090: Creating Success with the Manifestation Babe Kathrin Zenkina

This is a YouTube video titled "090: Creating Success with the Manifestation Babe Kathrin Zenkina" featuring an in-depth English podcast-style interview recorded in July 2019. Natalie Jill, a fat loss expert turned high performance coach, hosts the conversation with Catherine Zinkina, founder of Manifestation Babe. They discuss Catherine's personal journey from humble beginnings and people-pleasing tendencies to building a successful coaching business through manifestation and the law of attraction. The dialogue covers overcoming setbacks, mindset shifts, spirituality, and practical steps for manifesting success. The content is motivational and focused on personal development and entrepreneurship.
Hi, I'm Natalie Jill, fat loss expert turned high performance coach. When odds are stacked against us, how do we shift and create everything from nothing? How do we level up when we aren't feeling it yet or we've had a big setback? On this podcast, I'll be talking to some of the most inspiring and courageous men and women on this planet who at their worst, learned how to achieve success greater than they ever dreamed possible. Leveling up and creating everything from nothing. Catherine Zinkina obtained a bachelor's degree in biology when she decided to forego medical school. She picked up the book the Secret, and she entered herself into the law of Attraction world. Before creating manifestation babe. In 2016, she was $25,000 in debt, making less than $1600 a month.
And.
And she was failing at her online business. She picked up, moved across the country, moved on her grandmother's couch, and she started an Instagram account, Manifestation Babe, so she can document exactly what she was learning. Her business today has generated over $1.3 million in the last six months. She's built a coaching empire, become an acclaimed Amazon author of Unleash youh Inner Money Babe, created the Rich Babe Academy, and built an online community of 100,000 plus followers. Katherine is a true example of living the life of manifesting. She's incredible. I can't wait for you to meet Katherine today and learn exactly how she manifested her way into leveling up. Creating everything from nothing. Today on Leveling Up, I am super excited because I've got Catherine Zen Kina, and I'm so excited to chat with you. So my podcast, those of you that I'm following, is really about how people leveled up and created everything from nothing. At many times from a space of hardship or humble beginnings or really nothing. And what I love about today's interview and what we're about to dive into is Katherine created, founded, runs Manifestation Babe, which is really like the epitome of the theme of every guest I've had on how they manifested and visualized and created a whole different life for themselves. So, Kathryn, I am so excited to dive in. Thank you for being here today.
Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to dive into this.
So you've got this big brand online. People know you everywhere. You've got a huge social media following. You've got programs that just rock and create so much for people, but that's not always who you were. Can you take us back? Like, who were you before all this?
Oh, my God. So I come from an immigrant family. My family brought me to the United States when I was just a baby. And we started off so super duper humble beginnings. My childhood was pretty chaotic. My parents would always fight. There was always, like, stress and chaos and noise. And I just remember it being really, really, like, loud and combustive. And I was that child who way more preferred to play by herself in her room, trying to, like, hide from the world around her. I was the daydreamer. I remember constantly escaping inside my head and preferring to be with my own thoughts rather than other. And so I grew up really, really shy and introverted. And to think that I even have this business today with almost 100,000 followers and this podcast and people are listening and I'm speaking on stage is so crazy to think about. But I was like that pretty much up until maybe late high school. There was some bullying involved in middle school and high school, and so I didn't have very many friends. I was very, very shy and introverted. And the turning point of my life was really about four years ago. Is it 2019? Yes, almost four years ago when I went to a Tony Robbins event called Unleash the Power Within. Have you ever been?
I have not yet, but it's so funny because this is a theme on so many guests that I've interviewed. They said I went to an event. It starts the same way.
So, yeah, so about four years ago, I was in a place, you know, coming from that shy intro, very like, follow the leader kind of personality type. I didn't know how to think for myself.
Is that what you were bullied around, by the way you mentioned you were bullied. Was it about that? Was it about being shy or did that just escalate, you being that?
You know, it's a great question you asked because I did gain about 30 pounds from all the stress in my childhood in the third grade. And I was bullied for being overweight. I was also bullied for just keeping to myself. I had trouble making friends. And I remember kids always being like, oh, you're the loner, you're the loser. Catherine doesn't have any friends, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so around high school, my parents were essentially programming me to become a doctor. My mom, my entire life, she was all about the American dream. She went to nursing school. My dad worked two jobs. And so my parents were always grooming me to fulfill some sort of aspect of the American dream. And in my parents eyes, that only came in the form of being a doctor. And so my entire childhood including high school. My parents were anytime anyone would ever ask, they would say, oh, Catherine's going to medical school, Katherine's gonna become a doctor, blah blah, blah, blah. And I always thought that that was my calling. I thought that my parents were telling me that that's what I was gonna become. Then I created this identity that, you know what, the only way to have success and the only way to connect with people and the only way to be important in this world because I felt so insignificant in my life was to go to medical school. And by the time I went to this event, I had a moment. It was night one of Tony Robbins event where for the first time in my life I had this voice come through me and ask a very profound, very important question that I still ask myself up until this day. It's like one of my questions that I filter a lot of my decision making. Katherine, who are you living for? And I didn't think much about it at first. I was like, okay, that's interesting. So I remember writing it down in my notebook. The next day it just got louder over and over and over again.
Who are you living for?
