to be so adamant about taking so much action in my life because I didn't feel like, I think that's an old story of insecurity where I felt like I had to be doing so much in order to get ahead. Now I'm so much more relaxed and chill and I kind of plant these seeds of what I want and then I let things— I do what I need to. I'd say like I do what I feel is kind of the— like, I don't want to say the least amount of effort, but kind of like I do things from a pure space of like, I really genuinely want to do these things. I'm not doing them from a space of worried about getting something or worried that it's not coming. So I have to do more to get more. Does that make sense?
100%. Yeah, that we literally were so similar because that was a big shift for me. And this has actually come from coaches and just different people that I've interacted with in my life. Is this weird thing that when you, it's almost, it actually is kind of effortless. And it's a hard thing to say. I've had some like close people in my life. I actually had a guy, one of my good friends, J. Duran, he called me out on the podcast. Um, because it's, it is, there was a lot of hard work up front to get to this point, but it, it would be honest for me to really say that I, I feel like everything I do now is somewhat effortless.
Totally.
But not in a way of like I'm not doing any work. It's just that I really feel just mentally, physically, and, um, you know, it's the books, it's, it's everything, whatever, you know, everything of my whole life up to this moment I am just very, um, um, just like, I think certain's the right word. I'm just like certain of all the— and that's okay, but it feels weird to kind of say like, oh yeah, I do everything effortlessly.
But it's like, I totally— like, honestly, Tyler, you and I are so aligned. You know what, I— it just came to me while you were saying this to try and like articulate it maybe in a different, like, another way put is I think I was so I was so vested in trying to externally do, do, do, do, do. I was still working within, but it was like, it was, it was, to be honest, it was a learned— a lot of these are things that we learn. I don't want to, I don't want to play the blame game because I'm totally like, I take 100% responsibility for my life. But a lot of these things are limiting beliefs we've learned from people when we were a child, whether, you know, that might be parents, that might be elders, that might be school system, whatever. It's a lot of these ingrained ways of thinking that don't serve us. And it's like even the notion of like even this is a limiting belief for a lot of people in itself where it's like you literally have the only way to get ahead. The only way to have success in your life is to work yourself like crazy, to hustle hard, to like— and I'm not saying, again, I don't want people listening to think like you and I are just sitting, you know, on a golden throne and we've never done any work. It's not that. It's, it's having the mindset that you don't necessarily have to struggle through the process of getting what you want. You can enjoy yourself while you're, you're working towards getting the things or manifesting the things you want in your life. It doesn't— you like, you don't have to equate success equate success with struggle. You don't have to equate success with doing things that feel bad. It doesn't have to be like that. I think that's a big one. And the reason why, you know, like, I think that we have these, like, another way put, it's interesting. I love the word that you use, certain. That's a big one for me too, because another way put, a manifestation, another way to say it is like, confidence or certainty. When you're 100% certain, then you're that much closer to achieving that thing because you have to be confident that you're going to get it. If you have any sort of insecurity around it, it's either not going to show up or it's going to show up and you're going to have like— it's going to— and I excuse my language, but it's going to kind of half-ass show up for you. You have to be the one to decide for yourself first and foremost. That it's, that it's done. It's already, it's already yours. Like, that's when you're living in your 4D and 5D. I don't know how much spiritual chat we want to get into with these different dimensions, like quantum physics and, and all that fun stuff, but it's like, basically, if you can think about it in your mind, you're already in like 4D, 5D. And I feel like now, looking back, knowing what I know about manifesting and the power of the mind and the subconscious, it's like, my goodness, my— and this is It was funny, this is what I was going to say before when you're talking about something and this came up for me. I just like, I feel like God just like, it's like a stream of consciousness that like flows through me. So when you and I like, when I'm around certain people or talking to certain people too, it comes out more. So I feel like the best way for me to say it, and when you actually talked about your younger years feeling like you were limitless, I honestly, part of me does really truly believe that our most evolved state is getting back to our inner child state of being that the Because when you think about it, when you're a child, the most, the most beautiful example I can use is when you're a child and you think you can be Superman or Superwoman, you genuinely believe that you are Superman or Superwoman because you don't have any limiting beliefs. You don't have people around you yet, hopefully, that have ingrained in you like, oh, stop, you know, that stupid imagination, or like, that's, that's silly talk, or you know what I mean? So fearless, limitless. You're expansively operating from like this inner space of just like untouchable and being untouchable, you know what I mean? So I feel like a lot of like simultaneously as an adult, this is how I look at it and this is kind of where I go with my coaching as well with clients. It's like there's two things going on simultaneously. You're trying to peel back all the— I use like the onion layers, but you're trying to basically peel back all these layers of this onion that have been imposed upon you, or that you've picked up along the way, or trauma that you've experienced. So you're trying to peel back all of that while simultaneously still evolving into your highest, most elevated state as a soul. So it's kind of like, it's kind of this, this give and take at all times. And that, if, if, you know, you asked me what my updates were, I'd say more than anything, that's the kind of balance I've been trying to achieve in my life is like, trying to continuously shed anything that's not serving me, releasing it with love and peace, and at the same time evolving into my highest best self.
