A speaker challenges the idea that women in their 40s and 50s are past their prime, arguing instead that you can age in reverse with the right mindset. She pushes back against false assumptions society makes about getting older and invites you to join a community built around this challenge.
Welcome to Fit for your Mind Friday where I share an insight from me to you. Today's episode I want to share my thoughts about. Drumroll, please. Aging. Why am I talking about aging? Because it's real and it is a heavy false assumed truth for people. Now if you don't know what false assumed truths are, it's something I've shared on past podcasts, but just a quick synopsis of that is a false assumed truth. Truth is anytime we believe something to be truth because someone told us and we've believed it ever since. So it could be from media, could be from a doctor, it could be from a friend, it could be from parents, it could be some. It's anything that we believe to be true just because we heard it. And we then start creating and making that a reality around us. Those are false assumed truths and I want to talk about them specifically when it comes to aging today. And as I share this episode, I'm 48 year old, 50 female, and this is relative to men and females. But I'm primarily talking to females on this episode here for this particular topic. So I want to really speak into this because so many times women, especially in that middle age area, we are hearing this overwhelming sense of being too old and it's too late. It's just, it's part of media. And we get it from media, we get it from friends, we even get it from doctors. Think about the doctors telling us to accept slowing metabolism, alcoholism, raging hormones, endless age related issues that we must begin to embrace. You know, so many times we hear you're going to gain weight because of your age or you know, your skin's going to change because of your age. And we hear this and we take it on and it becomes, becomes a truth to us and our culture. It has really spoken that we are, you know, as we hit middle age, that we're disposable or even too old to love and that we ought to just deal with it because the next generation is moving on. Do you know what I'm talking about here? You can see it on social media, you can see it in general mainstream media, you see it in magazines, you see it in Hollywood, you see it everywhere where youth is what is embraced. It's like the older just sort of expected to go away. And I just want to hear, I want to share this and have you hear me loud and clear that I find this to be baloney. It's bull, it's ridiculous. It doesn't have to be truth. It is all a false assumed truth. So we women, 40s, 50s and beyond, we're some of the most radiant, beautiful, captivating, bold, lovable, intelligent, powerful, driven, my gosh, invigorated, magnificent people on the planet. And we make up a huge part of the population. Should every woman over the age of 22 resign herself to aging downhill? No, I don't think so. Just a few things. I want to point out that sex is better at our age, we can look better at our age, we can absolutely feel better at our age. And life, life is better at our age. Think about it. At this age, you have more money, you have more confidence, more self acceptance and we should be having more fun and freedom because we know how to ask for what we want now, right? So I want to call out this idea of being too old and too late and I want to call you into considering taking on being yourself, yourself and stepping into the ideas of possibility, of being more active again, being pain free, being vibrant, even wild, and even being naturally beautiful. Now side note on that, naturally beautiful, even if we need a little bit of help on that natural side of things. But we want to look natural, right? But there is that possibility that this second half of your life could be the best part of your life. I want you to take on and consider that you can literally give the finger to aging gracefully and you can actually start to age in reverse. Now when I say age in reverse, I don't mean that you're going to literally become 20s, you know, you're old again. I don't know that you want to be that. And I'm not even saying that you want to look like you're 20 again. That's not what this is about. But if you think of a child, you think of kids and their sense of confidence and wonder and play and presence and thriving and all things possible. It's like it's almost wasted on the youth, right? They have it then and then twenties and thirties and realities hit and somehow we get lost in to do lists and people pleasing and others agendas and others ideas for us. And then we start aging and we start noticing it and we start blaming it on the hormones and the metabolism and all these things when what if it's right under our nose? What if it's just about embracing the idea of aging in reverse? What if it's about taking on how we were as a kid, about being more present, about connecting more, about thriving and truly living. What if we took that on? So ladies, if you're hearing me on this, let's walk into rooms and own them. Let's turn heads as we walk down streets. Let's look in the mirror and start to love what we see. This is all possible, but we have to start saying that we're not going to buy into these false assumed truths, that we're going to stand for a greater possibility. Now, I want to let you all know that on Monday I am going to be sharing an episode where I'm being interviewed by a good friend of mine really deep into this topic of aging in reverse and why I created the first and largest community online virtual community of the woman that wants to age in reverse. I'm going to be sharing a lot more about that, but for now I want you to go to www.ageinreverse.me if this speaks to you. Www.ageinreverse me if the speaker speaks to you and get your name on there and jump in and do this 10 day dive with me. I've got a dive challenge there to help you start seeing what these false assumed truths are that are holding you back and making you feel stuck and like you're too old. So we can start to shift that.
