109: Killing False Assumed Truths

A motivational talk about false assumed truths: the negative internal voices that convince you that you can't do something. The speaker shows how to recognize these thoughts, challenge them, and replace them with affirmations that actually change your results.
Welcome to Fit for your Mind Friday, where I share an insight from me to you. When someone asks me what I do for a living, I typically will say, I kill fat for a living. Now automatically. Especially because they've known me from maybe the fitness field or maybe because they think I look fit, they go with, oh, she kills the fat on our bodies now. Yes, I absolutely can help with that. But here's the bigger thing that I kill every day. I kill what I call false assumed truths. The fat. Now, why is this relevant and why is this important? Because those false assumed truths, those are the things that are holding all of us back from achieving amazing results. Those false assumed truths are those beliefs that we've been holding on to, those stories we've been telling ourselves that are creating a glass ceiling that stop us from leveling up and creating everything that we want and deserve. Do you have that voice in your head? I did for years. I'm not smart enough, I'm not attractive enough. I'm not meant to have money. Things like that are for other people. Nothing works out for me. I'll never be successful. Oh my gosh. You all. That's the voice I fought for years. Do you fight that voice? You see that voice inside our head that repeats in that loop? That voice that we keep hearing? Did you know that we have 60,000 thoughts a day? And that voice, those false assumed truths, are overtaking that. We're thinking we need to do more, get more done. We're focusing on tasks. But what about that voice inside our head? Most of those voices inside our head that are telling us these things, those false assumed truths, they are meaner than anything we would ever say to somebody else. We would never even say those things to people that we don't like. But we're replaying it over and over and over again in our heads. And those thoughts, you know what? They become reality when you look in the mirror and you say, I'm fat, I'm gross. Or you're repeating to yourself, I'm an idiot, I'm too old, I'm too lazy, I'm broke, I can't. Those become reality cheapers. We've got to cut that voice off. That dang voice, it overshadows who you really are. How do you kill that voice? How do you get rid of that false assumed truth? How do you become that fat killer? Well, you recognize it first. You recognize it. You own it. You say, I hear you and you tell it to stuff it. But you got to catch it as it happens and choose not to listen to it, start to notice it and start to tell yourself the opposite. You see the only difference between who you are right now and who you want to be are the thoughts and actions that you're going to take. And recognizing those thoughts is what's going to allow you to change those actions. And that's what changes, results. So start noticing those thoughts. Rewrite them. Create a new truth. Start to say, I'm becoming the type of person who is strong. I'm becoming the type of person who makes money. I'm becoming the type of person who's healthy. I'm becoming the type of person who is fit. I'm becoming the type of person who's smart, successful, powerful. I'm becoming the type of person who knows that's possible. Think these things, say them until you become them. This is critical if you want to level up your life. If you want to truly create everything from nothing, a big step is identifying and shutting down those false assumed truths.