Yeah, so this is awesome. Okay, so let me share this real quick, and I think you're gonna resonate really big with it. So there was, um, I think it was— I'd have to go back to Facebook— there was like, it was like literally 8, 7, 8 years ago Because after I started my business, it pretty much took off after like 2 years, and then it's grown since then. But I discovered the quote that I wrote, it was like, it was on Facebook, it was a picture of me as a kid, and then it was a picture of me now. And then I wrote like, eventually you become you again. Like, it was something like that. And what, yeah, and it was like, because, and the way to do it is you basically, you know, you rid of everything thing that like school and every other interaction, not every interaction, but like, I guess all the ones that like put a label on you as you need to do this or you need and like, yes. And the sad thing is, I guess some people never actually break through to that. But it's like thinking, and again, just myself as the example to use in this conversation. So it's like, when I was younger, I was always a people person. That's like, I was just that guy that was friends. Yeah, well, that and just like friends with everyone. And then I went down school and then my major in college was accounting, right? Makes no sense, but it was like, that's how clouded my mind was with thinking that like, oh, I have to work hard, accounting, accountants make good money, I have to go, you know, all those things that were kind of put on me. And again, like you said, not playing the victim, it's just the way it all happened. And then I I let go of that and then started having success with things that I enjoy doing, which then, you know, if you enjoy your work, it's effortless. Like, we've all heard that, like, if you love what you do, it's not work. So it's just interesting where if somebody when I was younger had just been like, hey, look, we're noticing these tendencies in you, you know, like, you know, you're the person in school that like everyone is friends with. Like, you're the one who's cracking jokes in class. Like, hey, you know, not that podcasting was a thing then, but it's like, hey, maybe radio, you know, like maybe you'd like radio because like, you know, but accounting, you know, my counselor in high school was like, yeah, you know, accounting's great. And I'm like, the truth of the matter was she didn't know anything about me. She was just looking at it from a financial thing. Like, yes, accountants make $60 grand a year. You'll go to school, you know, blah, blah, blah. So, it's just interesting where, and that's getting into a whole nother rabbit hole, but if people paid very close attention to kids from that angle, it's actually, I think, pretty clear what you're likely to enjoy and excel at when you're older just by looking at you in your first like 7 years on the planet.