Who are you living for? And it wasn't until day three of the event, because it's a four day event, that I finally connected, that I was living for everyone but myself. I was living for my parents who just wanted me to go to medical school. And I was living the dream that my mom had for herself. I was also in a relationship with my ex boyfriend for about six years at this time. And I finally, it just clicked because I just knew that the love and the passion wasn't quite there anymore. And we were just essentially roommates and together completely out of comfort. And I felt like since I've already been with him for six, almost seven years, that this is the man I'm going to marry, this is the man I'm going to have kids with. And that is that as well as I was at that time in my life living in Seattle, Washington, which is where my parents moved me to in high school. And I was craving back to come back to Los Angeles, because Los Angeles has always been my home. And I was just craving the sunshine. I don't know if you've ever been to Seattle, but the sun comes out except for summertime. And I recognized that I was in a relationship that I didn't want to be in. I was living in a location that I didn't want to live in. And I was on the path to a career that wasn't for me. It wasn't what I was passionate about. And I remember writing down, after asking that question to myself so many times, I remember writing down, I am living for everyone but myself.
Wow.
And that was the game changer. And I just knew that if I don't act in that moment, if I don't act that weekend, if I don't take action right then and there, then I'm just going to stay on this path. And I felt like for the first time, I was on this fork in the road where one direction is just doing the things that I was doing for the people that I was doing it for, and the other path was figuring out what I wanted.
So it was really like an extreme case of people pleasing, really. And if someone had said, are you a people pleaser? You may not have recognized it. And I feel like that's the term. That's really what that was.
You know, I never even thought about it that way, but it 100% is. I was a class a people pleaser. And for the first time ever, I now know and I now truly believe that that was my intuition, my soul calling to, you know, forcing itself through me to answer that question.
And how did you let go when you. You're thinking, that's a really, really amazing question. And I. In fact, I want every listener that is dealing with people pleasing coming up to ask themselves, who are you? How did you break yourself away from thinking it's selfish to live for yourself? Because that's a story that I would think would immediately come up for others. Well, oh, well, okay. But I shouldn't live for myself. Did you have that conversation at all, or Was it clear?
100%. And this was so unlike me to go home from the event and tell my parents I'm not going to medical school to break up with my ex. Well, now ex of six years, and to tell my parents that I'm moving to Los Angeles and that's where I'm going to chase my dreams. It was so unlike me. And I think it was me hitting this threshold of unhappiness and me hitting the threshold of not being fulfilled. And I just knew, obviously, by this time that I made this decision. I have four days of Tony Robbins literally screaming in my ear to take action. So I think it was because all of a sudden, I've built enough confidence and enough faith in myself in those four days where I. I just went for it for the first time in my life, and I decided to see what would happen if I went for it. And I remember distinctively, I was 22 at the time. And I remember distinctively saying, catherine, it's better to figure this out at 22 than at 62. Oh, yeah, because time is only going to pass, right? Time is only passing. And so if I don't act now, like, when will I ever act? And after that weekend, I'm decided to. There's so many changes that I made, right? And I decided to move to la, and I did move to la, but I ended up moving on my grandma's couch because I realized that I can't afford Los Angeles friend. And this is a dream that I'm chasing that is so much bigger than I can see it right now. And I remember literally being on my grandma's couch and feeling, like, so lost. Like, what did I just do? Like, why did I leave this pretty comfortable life that I was just living? I had my parents support, I had a man I can rely on and a place to live, and what the f did I just do, Gary? It was so terrifying. And I just knew that there was a calling that I had. And around this time, I also had a fitness business. So I started, you know, in the MLM Beachbody in my junior year of college. This was really something that initially fueled my entrepreneurial fire that I didn't know that was there before. And it really was the catalyst behind me rethinking what I'm supposed to be doing with my life. Because I felt this passion for fitness, I felt this passion for mindset, I felt this passion for inspiring people and helping people. And then when I would go to school and go to my classes and learn about the human body and learn about my degrees in biology, so, honest to God, like, what we focused on in our classes were, like, how they're born and how the cells are, you know, are made and, like, all about plants and flowers. And I'm like, there is zero passion in this. I'm hating this. Like, I'm just looking forward to going home and working on my business. I'm looking forward to going home and listening to a podcast or listening to a personal development book. Like, what is going on here? And I just knew deep in my heart somewhere that I. This. This obsession wasn't just an obsession, that this is passions and I'm supposed to be doing something with it. I just didn't know exactly what it was. And that led me out of nowhere around the time when I moved to Los Angeles onto my grandma's couch to create an Instagram account by the name of manifestation.
Babe, okay, but wait, hold on. Before you get in that, because I'm going to have a million questions here. And I'm dying to hear this whole story.
Of course.
How did you did. How were you people in your life reacting to you about all of this? Because, like, so here you're stepping out, living for yourself, and you're taking these big risks. Did you have people encouraging that or do you have people saying you're crazy? What was happening there?
Oh, my God. Absolutely crazy.
Okay.
Like insane. And I had no support from my parents whatsoever. I actually recorded a Gold cast video not too long ago. And in that video, I share really what my parents were saying to my. To me, to my face about how I'll never be successful. And at one time, my mom actually said, kathryn, the most you're going to achieve if you don't go to medical school is you're going to be a janitor. Wow. I just couldn't believe it. I was so hurt. And me and my mom have such a great relationship today. And I know that she was just using every scare tactic in the book. Right. Because she loved me and she was so concerned for me. And she really.
That's all she knew how to do.
Exactly. She was doing the best she could with the resources that she had. And I was telling these stories of the stuff that they were. The stuff that my parents were telling me inside the Gold Cast video. And I was so terrified of my parents seeing that video. And it's so funny because they watched and they're like, catherine, all of it is true. We had no idea where you would go. And we're so, like, amazed by you. But at that moment in time, like, you're. You're right. Like, we did not treat you well whatsoever.
