Alright everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Business Blast Podcast. I'm your host Tyler Wagner. Today I have Tony J. Salemi with us. He is a well-sought international speaker, author, educator, and one of the world's leading authorities on human behavior. Who specializes in helping people maximize their human potential. So welcome to the show, man.
Thank you, Tyler Wagner.
Of course, man, grateful to have you on. The first one I have for you, Tony, is what is the best story from your life that has an underlying valuable message?
Well, there has been many events that had a profound impact on my life with their underlying valuable messages. But one I remember most is spending Halloween of 1990 living homeless on the streets of London, feeling alone, desperate and very unworthy of who I am. I was sitting outside the Trocadero Centre, which is in Piccadilly Circus in the centre of London, reading the Evening Standard, one of the local newspapers, watching people passing me by in various costumes and scary faces, very unaware of my predicament, unaware that a few months before that, I was a teenage soldier stuck in a battlefield fighting a civil war deep down, which I despised. In that moment, actually, I realized how lucky I am to be alive, to live homeless in a city that is peaceful, vibrant, and full of people I can learn from, grow with, and share all that this city and the life itself has to offer. In a way, it is this that actually put me on a mission to teach and inspire positive action in the lives of 1 billion people, which I'm now on.
Hmm, dude, that's awesome. I'm sorry, I thought I was just thinking to myself, I'm like, I think I saw something on Facebook about you actually with the 1 billion people. So very cool. The next one I have for you, man, is what is the most valuable piece of information we should know that's within your expertise or industry?
That's a very good question, Tyler. In the last 30 years, I spent my life actually learning various life disciplines, leading and managing multimillion-pound technology projects, and teaching a lot of people how to maximize their human potential. But one of the things I learned is that we all have the desire to do one job: to live an extraordinary, fun, healthy, wealthy, and love-induced life. The rest is expectations of others, distraction, and noise. It is what inspired me to consolidate all of this knowledge and experience into a unique methodology that I now use and teach my clients how to tune into it and to consciously rewire their models of reality and to upgrade their systems for living, for the experiences they truly want to create in life.
And then what is your best piece of overall business advice? So not necessarily industry specific.
Well, the way you, a person or a team member spends their time determines how well the business is doing. What I would say is take the time to create and implement a clear business vision that is aligned to the company's individual values. And design products and services that are generating an extraordinary value for the customer. And have a clear vital plan in place that you and your team can follow in detail and which is very specific.
And if you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Well, keep educating, investing, and nurturing your body, your mind, your heart, for they are the key that opens the doors that leads to living a very balanced, healthy, peaceful, and a meaningful life.
And in your opinion, what is the key to happiness?
Well, to know that happiness is one-sided emotion that people can use to manipulate one another.
Oh, interesting. Okay, can you explain a little bit more?
What do you mean? That's cool. It's actually happiness is just one side of emotion because every time there's happiness, there's sadness. If you truly want to live a meaningful life, actually people need to learn what love truly means and what it is scientifically, but also spiritually. Love is a very much higher vibration than happiness, because happiness is driven by certain behaviors when people actually are seeking pleasure and avoiding pain, which is something where somebody is driven by the duality of their nature and by being polarized. Very interesting.
Okay, that is the first time we've got a response like that. I like it. That is awesome. So the next one I have for you is, what is the best book that you have read and what was the number one thing you learned from that?
Well, I've read over 15,000 books, but one which really resonated with me, especially when it comes to building wealth, it's How to Make One Hell of a Profit and Still Get to Heaven by Dr. John Demartini. And one thing I learned from it is how emotions can truly destroy your wealth-building abilities.
And then what is your favorite quote and why?
Well, I mean, since I was a kid, I was driven by quotes. It's my parents taught me a lot of words. And, but one, what specifically is, to know thyself is the beginning of wisdom, which is by Socrates, but also Aristotle actually used that knowing yourself is the beginning of Always them, because the relationship with yourself is one of the most important relationships in your life. And if you do not have a full understanding of who you are, then how are others supposed to get to know you?
I love it. Dude, thank you so much for coming on. The last one I have for you before we let you go is where can our audience find you online?
