Alright everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast Podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Tal Paparan with us. He is the VP of Business Development and partner at KSW Solutions, an international business strategies development center. Sales and marketing company. They help companies reach new international markets. So welcome to the show, man.
Thank you.
Of course, man. Grateful to have you here. Let's jump right into the first question. The first one I have for you is, what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Okay, the best story from my life is probably when I was 8 years old. I caught a bunch of fish and then I walked back home with the fish and I sold it for a monthly paycheck to my neighbor. And then my mom was horrified that I took so much money off the neighbor that she made me to return all of it. There's many lessons, but the main lesson is do what you have to do to make money and avoid management. I like it.
The next one I have for you is, what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that is within your expertise or industry?
Okay, so this is a very important one, and it might sound like obvious. I'm dealing with multiple international markets, and the most valuable piece of information would be every country is different. Every culture is different. And before starting or even attempting to sell in the new market, you need to do your homework. That's it.
And, uh, it could tie in, but what's your best piece of overall business advice? So not necessarily industry-specific.
Absolutely. In general, my best advice at all would be keep educating yourself. Keep learning, keep getting new information, be it podcasts, books, interviews, you name it. Get as much information daily as possible. Keep learning.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
That probably would be it. When I was much younger, I was a papa's ass, and I was pretty much sure that I know all of it. My advice to my younger self would be, you don't know it all, there's a lot out there to learn, learn.
I was gonna say, I thought you were gonna say sell more fish.
Yeah, sell more, just sell more.
And then in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
In my opinion, the key to happiness is to be happy with whatever you have right now. Just be happy with what you have right now. You're healthy, your lungs are functioning, your heart is pumping, you're walking straight, you have food in your fridge. Be happy with what you have.
And what is the best book that you've read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
So that's a hard one because I usually go through a book a day. I try to read a book every day. So there isn't one good one. All of them are good. There's not— it's not something I can answer.
And what is your favorite quote and why?
My favorite quote is out of the Bible, out of the book of our sages. And the quote says, who can be called smart? He that learns from every man. And I really like this quote, and it shows that a lot of people think that only gurus or only influencers, only geniuses have something to contribute. This quote, however, says that every single person you meet throughout your life journey has something valuable to teach you.
I love it, man. I agree, and thank you so much for coming on. The last one I have for you before we let you go is, where's the best place for people to find you online?
The best way to find me online would be obviously LinkedIn. I live in LinkedIn, but all of my contact information would be at www.kswsolutions. KSW Solutions.
Perfect, man. Thanks again for jumping on.
Absolutely. Thank you for having me.