How do you tell somebody to navigate that spot? Because there's a lot of people listening right now that they have that sense of calling to, okay, I need to live for me. I need. I'm people pleasing. I need to break through this. But they have the no support system. So how did you navigate that? Because it's so challenging not to get sucked back into that.
Yeah, it was one of the toughest things that I've ever done. And I remember declaring it like, in. In the midst of all of it, I remember always telling myself, and you really have to be careful with what you tell yourself in those moments and in the hardest of of times. And I just remember telling myself, like, one day I will be able to help people in this position. One day I will make this my greatest success story. That's what I was telling on my grandma's couch. That's what I was telling before I even made the move to Los Angeles, when I would literally hide in my bedroom with my laptop and spend most of my time literally in tears because I was so terrified. I was still living at home with my parents. My parents just didn't want to talk to me. They wanted nothing to do with me. It was so, so hard. And so I really also dove spirituality at that time. That's when I really got in touch with spirituality. I really started digging into more Law of Attraction stuff, more stuff around manifestation. I dug into Dr. Wayne Dyer, more Tony Robbins stuff, of course, Abraham Hicks. I just kept my focus by focusing on or consuming the content that I really needed to consume or. Or tell myself what I really needed to tell myself. I had vision boards. I had boards with affirmations, boards of, like, my favorite quotes. I would constantly be reading books to help me stay that positive mindset. I was doing whatever I could do in my power because I just knew that, you know, either I could raise myself up here, bring everyone with me, or I could allow everyone who's down here being a negative Nancy and lower myself to their vibration. I knew that by all of us lowering our vibration and just judging each other and being angry with one another and not believing in each other, nothing good comes out of here. But if we all raise ourselves together by one of us being the trailblazer or leader. And I knew in that moment too as well, from, like, reading tons of books, that I was probably a trailblazer and a leader in my family. And that's why nobody understood what I was doing. But one day, I knew that I would open up their dreams for them because I would show them what's possible outside of the box of what's normal and support society.
This is so good. I'm hearing so many little lessons in here. But so if I'm hearing you correctly, like, you really fully dove into being a student of this. Like, you didn't know how. You didn't know what you were going to create. You didn't know any of that, but you dove into being a student and being committed to that. Did you have to stop your mind from going to the how and that? Like, because, like, there is the. Like, we gotta pay our bills, we.
Gotta get off the couch.
When those things were coming up, were you just, I've gotta. I've gotta learn, I've gotta study, or did you fight the how and where? How were you earning money right then? And then I'M gonna get back to the Instagram page you started.
Yeah, so, okay. So it all happened around that time on my grandma's couch when I was still with Beachbody. But around that time, I just, I wasn't passionate. I kept learning about, like, what, what makes me, what brings me passionate and what really depletes my energy. And I was tired of helping people with fitness. Like, I was tired of having people ask me what do I need to eat and how many sit ups should I do? And oh my God, I ate a chocolate bar.
This is my life, Katherine. Thank you. Yeah, that's my Life. That's like 99% of the questions that I get, but go on.
What I love is that you're doing this podcast. Yeah, thank you. That's, that's, that's like the window. That was the window that I had manifestation, babe, was my window. I just didn't know that it would be a full fledged business at that time and to make money, because I had literally none. My Beachbody business started dwindling because I lost passion for it. I didn't want to do it anymore. And I was like, oh, my God. But I'm also starting this Instagram account. I don't know what it is. I don't know where it's leading me to. I really used it as a place for me to just document my journey and my story, things that inspire me and my teachings and the lessons that I'm learning. And it was really just like my own little inspirational. Yeah. But to make money, I had to let go of my ego and go from being an entrepreneur to working for someone else.
Oh, okay.
Just for one year, I made this commitment to myself that I would go find a 9 to 5 job.
Okay.
Do my 9 to 5. Make it as mindless as possible. I was an assistant, a receptionist at a medical office. It was actually my mom's best friend, friend's company. And I'm so grateful I had that connection because she understood that I'm leaving in a year, and I really was there just to make money to fund.
You want to show up like 9 to 5 and be done?
Yeah, exactly, exactly. And so I committed myself to showing up to my education. So first and foremost, I, like, started buying every book in the world, every course in the world. I started to, as much as I could, as much as I could set aside out of my resources, aside from paying for my car, for my groceries, all that stuff, like, anything that I had excess, and as much as I could, I would keep reinvesting it into this, this, this learning about myself and learning about my. And figuring out what I wanted to do. And over time, it started to make sense. Over time, I realized that I am supposed to be doing something with manifestation, babe. Because if I'm dedicating this much time to it, there has to be something in here. And so from then my education SW to how do I build a website? How do I make, like, how do I make these things? How do I. How do I market? How do I. How do I grow it? And thankfully I had some knowledge from my beachbody business. Yeah, really different because all of a sudden I don't have any. Anyone to rely on. I'm doing customer service, I'm doing it. I remember Googling how to build a webinar and how to use this and how to. How to build an email newsletter. And like, I. This was all so new to me. But over time, as I was learning how to build a business and as I was evolving, my sharing my story and sharing the cool things that I manifested. Like I would share when I find 20 bucks on the ground randomly, or I would share when my boss decided to randomly.
On the Instagram page. Yeah, Instagram page. At the time when you started that, you were so you had let go of the beachbody thing or did you not let it go? I don't even know. Did you just kind of. Do you have to unattach yourself to that?
I let go the day I got hired.
Okay, so you let go of that. You started a 9 to 5 job. You start this account now, on this account, were you real with people? Like, hey, I'm working, but I'm going to be working on manifesting, you know, manifesting stuff like what, how did you, what were you telling them? Were you trying to act like an expert about it or were you really just walking the walk on that page?
