Toning workouts. Yeah, there's no such thing. I'll say toning as someone who, you know, when you go to the doctor and they are testing your reflexes, right? That's an appropriate use of the word tone. Tone is how we categorize your nervous system. So you either have hypertonic, which is too much of a response, hypotonic, which is too little of a response, atonia, which is not a response at all. So these are, these are proper comments around nervous system. What we do see is that the fitness industry has hijacked this word. Yeah, to basically mean like a little bit of muscle, but not too much because we don't want to be bulky. We want long, lean, toned muscles, right? So I understand when people say I want to be toned, but if you want to be toned, what you need to be doing is resistance training with a lens to progressive overload. Like, there's no difference between men and women in terms of how muscles grow. Like, men don't bulk and women tone. Men and women grow muscle. The end, period. It's the same mechanism. There's no difference.