Oh, man. I'm so happy you brought this up. So, first off, I am the woman, okay, I've said this a few times, I used to get in trouble in school for talking. Now I get paid to it. Now I get paid to do it. So sorry, teachers from my past. I'm actually getting paid to do what you used to get me in trouble for. That's awesome. Same here. But I just have to throw that in because it's always like, whenever someone talks about these things, I'm like, honestly, I totally feel you. But yeah, like, same, same, same, same here. So this is the funny thing. And now that we're bringing this up, yeah, it's like, I remember I went to school for journalism, and I think I shared this on the podcast before, but I specialize in broadcasting and I went to a really good college here in Toronto, Canada. And I remember at our graduation, there was a man who did the— one of the men that stood up to do a speech, he actually said something and I will never forget what he talked about because it literally— I felt like that was— I manifested that moment of him saying this, but it was ingrained in me for life to always go back to this concept. He said that he truly believes that in our lives, There's always— and I think I've seen other, like, people kind of touch on this too. And now you're another, you know, reminder of all these beautiful concepts that are kind of similar. It's like in our childhood or younger years, there's usually a moment or a few moments that really— it's when we're doing something we truly are meant to do. And some people are, I'd say, fortunate enough where they actually continue with that thing. And but a lot of times, which is more likely to happen, is, you know, people either lead us in a different direction or we choose to go a different way because we think, who knows, for whatever reason, right? We're led away from that, that inner, let's say, inner, like, sorry, intuition, maybe something like that. Like kind of your intuitive passion, we'll say, like something that's ingrained in you from when you were created. But something leads you away from it. And, and those of us who are fortunate enough, like you and I, come back to that. Like, when I was in school, it was kind of a similar story where, you know, my grandfather was a judge and he was a lawyer, and that— from the lawyer, then he became a judge. And like, I had it in my mind, and like, I remember even in my grade 7 or 8 yearbook, I wrote I was going to be a lawyer. That was like the big thing. I always wanted to do it. And, you know, luck— I, I look at it as lucky enough, in high school I ended up up going down the path of journalism. I did a co-op and I just fell in love with it. Luckily, I also had parents that really supported anything I wanted to do. So like, they always encouraged me to go after my dreams. But you know what I mean? Like, the lawyer thing, even though even to this day, I'm, I totally stand for justice and like, being like, fairness is something that's just an innate value and quality to me. Like, I just really always want fairness for all. But I think that's where the lawyer thing stemmed from. But it was also that influence of like having someone in my family have such a prestigious, you know, quote unquote, job and position that I wanted that. But I, again, I think it's a blessing that I was led down a path where I actually am doing what I truly love and know I was meant to do, like doing purposeful work today. This is what I was meant to do, you know what I mean?
No, totally.
I think it's important. Like, I was also the kid like you. I was running around as a child with a plastic Playskool tape recorder interviewing people about themselves. Like, I, I can't even make this stuff up, you know? Like, I would literally run up to strangers with this plastic Playskool tape recorder and record people and ask them about the weather. I'd ask them about, like, random things. Like, it was just— I just did it because I was a kid and I didn't know any better than doing what I loved, right? There was no there was nobody telling me don't do that. There was no one saying you should be this way and you should follow these footsteps and you should do it this way. It was like you almost— like when I have children, I really, I would like to have children and one day, and when I do, I am going to be the first to say to a certain degree, like obviously I want to raise them with, with respect and manners and, and positive ideas. But one of the things I'm going to say is be very careful who you're listening to, because the only person you really ever need to listen to is yourself.
Yes. Oh, it's amazing. Yeah, it's so true. And one thing I was just gonna ask you there is, um, like, do you feel like the difference in the way, in like the feeling of your work? Because that's something that then shifted for me too, um, in my life is like, you know, it's one thing to start to have like financial success, but then you notice no matter what the business is there's parts of every business that like you don't enjoy, that are not enjoyable, right? Like, every business, you, no matter what, you have to, you have to have an accountant, or you have to look at your own numbers and figure it out yourself, right? And like, it's pretty obvious that's something me and you would probably not enjoy doing. So, my question to you is like, for me, I noticed another shift was like, when I really just stayed in my lane, for instance, like, You know, with the book business, I really only do calls and then like visionary type stuff. And then, with the podcast is like really like I absolutely love every present second of it because this is what I love to do. So, there's like a deep meaning to the work, right? So, it's not just about the outcome of like, oh, okay, like I'm, you know, I'm getting more clients, the business is growing, great. It's not just that. It's actually like the actual, like this podcast, for instance, this was actually a shift that happened a few months ago. I had been podcasting for like 2, 2 and a half years now, and I always loved it, but it's just because I love connecting with people. But then recently I had a deeper love for it because I actually believe like how effect, like how much of an effect this conversation could have on someone. Like, I didn't fully realize that before. I guess my attention just wasn't on it. And then I like started to look like, I know we both like Jordan Peterson. He was actually the one that kind of triggered this for me because I noticed, you know, he'll do a talk, right? And then like people will cry, people's lives change from his words. So then, I started to realize, I was like, these aren't just interviews. Like, I'm not just like doing a podcast. Like, if somebody listens to this in its entirety and decides to take action, and this might sound a little bit wild to some people, but like, You know, we're all a part of the— of this one, this oneness. So like, if somebody listens to this, it changes their life, they make a change in their life that could in fact affect— and it does in fact affect— the entire world, right?