I was really just sharing the stuff that inspired me and the stuff that I was learning. There was a lot of quotes, a lot of stuff that came from books, and I would. I just started sharing even the smallest of things. So I wasn't telling people, like, hey, I, you know, my name's Catherine, I work a 9 to 5 job, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, I wasn't really telling them that because I didn't know. I didn't know that that vulnerability was so share now. It was more just like little successes here and there or teaching people how to meditate or teaching people, or sharing things that inspire me, or sharing quotes or sharing little.
And so you would like, learn Something from Abraham Hinks. You'd be like, oh, this is interesting. I learned this today, so I love that too, because I want people to hear that doesn't have to be your own content. You're just sharing what you're learning.
Exactly, exactly. And I was just sharing how I was applying it to my life and the changes that I was making. And then over time, as I was making the law of attraction work for me in my business and in my life and in my relationship, then over time, I mean, my life is getting better and I'm sharing more and more and more of the stuff. And over time, I develop my own frameworks and I develop my own understanding. And there's so much that I learned purely from experience that I could have never learned from someone else or from a book. And over time, people would ask me to coach them because they're like, catherine, you're so inspirational. Like, you've helped me so much with your Instagram. Can you do a one on one session with me? And I'm like, what's a one on one session? What's a coach? What's going on right now? You know? And over time, I'd have people ask me, how'd you build that course? Or how did you do this or how did you do that? And as people would ask me questions, I would just create for them. I would create what I knew, but for them. And over time, you know, three years later, that turned into a multiple seven figure business.
Oh, my gosh. Okay, I got a million questions now, so they're gonna start coming out. Okay, first question as you start getting. Because I know, I want you to explain what, how you define law of attraction. Because I know there's a lot of misleading stuff around that, how you define that. And then what about the evidence? When something would come up that went against it, like, so let's say you're thinking, I'm abundant. I'm whatever you were thinking. And then something happened that was like the opposite of that. How did you keep yourself in the space of attracting what's possible versus going to the evidence and being in the comfort zone of what doesn't work? Those are my two first questions, okay?
And there's a million ways I can answer it. But first one is, for me, manifestation is like using the law of attraction. But the definition of manifestation to me is the phenomenon that occurs when something that was once a part of your imagination becomes actualized into your physical reality. So it's using your mind to create your literal physical reality of the Things that you can, can see, touch, smell, taste, feel. And what was your second question?
Second question is so let's say because I know there's someone listening, going, I'm a wealth magnet, I'm abundant, I'm. They're all these, they're in the vision, they're in the passion but then you know, they can't pay their bills or they just have another hardship or they're getting sued like all this stuff is just happening and they, they keep getting pulled into that because we find evidence for whatever it is we're looking for right so now. But they're getting evidence about things not working for them. So like they're trying to manifest and trying to live in this place of possibility. But something happens, which I'm sure it did to you, where you start getting the self doubt like oh maybe it works for other people, it's just not going to work for me. How did you deal with that when you had a setback or something wasn't going quick enough. What was the discussion you had with yourself? How did you keep in that place of possibility?
Yeah, so the discussion that I had with myself and what I now know for that to be like, I have a spiritual explanation for it. The first thing is I would always tell myself, Katherine, ignore your current reality and focus on what you can visualize and focus what you can imagine. I had to get delusional with it.
Ignore your current reality.
Okay, yeah, I knew is delusional thinking and I knew that no great achievement came out of conventional thinking. Like no great creativity or idea or mind blowing change in the world came from conventional thinking. So you have to go outside of the box and you really need to get a little delusional with it. Tell yourself that one day whatever's inside of your mind, whatever's inside of your imagination will catch up to your reality or your reality will catch up to it. I had to do an experiment. So how I proved to myself that Law of Attraction was absolutely real. Even though I was living on my grandma's couch at the time and working 9 to 5 job and literally nothing was going my way. In the beginning I had to do a 12 month experiment and I had to turn it into a game. And this idea came from one night me scrolling on Instagram and I moved past a Tony Robbins quote and the Tony Robbins quote was live as though your prayers were already answered. And I just got stuck on it and I looked at it for about, I don't know, a couple minutes and I just couldn't get it out of my head. It was so profound. And I remember being like, wow, what a way to live, first of all. Second of all, what if I actually were to live this way? That everything that I was praying for, everything that I wanted to manifest was already inevitable? What if my success was already inevitable? And I created an affirmation for myself that day when I decided to play a game, that for the next 12 months of my life, I would live my life as though the law of attraction was already 100% real and my success was already inevitable, and I was already on the right path, and that was the blinders that I had to put on. And I told myself that if the game doesn't work and this is completely stupid and it's not working, and look, look how much isn't already working in your life. Whatever, what is the worst thing that could happen? The worst thing that could happen is that I'm living on my grandma's couch again, which I am already being the worst. And if the game ended up working, if I really did manifest everything that I wrote down that night, like I wrote down exactly the kind of travel that I wanted to do, where I wanted to live, the kind of the relationship I wanted to have, how much money I wanted to earn, if the game actually worked and I manifested at these things, then guess what? I can just keep playing the game forever and ever and ever. And I just committed one year of my life to just prove to myself absolutely that all of this is just and to focus on what is important. And over time, unwanted things still show up in my life. And a saying that I have for my students is, polarity creates clarity. You will always get what you don't want so that you can get even clearer on what you do want.
That's a good one.
