In this Business Blast Podcast episode, host Tyler Wagner interviews Patricia Young, a certified professional and holistic coach. Patricia shares a personal story of experiencing panic attacks and anxiety while working at a bank, which, combined with the loss of two friends to cancer, sparked her journey of self‑discovery and led her to coach women in uncovering their passions and missions. She emphasizes that each person must make their existence valuable, as no one else will do it for them, and stresses living authentically in the present moment. Her core business advice is to keep showing up, stay connected to one’s mission, continuously learn, and surround yourself with supportive people. For her younger self she advises self‑love, belief, and recognizing one’s inherent worth. She defines happiness as listening to one’s heart and ignoring external approval. Patricia recommends the book Excuses Be Gone by Wayne Dyer for uncovering limiting thought patterns, and shares a favorite Buddha quote about self‑love. Listeners are directed to her website innerprosperityacademy.com and her social media profiles under Inner Prosperity or Inner Prosperity Academy.

Alright everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Patricia Young with us. She is a certified professional and holistic coach. So welcome to the show, Patricia.
Thank you for having me, Tyler.
Of course, thanks for joining us. We'll dive in. The first question I have for you is is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Well, I would say, yeah, it would be basically 3, 4 years ago, I started getting panic attacks and suffering from anxiety, getting sick very easily. I was working for a bank back then, and it was very uncomfortable going to work and having a panic attack in the middle of a conversation with your boss or a coworker, right? So, and I was having these, longing inside of me that I really wanted to do something bigger, more meaningful, like making an impact to the world. And, but I didn't know where to start, how to begin, what was it that I was supposed to do, if I had any gifts or passions. And then at the same time, two friends of mine passed away to cancer, two months apart from one another. So that was the biggest catalyst for me to understand that we're here today and we might not be here tomorrow. And I didn't want to get to the end of my life and look back and say, well, I never had the courage to explore and give myself the opportunity to see what I was good at, what I was passionate about. So that was the beginning of my exploration and self-discovery. And that's how I got started into coaching women, actually getting clear on their passions, their missions, and connecting with their courage. They can actually make braver decisions and get clear on their life's mission. Mm.
And what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that is within your expertise or industry?
I would say that it's really up to us to make our existence on this planet valuable, right? Nobody will do it for us. No one will come and save us. And I know this because I got to a point where I had to realize that it was really up to me. There was no one coming to help. There was nothing to wait for because maybe tomorrow I was not going to be here anymore. So after all, all we have in life is the present moment we have today. And now is the time to allow yourself to be you, not the new you, but the real you.
And what is your best piece of overall business advice? So not necessarily industry specific.
I would say, um, keep showing up, connect with your mission, um, and why it is important to you and, um, learn new things, keep growing yourself as a person and connect with people are inspiring and that support your dreams and are cheering you up, believing you. But the most important thing is keep showing up for your mission and for the people that need your gifts out there.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
I would say love yourself more, believe more in yourself, um, think that you're enough all the time. It doesn't matter what you see around you or what you hear around you, you're more than enough.
And in your opinion, it could tie in, but in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
I would say basically listen to your heart. Really don't seek approval. Stop. You need to stop listening to the opinions of others and really listen to the whispers of your soul, your inner wisdom.
And what's the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
Wow, I read a lot of books for a long time, so I have so many. But one that I guess— one is Excuses Be Gone by Wayne Dyer, because this book actually showed me how thinking patterns really have prevented me from living a happier life and a healthier life, right? Emotionally and physically. And really, it helped me examine my own beliefs and Try to see them from a different light. So that really helped me to make more new choices and not making more excuses, basically.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
I love one from Buddha, and it's related to self-love, and it says, "You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." I love that.
Thank you so much for coming on. The last question I have for you before we let you go is where's the best place for people to find you online?
My website, it's innerprosperityacademy.com, and I'm on social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn as Inner Prosperity or Inner Prosperity Academy.
Perfect. Thank you again for joining us. We really appreciate it.