So it's like you said it, you said it. Like, yeah, everything. I totally feel like— well, yes, absolutely. To answer your question, yes, I feel an absolute shift in my work because I don't look at it as— I actually look at it as more of a disservice to not create now. Like, I know I'm a creator, and I know that from an energetic standpoint, because energy is a big part of manifesting, right? Like, we're all energy beings, and I do believe we're all like brothers and sisters in a global family, and we're all connected, as you said, as this oneness. And I do believe in the ripple effect. It's like when you— I don't just look at it like, like— and it's funny, you know, It's all about— it's interesting. It's just I always manifest things in such divine timing, I swear. So this past week, like, I ended up filming 3 YouTubes in one day. And it was funny. And this is like total real— this is real life, right? So I had planned to have a phone call with one of the people that I love the most in the entire world, somebody who's like so near and dear to me, after the fact. But for some reason, like, I— anyways, I did these 3 videos. I ended up filming them. And to be honest, I actually felt so simultaneously high on life, but so in a way, I don't want to use the word depleted because that's maybe not the right word, but it was just like I had put so much of my heart and soul into these episodes when I filmed them that I literally like I had to text my, my, one of my best friends and say like, look, I actually can't make this call tonight. I need to literally like go outside and like get fresh air, be in nature and like replenish myself. And it wasn't the kind of depletion from— it wasn't like I was tired. It was because I realized I had given so much of my heart and soul into these, these episodes. So it was like I literally had felt like I'm creating this from— I'm giving so much of my heart and soul because I know that just like you said, it is so, so much energy, like positive energy that I'm pouring into them that will— I already think of myself someone who's affecting millions of people. I already have that mindset. So it's like all it takes is one person to touch another person to touch another person to touch another person to touch another person because of my one act of creating from such a positive, pure space. The reason why I say this is because, yes, like, I don't look at my work in the same way. I don't even— I mean, we give meaning to words, you know, like work to me isn't something negative. It's like I— there's so much meaning behind work now for me that didn't, that didn't necessarily— wasn't that it didn't exist, but like you said, I maybe wasn't as aware of my impact. And now I see it as like, when I create an episode, I'm not just creating a YouTube, I'm literally changing millions of people's lives. That's how I look at it, or at least the potential to do so. So I take my work very seriously because it's a soul-to-soul connection. It's not just throwing something up on the internet. It's like we are literally— and it doesn't matter if you're someone who creates stuff online. You could be creating these beautiful, positive and like, oh my gosh, I'm getting vibrations in my body again. This is totally aligned. I really— sorry, just so like people listening, like I just tend to get a lot of physical sensations when I'm like on a really positive, like aligned path. Typically when I'm talking or just like if I'm really into something and it's like totally aligned for my spirit, I at the time, I get like literal, like it feels to describe it. And this might be something maybe some of you experience and maybe you're not even aware of it. I like to think that the body is a way of pushing out what's going on in our subconscious. So things like dis-ease is really like a dis of ease in our bodies, which means we're not in alignment. Whereas when I get like these kind of sensations, it feels like tingles, or it can feel like just different sensations that I get. And I feel literally bubbly, like I'm vibrating with bubbly energy. So right now feeling that. But the reason why I bring this up is because that's how you know, that's how you know you're doing your purpose work. And yes, there's been a definite shift for me. And going back to this whole like process of, you know, creator, God created us, we're, we do have a divine destiny. I believe it was Yogananda who says in life, it's we get to choose our influences. So I want to, I want to bring this into context because I know a lot of people listening who are listening to your podcast are either successful career people or just people who are like successful entrepreneurs or on their path to be one. And so when it comes to figuring out like where you need to invest your energy and time in your business, I mean, one big thing that's also helped me along the way is every little kind of milestone I meet, um, I invest money back into my business. And one part of that is, is definitely that's helped the most is like investing in the right people to delegate things that I am not aligned with. Or don't feel passionate about at all, you know, like hiring contractors or just building out my team with people who, again, maybe that's their jam, maybe that's what they're passionate about. Hopefully you hire people who are passionate about what they, they're doing, you know, because then it allows you to, to get back in tune and aligned with doing only the things that you really, really are like your natural abilities, your, your there's another term I used to use for it, but anyways, the things that you're most passionate about. So yeah, to answer your question, total shift. Like, I feel a complete shift because the shift happened within me, and I just— it's not so much that my work has changed, it's that the inner shift has happened within me, so the work has then shifted without as well.