There's actually. There's actually more than just the Law of Attraction when it comes to manifestation. And something that I teach is the 12 universal laws of manifestation. And I intuitively picked this up until I finally found other teachers who taught this and other people talked about it, I intuitively could always sense that there's not just one law, Law of attraction, because otherwise it would happen so literally and so quickly. We would think of a pink elephant, and a pink elephant would immediately show up in our reality. But it just doesn't work that way, right? In the human, like, 3D physical world, it just doesn't work that way. So there must be other forces that are assisting and working with the Law of Attraction in creating our reality. And over time, I learned the 12 laws. And one of the laws is actually law of polarity. And it states exactly that. Sometimes when we commit ourselves to the work and we commit ourselves to our vision, the universe will actually bring up the opposite in front of us to see just how committed we are to our vision.
Okay, I get chills listening to you there because that is my life. I get that that is. And I agree with you too. I'm super aligned that there's always a lesson in that. It's always testing your commitment to the work.
And I honestly don't even like the word test because I see the universe as this force of unconditional love. And I see it as, as putting us through a training, making us stronger. It is like a loving parent teaching us a lesson rather than being like, ooh, let me just test you today. And so I just, I recognize that it's always a training. It's always a training and focus. It's always happening for us because if, because we think that this is our ultimate vision, but the universe is always like, you know what? There's actually something better. And I need you to get clear on that now. And so I will show you what you don't want so that you can absolutely set new standard and promise yourself that you'll never create this again and you'll only have the highest ultimate vision for yourself.
Okay, I have a question here. So if somebody's listening right now, because I know this is coming up, because I've been there and I know somebody listening is wanting to ask this. So let's say really, there's no money, that right now they have no money. They're in their mind, they've been telling themselves, I have no money, I can't pay the bills, I'm struggling. It's a heavy. And you get it, you've been there. Financial stress can be heavy on people. So using the example you just said, if you're going to commit, like I'm going to give it a year, I'm going to think of what's possible. I'm going to get in the vision of it. I'm going to all this stuff. How do you stay there when the reality is you can't pay your bill? Like, that's what I want to understand. Because you. If you're going to act as if success is inevitable and it's already happening, do you put yourself further in debt while that's happening? Like how, what. There is a line with the black and white facts too.
Yes.
What do you tell that person?
So many great questions. So let me share my three step manifestation process to answer that question. Okay. And then I have another answer to as well. So my three step manifestation process is, number one, to define what you want. And this can be in all areas of your life at once. This can be in one area at a time. It just doesn't matter. It can be a specific thing or a specific business goal or whatever it is. It can be money. Step number two is to be the version of yourself who has already manifested that thing or that reality. Okay. And by being, it's not doing, it's not having. It is being. It is, who must I be in order to attract something like this? So you're essentially building a blueprint to where it's not just you wanting Prada shoes and literally not having the money for it and going out to the store and buying it anyway on a credit card and going into debt. That's like backwards thinking. And I'm like law of attraction people, when they law of attraction experts and especially newbies, like when they hear that or they think, act as if they think literally go spend money that you don't have and that actually. Yeah, yeah. And that lowers their vibration and puts them further into debt. And how empowered do you feel when you're now another negative 1000? You don't know. There's no good energy coming out of that. So it's backwards thinking. And so being is not just by actually going out and buying the Prada shoes. It's asking the version of myself who wears Prada shoes, what does she like? How does she dress, how does she think, what are her beliefs? How does she think of herself? What is her self worth? Like, is she confident? Is she certain? Is she going after her dreams, other areas of life? You can map this out as big as you want. And I really do. I get down to the detail of like, okay, the version of myself who's already, for instance, for me, I want to become an eight figure entrepreneur. That's my next business goal. I'm going to make $10 million a year. And I was, I always ask myself that 10 million dollar version of Catherine Zinkina. What time does she wake up in the morning?
Yeah, well, she flies to her private jet to pick up Natalie every day. Me, I can tell you, of course.
And like, and like. But it's like, what does she need to believe? She needs to believe that it's possible. I mean, you can dissect this as far as you want to go. And then step number three is to literally pick one thing from that blueprint that you're not yet being or you're not yet embodying and go and embody that today. So when it comes to like literally not having the money, right? Like when I was on my grandma's couch, I literally had no, I didn't have money, but I was working on my wealth consciousness, right? So I just reminded myself that the version of myself that already has the money, whatever X amount of dollars it is, she is feeling very certain, she's feeling very grateful, she is feeling successful. And I really tapped into the feelings and I asked myself, like, what in my current reality can I do or focus on that brings me those feelings? And I remember really, you know, stripping everything down and just being like, wow, I'm so grateful that I have. I have a roof to sleep under right now. I'm so grateful that I even have a job. I'm so grateful that I have access to the Internet to where I can learn how to create more money or I can learn how to sell something or I can learn. I'm so grateful for the books that I have access to. I'm so grateful for the clothing that I'm wearing right now. And I just started to really feel through that. Because feeling is vibration and feeling is energy. And with the law of attraction, like attracts like. And so if you're spending a lot of your time really feeling the feelings of you, of when you are already going to reach your goal. So, like for instance, having X amount of dollars, how does that make you feel? If you choose to feel that way now, you can't hold two completely opposite feelings at once inside of your body, right? So you're going to. When you feel grateful, there's no room for fear, there's no room for worry, there's no room for stress. And that will only magnify more of those feelings, too. And through that energy, that's how you're going to become a vibrational match to your desires. And you're way more likely to take action when you're feeling good than when you're feeling like crap. Right?
Yeah. You know what's coming up for me really loud right now? And I love this is really a lot of a big, pivotal moment for me right now. So when there's financial stress, we get stressed, people get stressed. So when you're stressed, you are reacting different to your employees, you're acting different to your spouse, you're acting different to your children, you're acting different to your friends. So you're not being like you just said that person that wouldn't, that would have had all that right. So you're now not going to get the results in your relationship, your business, all these things, because you're coming at it with this place of stress and anger and all that. So is, am I hearing that correctly? So it's like by changing who you're being, you're going to be the person that's abundant, that has the success, has everything that you wanted. You're not going to be taking it out on everybody else. You're going to get different results from them too, 100%.
