Hi, I'm Natalie Jill, fat loss expert turned lifestyle and high performance coach. Welcome to Listen up the podcast. On this podcast, I do what I do best. Taking complicated information that is relevant to us now and breaking it down simply with actionable steps you can implement to level up your life. I also regularly interview some of the most inspiring and courageous men and women on the planet who at their worst, learned how to achieve success greater than anything they ever, ever dreamed possible. Creating everything from nothing. If you are new here, I encourage you to go back and listen from episode one, when this podcast was previously called Leveling up for the Full Transformative Experience. The other day on Instagram, I had done a post on there and it was a video and it showed me in workout clothes and I looked somewhat fit. And I had a comment, I had a lot of comments on there, but I had a comment from one person in particular that really stood out to me. He wrote, wow, yeah, I would be super fit too, if I was rich and if I could afford trainers and if I could afford nutritionists and if I had all these things, it didn't have to work. That might not have been the exact words, but somewhere along those lines, and what was so interesting about that is it made me really think about how people's minds go in one or two directions when they see something they want. This really applies to anything, not just health and fitness. It applies to finances, it applies to relationships, somebody living in a house that you want, driving a car that you want, having the job that you would like. People go to one of two things. They either go to, wow, that's amazing. How can I make that happen for me too? And they get curious. But more people unfortunately go too. Well, they have that because. And start to create a story around why somebody has something you want because of an advantage, without even knowing the story, without even knowing the backstory of how somebody has that thing that you think you want. Why is that? I wanted to bring this topic up today because we can choose this. When you look at something from possibility and curiosity and start asking questions like, how could I do that? I wonder how they did it? How can I make that happen for me? And you start following what they might have done to get there, that opens up all kinds of possibilities. But when we automatically assume something about people and say, well, they have that because or they must live a privileged life or that's because of this, we literally shut down the opportunity of us having that possibility in our lives because we're looking at it from a place of lack of a place of haves and have nots. When the truth of the matter is success always leaves clues. No matter who you're looking at, no matter what they have, whatever their experience, whatever they're driving, living in, living like, working with, doing whatever they look like, they probably have a story as to how they got there and likely are open to sharing even how they did the steps. But when you automatically look at things as the lens, through the lens of lack through why somebody has something and you can't, you are shutting down the possibility for yourself. So the reason for this message today was not to blast the person that left that comment on my Instagram. In fact, I wasn't even triggered or upset by him. I used it as a teaching point. It wasn't to shame him. I didn't even show his name when I shared this again in my Instagram stories that day, but to show the point that we look at things from two different lenses and you at any time can choose which lens you're going to look at things through. So I share this with you right now because if there's something in your life that you want, something that you don't currently have, that you would like to experience or have or be part of, start changing that lens you're looking at things through. Instead of the judgment and the negativity and assuming that somebody has a leg up on you, look at it with wonder and possibility and start asking the questions how when we live through possibility versus circumstance and judgment, everything opens up for us.