Yes, exactly. And when you when you work in this way with like deep meaning and understanding the impact that you're having, it's just, it really, and I'll just speak for myself, it's just a different way of working. And also, marketing becomes so much easier. Like, for instance, so I'll just say this because I think it's very aligned. Like, you don't always do it, but I think like once a week sometimes when a new video comes out, you'll text it to me. And like, that should be really easy for you to do, right? Because like, how I feel with my podcast, because I feel so much meaning in them, like, I— the marketing is so easy because I'm like, I really truly believe, like, I really want as many people as possible to hear this episode because I truly believe it will impact them because I believe in the meaning of of, I'll say, my work, but in this case, our work together. And that's how you feel about your YouTube. So it's like, you know, you absolutely have been crushing it with it. So it's just like, yes, I want to share it with my friends because there's meaning behind it and I believe in it.
So totally, that's— yeah, and that's the thing I try to create. I mean, I get inspired from a lot of different sources for the topics that are on the YouTube. Sometimes they're coaching clients, sometimes it's like manifestation groups or mindset groups that I'm a part of. Sometimes it's just life, you know, things come up in my own life or things I see around me, or if it's like, you know, even societal influence, that kind of stuff. To be honest though, like, and you and I have had this discussion off, off the podcast, but also on as well, I think it's just like kind of— I want to say my one thing that's been a huge shift for me as well is energy preservation. And when I say this, it's like, I think the more and more— and this is again going kind of into the spiritual chat with the 4D, 5D, but it's just, I mean, to me this is a belief. So when you're in your mind, when you're in your imagination, you're typically more in your 4D, 5D, which is like your imagined reality, like your desired state of being. This that you see right in front of you right now here is a 3D, for those out there who might not be familiar with these concepts. So basically, I don't believe in what I see anymore in the sense that you have to look at it like this, or at least like take this into consideration as something that you might want to explore as a concept. The 3D is past manifested thoughts. There's nothing you can do to change what you see right in front of you because these are old seeds that you've planted that are now coming to fruition. It could have been a second ago. It could have been 5 years ago that you had a thought that didn't serve, or it did serve, and it's showing up now in your 3D. That's why when you react— and I even did a YouTube on reacting versus responding— when you react to your 3D, you're basically reacting to old news. Like, no pun intended, you're reacting to something that you've already, you've already planted a seed for. You can't change what's right in front of you because it's happening right now. What you do have the power, however, to do in your 3D is plant new seeds in that moment for things that you actually want to happen. That's why the power— and going back to that cute little rhyme, even though it's cute, it's very powerful. All you have to do is take care of the what and the now. That's why you hear all of these spiritual people, you know, the Eckhart Tolls, all these people talk about living in the now, living in the here and now, because now is all we have to work with, Tyler. This moment right now, like you and I, this podcast we're doing in this moment right now, we like— yes, technically we set it up and everything, but this is, this is a manifestation from both of us from past thoughts. We've thought about this at some point in our past. So it's showing up right now in this second that you're, that you're tuning in right now, people, you even manifested listening to this podcast. Yeah. So this is old news now. Right now in this moment, take this as your sign. You can plant whatever seeds, limitless possibilities right now in this moment to plant whatever the bleep seeds you want to manifest whatever it is you want for a future time. It could be a second from now. It could be a month from now. It could be a year from now. Doesn't matter. You don't take care of when that delivery from quote unquote God Amazon is going to make that thing show up for you in your reality. You don't need to mess with the middle. You don't need to make things happen. As long as you believe it's possible for you and you know exactly what you want, the more detail the better usually without, you know, trying to, to trying to mess basically with the how. Don't, don't get into the how. Just know what it is you want, whether it's a person, a thing, an opportunity, you know, a material thing, whatever it is. Just know exactly what you want. Stay focused on living as the person in your mind who already has that thing. Stick to your positive mental diet and just continue to plant the seeds that serve those thoughts. Every thought we have, Tyler, and I know you know all about this, but it's like we have over 60,000 thoughts a day. Now someone can look at that and go, oh my bleeping goodness, that's 60,000+ things I need to monitor I look at it as, oh my goodness, that's 60,000 opportunities I have to plant seeds that can manifest into whatever the heck I want them to. That's having a winning mindset around your thoughts.
100%. And actually, that just gave me a realization that if you're having over 60,000 thoughts a day and those thoughts are really effort, like they're coming without you trying, then just, you know, realize like what you really are capable of. Like, your brain is already producing over 60,000 thoughts a day without you trying to do it.