And you're going to put out more, much more positive energy and you're only going to attract much more positive energy because the law of attraction is working. So the more you choose to feel stressed about, the more stress you are attracting. And the more you choose to be grateful for or choose to see the good in, the more you're going to attract that. And that's really like the first stages of the law of attraction. It's not just you thinking about money and appearing it like this, it's at first you slowly building up to it. And the more certain and manifestation really is about being certain, okay, certain you are of where you are going, the faster it will happen. But all of us start really slowly and all of us have to get over that hump of just ignoring and not like ignoring like sticking your head in the sand. Because one of the things that I teach inside my rich babe academy is to face your finances is to face exactly how much you have is to get to know your current location. Because in any good GPS system, you need both. You need your current location and you need your destination. So it's not about burying your head in the sand. It's about understanding where you are, understanding where you're going and on the path between the two, you're putting your tunnel vision on and you're like any obstacle, any detour, anything that any pothole on my, on my road to my destination, I'm just gonna figure it out. I don't care that it's there. I'm gonna find my way, I'm gonna get around it. I have everything within me to create whatever it is that I want and I'm just gonna get there. And the more certain you are, the less detours you're gonna have.
So good. So good. Okay, I've got two things that I've seen you post about that I want to ask about because these are so amazing and I know this is not original what you did, but it's so amazing. And how you shared it. The first thing is the check. The check you wrote yourself. Can you take us through that? Because you've done it a few times, and this is so cool, you guys. I want her to tell the story, the checks, how that started, and what you just did recently with the check.
Yeah. So I've been learning about, you know, writing yourself check since I first discovered the Law of Attraction, and it never freaking worked for me, ever. And because I just didn't understand how to do it, I felt like, literally, it's supposed to happen overnight, And I was just such a new.
It doesn't happen overnight. Just wrote one for $100 million.
I'm just kidding. Can it? Can it, can it depends. But I remember the first time I reintroduced myself back to the checks because I learned about the law of attraction. I was 16 years old. It was like, a random moment when my hand. My friend handed me a book called the Secret, and it was in her house when I was 16 years old. We're in high school, and it was just completely random. And that's, like, the first time I ever heard of it. First time I fell in love with it. But I didn't really dive back in until that pivotal moment, like, right. Right around the Tony Robbins event. And so around that time, when I started Manifestation Babe, I decided to write myself a check for $10,000.
Okay.
And I just kept this $10,000 check behind my computer at work, in my office. And it took me about a year to manifest. And I look back now because I'm really good at manifesting money now. And I look at, like, what was the difference? Why did it take me a year to get to 10,000? And I realized that that 10,000amount was just a little too high for me at that time.
Okay.
And for anyone listening, you've probably heard, like, set huge dreams. Set big goals. Put a million dollars on the check. Yes. Because ultimately, you always want to be guiding yourself to your ultimate vision. But also what I teach inside my programs is called the ladder of believability, where you will only manifest what you believe you will manifest. And so if you've never seen $10,000 in a month, in a single month in your entire life before, then it's kind of hard to believe that. Right? So. So it's not that the 10,000 is impossible, because now I'm at this place in my business where it's like multiple six figures a month, so obviously 10,000 as possible. But it's just that if I Wrote a check at first for my first thousand dollars. In my business, I believe it would have manifested faster because I'm working with this ladder of first manifesting the thousand and then upping it to two, and then upping it to five, and then upping it to ten. And so I finally got this a year after I manifested my first 10,000. And I was like, whoa, wait a second, worked. I just had a 10k launch. I made 10k in a month. Because on my checks, what I actually do. And let me explain it. So I have this design that I made on Canva, and it literally says Manifestation Bay Bank. Before then, it was just, I think I printed it off the Internet. I think the secret TV has a bunch of checks they can also print off. But on those checks, I will always write down the amount that I want to manifest in a month. Month's time. So in the four section, you know, like, who the is for, what it is for, I write down for one month of money flow. So one month money flow, and I sign it as myself. And I will always date it. And this is the biggest mistake that I made my first time. I now always date it the day that I write the check. Because that is a reminder that the moment I write the check and the moment I decide to manifest this money energetically, it is already done.
So you write it the day that you're writing it, or you write the date that you want to manifest by. No, no, because one, you would write August 1st.
Yes, because time is a human construct. It's a human illusion. And so to the universe, anything can happen in any instant of time. And so when you put this pressure of time, when it comes to manifestation, you're going to be focusing more on the date and how long it takes, and you're focusing on what you want and who you must become to attract it. Got it. The important pie. And so now, after I learned that, and after I figured that out and after I tried it, I went from manifesting 10k a month to being like, okay, what's the next believable amount for me? And it's always not like, believable as in I'm certain of it, but it's believable in the sense that it pushes me just a tiny bit, but not so much that I get stressed out over it. Yeah. And so I will do. Then I did 15, and the next month I made 15k in the month. And then I was like, ooh, what's next? 22. That I made 22. And like, month after Month after month after month, all of a sudden I'm like, what If I made $100,000 in a month? And just was. I mean, no one in my family has ever seen money that much money, you know, most of them, you know, even in a year. And so I was just like, okay. And so I just kept following the process. I kept using my three step manifestation process. Like what would a six figure a month earner, how would she be, you know, think, what would she, what you do, et cetera, really embodying that version of myself. It went to 100,000. And then my most recent one that I manifested was 350,000 in a month. And the one that I currently have, and I always have it on my bedside table or on my refrigerator. We moved into apartment now where my refrigerator isn't magnetic so I can't put any magnets on it. And so it's by my bedside table. And now it's $500,000. Wow. I am certain that we're going to hit it within the next couple months.
