Hi, guys. Natalie, Jill, we're doing five best ab exercises today. Are you ready? We've got five of them, all helping us with our journey to become happy, healthy, and fit. So grab your mat, get some water, have a towel, and let's get started. We're going to start with a plank. Planks are my favorite. Up in a plank position here on your forearms. And I always start with planks. I always include planks, at least, because they are the best possible exercise for core strength and for overall functional fitness. So with a plank holding it here, you always want to make sure you are tucking your pelvis under. You're not sinking here. And arching your back when you do that, that's when you create lower back problems. So squeezing those glutes. Everything is tight. Really feeling it in those abs. Do you feel it? Hold it. See, I'm distracting you with my talking, too. Just hold it. Keep going. You want to work up to doing about a minute of these. And you can always rock back and forth, take your mind off it. Just holding it here. Just don't cave down. Always holding it here. It's funny because a lot of people will say, planks hurt my back, they hurt my shoulders, they hurt something. When it's hurting the wrong places, it's because you're not in the right form. When you've got it in the right form, it should feel really good on your lower back, and you should not feel a lot of pressure other places. How we doing? Okay, mini break. Put your knee down for a minute. Breathe it out. We're gonna go back to a plank, but we're gonna involve our knees to our elbows. Are you scared? Bring it back up. Watch me. First, I'm gonna bring my knee out like this. Ready? Let's go. Side, side. Here's the trick here. While you're doing this, you gotta remember to breathe, and you also have to remember to stay in that good plank position. You never want to sag. Keep going. If this is too hard, you can always come back to a plank here. Put your knee down for a minute, but otherwise stay with me. These are tough. Keep going. Few more. Take your mind off it. Think about something else. Last two. Good job. You're tough. Now, we're only doing five exercises, so you want to give it your all. During these, you're really going to feel that burn. So just get through it. We're going to go back down. Same position, same exercise we just did. But we're going to take our knee to the opposite elbow just a little bit more. Of a twist. Ready? Okay, let's go. It's going to look like this. Ready? Take it in. Good job. Breathe through it. Really contracting those abs. Feeling it. Always take a break in that plank. Otherwise, keep going. Push your knee down. Last one each side. Good job. Take a break. How you feeling? Good. These are tough. I know. See, it doesn't take a lot of these. Some people say, how many do I have to do? Do I have to count to a certain number? Do I have to do a certain amount of time? It's not about that. It's just making it intense for you. That was intense for me. So it doesn't take a lot. We're going to go back down. This time. We're taking it over to a side plank. Here's what a side plank looks like. Got your forearm here, legs are straight, and we're going to lift up here. The modification here is to bend that lower leg and lift up here. That's what makes it easier. Tough right here. Who's tough? You ready? Bring it up. Hold. Lift your arm here. To make it more advanced, you can lift a leg. This is where we're going, to the side plank here. And we're going to add a tuck under. Now, remember, if you need to modify. You can stay here. I'll modify it here because I'm getting tired right now. Keep your arm up. And then we're going to tuck it under and up through it. Really feeling that in those abs. Remember, advance here. Few more. Feeling it in those obliques, those abs. Last two. Good job. You did it. We gotta go to the other side, though. Ready? Take it over. Bring it up. Arm up. Get your comfort zone and do exactly what you did on the other side. So if you had your knee down, bring it down. And we're going to tuck under. Ready? Tuck under and up. Keep going. If you're not feeling this, you got to make sure you're up here. So you're really getting that twist. Last two. Good. You did it. Thank God, because I'm tired right now. Going into the last one of the five best ab exercises. These are walkouts, so watch me. First, we're going to start here, crouching down. We're going to walk all the way out as far as you can go, and then back. Ready? Come on, let's go. Walk it out. And reach. Reach. You're getting a little bit of a full body workout here, but concentrating on that core and those abs. Last one each. You did it. Good job, everyone. How are you feeling now? The thing about my ab workouts is they're functional. You're working more than just the abs. You're working that whole core, that whole center area, and you'll even feel it in your arms, your legs. You're using your whole body because with functional fitness, you're using your whole body. It's not about just isolating which creates injuries or can create create injuries. There you have it. Five best ab exercises. How did you like them? Comment below. Let me know if you did it. Let me know if it was challenging for you. Was it easy? And what do you want to see next? See you next time.