Yeah, that's the thing. When people— and that's why, like, using the term, like, you can never be bad at manifesting. You, by virtue of you thinking, every thought you have creates. Every thought you have is a manifestation to be, right? So it's like, you can't really be bad at manifesting. What you can potentially be bad at and I don't even want to use the term bad per se, but it's like what might be stopping you and what always is going to stop you is just yourself. So you need to figure out, and that's why working with a coach, and I'm not, you know, I'll plug myself, but it's not the meaning why I'm saying this is you don't, you don't need a coach. You really don't. It can be helpful and beneficial to have a coach to help you to decipher through what some of your limiting beliefs may be, what some of your blocks are, and also to learn some techniques that could help expedite your manifesting abilities. But I'm going to say it for First off, you're always going to be— even to my coaching clients who have success, I tell them straight up, congratulate yourself first. Thank you for like saying thank you to me and, you know, being grateful for my help in assisting you in your process. But it's all your work. Like, you're the one doing the inner work. So it's important to know, like, you're always in control. You have the ability to have whatever lifestyle you want. You have the ability to create anything for yourself. But it's always going to stem from you and it starts with your mind. It's like if you can think, you can manifest. You just have to make sure what you're thinking. Like, I don't— and I know I'm going off on a tangent because I'm really passionate about this, but it's like I— to even call myself a manifestation coach, it almost feels like it's technically the right term, but I'm not really teaching. I don't teach people how to manifest, Tyler. I don't, because you're already manifesting by virtue of you thinking. What I'm teaching you to do is how to refine how to think in a way that's more serving to help to get you what you want faster and better. Does that make sense?
Yeah, no, 100%. It does. And I think, well, I know, so I want to leave the floor to you because I know we're tight on time now. But if I don't, I don't think we, well, you can't really miss anything. But if there's anything else you'd like to share, please do.
I think you and I are like always to be continued, like until next time.
Yeah, I Um, and also though, just so people, um, that are listening that didn't listen to the first one, like, where can people connect with you?
Oh, thank you. Yeah, so I mean, if there's only one place you visit that basically has everything on it, it's my website, which is, um, M-A-N-D-Y-J-R-O-S-S.com. So it's MandyJRoss.com, all one word. Um, aside from that, I'm very active on social media. I love, love, love, love connecting with y'all out there who are listening on social. So Instagram, I'm @mandijross. I'm pretty much across the board on everything like LinkedIn, TikTok. I have to make some new TikToks, I'm gonna be honest. But Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, I'm actually /mandijessicaross. That's the only different one. And then obviously my YouTube channel is under Mandy J. Ross. I also have Pave Your Paradise, which is the podcast. Podcast. So you can search any app, pretty much audio app, popular audio app, it's under Pave Your Paradise. And even though I am not currently producing new episodes, the, the ones like I've, I have so many that people still to this day message me almost on the daily saying how much they love them. So they're very, they're very high value ones to listen to about a myriad of topics. Basically how to uplevel your business, your life, your relationships, your health, all of, all the good stuff. But right now, yeah, like I'm producing new YouTube content every single week, sometimes more than once a week, you know, multiple videos. I have interviews on there as well with people and my own talks. And I'd say the primary, the primary thing across all like my social content right now that I'm feeling really aligned with is obviously manifesting mindset, but also really like health and wellness, just living your best, healthiest, happiest life. I am the— I like to call myself now the positive assumption queen.
Oh, I love that. That's awesome.
You got to assume the best. Well, like, that's what I always pose as a final kind of like— I'm going to pose it to your audience right now. Like, what if you just assumed everything? Like, what if you always assume the best? How would your life shift if you always just assumed? Because, you know, it's so easy sometimes to assume the worst. But it's like, what if you actually just always assume the best-case scenario for yourself? What would that look like?
Mm-hmm. Yeah, no, I think that's huge. And I think that's a good question to leave everybody with. And you got to wait till next time for everything else.
Are we manifesting? I think we're manifesting another podcast interview.
I don't think, I don't think we could not do that if we tried. That's where the manifesting taps out there, right? But thank you again for coming on. I really appreciate it. And yeah, everybody listening, definitely expect another episode at some point with Mandy Ross. So thanks again.
Thank you.