Months.
And the thing is also that I wanted to mention is that I never put this pressure on myself that it has to be the next month. Okay. The less pressure I put on myself, the faster it happens because I remember putting the very first $350,000 check I ever wrote myself. It took me six months to jump from 250 to 350 because I put so much pressure on myself of like, oh, it has to keep going every single month. And the moment I was like, no, you need to let go. You need to surrender. Because part of the third step of the three step manifestation process that I shared that I forgot to mention is that it's crucial and important for you to let go of the how. So it's really just focusing on being and not focusing on how it's supposed to unfold because you'll never know how it's supposed to unfold.
So you wouldn't suggest like brainstorming a list of ways you could make it or any of that, because that goes into the how. Or do you still.
You could. I think what it really is is the energy of stress when it comes to the how. So if it brings you joy to brainstorm, you know, how you can make money or which programs you can launch that can bring that kind of money. If that brings you joy and genuine like exploration and curiosity, I think you can totally do that. But if it, if it brings you stress as in, oh my God, but I don't know how and no, I don't want to do that, but I feel like that's the only way to do this. And then you just, like, go on in this crazy chatter in your head. Then you're coming from that stressful energy, and so then you're just creating resistance to it.
I love this. Okay, that's. That makes sense. So. Because if it's stressful to, like, I don't know how, then that's not a good thing. But if you want to just brainstorm ideas. I love that. I love that, like, bringing up. Okay, that's amazing. Wow. This is so much good information. This is so good. This is so good. So what.
When?
Right now? Now, if you were to meet somebody at a party and they're like, what do you do? What do you say? I manifest thing. What do you say? How do you describe what you do?
I hate this question because most people who ask are people who don't understand this online world, don't understand the manifestation world, law of attraction world. Because when I meet other entrepreneurs in the online space, like our mastermind, it's just so easy to be like, oh, I'm a manifestation coach. And they're like, wow, really cool, awesome. And they just get it. They get that you can make money online as a coach. And. And most people who are at this level, they know how to manifest because they probably manifest their way to where they are. And so it's really, really easy. But it's always like those random people, like in the elevator or random dinner functions or family functions. And I honestly just say, I'm an online entrepreneur.
Yeah. You know what I just heard, though, when you were saying I'm a manifestation coach. What's cool is you mentioned earlier about the need for certainty and to be certain.
Certain.
You being a manifestation coach makes it certain that you have to live the work and you will have the work. It's that level of certainty. Just like me being in the fat loss space or aging in reverse space. I have to stay fit because if I don't, I'm not being certain. Right. So I love. It's that level of certainty that I believe it takes for people.
Yes, absolutely. And I made a post this morning, actually talking about magnetic leadership and how one of the best ways to lead people is not by teaching them, it's by showing them. And it's not just talking, but it's actually walking. And I've always pride myself in walking my walk because. Or walking my talk because integrity is one of my highest values. And say that I do something that I don't do. I am the worst liar in the world. So, first of all, that wouldn't even work for me. You could just screw it like crazy. And another thing is, it gives me that level of commitment because I'm like, ooh, if I am speaking on this today, am I living it? And if I'm not, I need to start right now because there's no way that I can allow these words to leave my mouth without me actually living it, experiencing it. And so, yeah, like, the law, everything that I talk about, everything I teach, the law of attraction, I have experienced it. And I think that not only does that give me a higher level of certainty in my business, but a higher level of certainty in, like, my life. Like, my actual personal manifestation goals, where I just know that, like, I live this. I've done it before, I can do it again, and I can keep proving it to myself over and over and over again and keep finding that evidence.
I love this. I love this. Okay, Catherine, before I ask people, ask you about all your amazing programs. I could talk to you for hours. I have, like a thousand questions. But I want people to look into your programs before I ask about that. I do have a question. I ask every single guest, and I'm curious your answer. If somebody's listening right now and they're in their own personal rock bottom. So whether it's financial, relationship, business, whatever it is, is if they are in that place of nothing's working, and you were going to tell them three things that they can do right now to start shifting and creating everything from nothing, what would you tell them?
Yeah, I would say, first of all, congratulations to listening to this podcast. Because. Because I think that the best place to start is the content that you're listening to. It's the voices that you are allowing into your world. It's the people who you're surrounding yourself with. And Jim Rohn said it first. Like, the average. You are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. And. And when I heard that, I was like, well, crap, I'm out of luck because I don't have friends who are successful. What am I going to do? My family doesn't approve of what I'm doing. What am I going to do? I realized, wait a second. It's not just your friends. It's not just the people that you physically surround yourself when you hang out, but it's actually the books that you read, it's the YouTube videos that you watch, it's the podcast you listen to. You can surround Yourself with really epic people on the Internet. And to start there just by hearing what's possible and like hearing these stories, you know, like you're listening to the right podcast. Because this is all about leveling up and starting from nothing. Like, congratulations, use this as proof that you can actually create whatever it is that you want. And that because if someone else is experiencing something by another law, the law of oneness, we are all one. We are all interconnected. What's possible for one soul is also possible for another. And I truly, truly believe that number two is really pay attention to your self talk. That is huge because most people don't recognize the difference between their egos and their higher selves. And the ego is the voice that's very negative, very safety focused, very risk averse. All of us are given an ego. I believe this spiritually. When we incarnate into the human body, we're all given a higher self and an ego. And the ego is here literally just to protect you. Like physical safety. Look both ways before you cross the street. Don't eat poison like stuff to keep you alive in the human body. And your higher self is here to be your guide. And so any thoughts that are loving, that are cheering you on, that just know that you were born to be successful, that your success is inevitable and the whole game of life is already rigged in your favor. That's like the truth of your heart. That's where your higher self lives. And really pay attention to those thoughts and stay focused on those thoughts and tell yourself affirmations that your higher self would tell you and anything about your ego, like those thoughts that you have of, you'll never be successful. You're not worth it, it can't work for you. That's just your ego protecting you. But your ego likes to meddle into preventing you or thinking that it's helping you create your dream life, which is a life of comfort, right? But it really isn't helping you. And a lot of people, they have egos that have gone out, out of control. And so really understanding the difference and choosing to focus on the thoughts of your higher self and telling yourself what your higher self would tell you, doing affirmation work. I love affirmation work. And one of my favorite affirmations is I'm a multimillionaire just for being my authentic self. That's like one of my most powerful affirmations in my business. Another one is money is an unlimited resource and it is always flowing my way. So that's another one that I have and Just like reminding yourself constantly over and over and over again, because repetition is the mother of all skill. And then number three is really something that helped me in my rock bottom moment, which is to just remind yourself that one day this is going to be your greatest story, and you're going to use this story to help so many people. And just knowing that and being able to plant that seed in your head and just project yourself into the future and just being like, wow, one day I'm going to laugh at this. One day I'm going to be on a podcast being interviewed. Shar, this story, that day will come, allow it to give you all the hope and the certainty in the world that you need, because you are only going through it because you are meant to help someone else go through it in the future.
So good. Katherine, do you ever have bad days? I mean, do you ever have a day where you are, like, questioning this, or does it ever come up and how do you shift yourself out of that? Because I'm assuming you're human.
Yeah, I am so. Oh, my God. So human. First of all, yes, I definitely have bad days. I definitely. I get angry, I get upset, I have negative thoughts. Like, I am just as human. And this is part of, you know, why I'm so passionate about doing this work, is because everything that I teach, like, I have gone through, right. Everything I help people with, I have gone through. And honestly, beforehand, I used to believe that if I had a bad day, I was attracting what I didn't want to. I was so afraid of feeling negative feelings. I was so. Or, you know. Yeah, that we give. Nothing has meaning except for the meaning that we give it. And so it's really feeling. It's just an emotion. It's just energy passing through you. But I was so petrified from, like, ever journaling on, like, what's bothering me, because I thought that, oh, I'm gonna write it down, and that's manifesting. The thing is, though, is that by holding onto something and never releasing it, you are holding onto it vibrationally. And even if the next day you suppress, let's say today, you suppress those negative emotions, you don't feel them. They're still in your. Your energy field, and so they are still actually attracting those negative things to you. But when you release it, when you just face it, you cry it out, you get angry, you hit a punching bag. Like, you just allow the emotions to process through you, and you let go of them, you're always going to keep that energy field very, very clear. And one of my favorite ways of keeping it clear as well is forgiveness work. And so if I'm having a bad day, I'll just forgive myself for having a bad day. I will just give myself grace for being a human. And the faster I get to that mindset, the faster I get to that realization that I can just allow myself to have a bad day and it's not going to ruin the rest of my life. Immediately I let that energy pass through because it's just energy. That's all that it is. And I feel immediately so much lighter and so much better. And then from that new clear space, I can then choose to focus on something that I want and something more empowering.
This is so good. I love all this. Okay, you have tell us a little bit about your programs because I am so excited to go through them and I don't know which one to start with or can you speak like, how can people learn more? What program do they start with? I know there's some that you have ongoing and some that are a few times a year. Can you speak into that?
Yes. So I have my two main academies. One of them is Manifestation Babe Academy. The other one is Rich Babe Academy and Manifestation Babe Academy is my all encompassing, like if you want to know manifestation to the very, very detail and get a whole like metaphysical crash course in how the universe works and use law of attract or all 12 laws, but specifically law of attraction and manifestation to create your dream life in all areas of life. That's what MBA is for Manifestation. Then Rich Babe Academy is like for the people that really want to dive into money mindset. And I recommend it for all kinds of people, but especially entrepreneurs. Like I really am passionate about helping the entrepreneur who really wants to scale to seven figures, eight figures and it's really diving deeply because I don't have that much room for just money and mba. So I created a whole program for money so that you really dive into your relationship with money and you can really heal that relationship and see money as nothing more than this tool that you can use to increase your opportunities, to increase your choices, to enhance, you know, enhance who you already are, to be able to help more people. It really is just a tool. And so it's a six week course really diving into why you have the subconscious beliefs around money that you do and how to change them. I love integrating hypnosis and meditation and all of those change work modalities into all of my academies. I also have like mini courses where I have a like tapping into massive wealth which is using emotional Freedom technique or also known as tapping. Yeah Energy Meridian points and working through, you know, common limiting beliefs, fears around money. I also have a 12 universal laws crash course. So I talked about the 12 universal laws but it's honestly like a whole podcast on its own. So I have a whole course for a master class.
Where should people start? Where do you want them to start?
I really would encourage them to start either in Rich Babe Academy or Manifestation. They're very complimentary. They're not like one. It doesn't matter which one you start with but highly recommend books and can.
They find both on your website? How do they. Okay, yes.
Manifestationbabe.com is like the hub.
Okay.
I also have a podcast called Manifestation Babe and then I love hanging out on Instagram and I'd love to hear from you guys. It's at Manifestation Babe as well.
