This is a YouTube video titled "6 weeks post surgical distal bicep tear repair" containing a personal monologue from April 15, 2020, where the speaker describes their arm rehabilitation process after surgery, detailing scar appearance, brace removal, and specific physical therapy exercises. The content is a first-person update on recovery progress without multiple speakers or a conversation involving Natalie Jill.
So many of you have asked me what's going on with my arm and the rehab there. So I'm going to show you what's going on. So I took my brace off, which I've had on for six weeks, to show you what I'm doing for rehab and to show you what's happening with the scars. So first of all, here's what my scars are looking like right there by my elbow and up on my bicep where they reattached it, it was a distal tear, so they had to reattach it down by my elbow. So I take it off right now, the brace off to shower and to do my pt, which I'm going to show you in just a second. So first, let's just show you when I stand up, so watch what happens.
And I let my arm hang without the brace. It doesn't go straight. So this is my normal arm. This is my right arm, which is bent and stuck right now. And that's normal because I haven't moved it.
It's been in a brace, so that's the first thing. So with rehab, what I'm able to do is I'm working on straightening it, but my palm has to stay face down. So when I'm turning my palm this way, I cannot do that on my own. I have to use my hand to turn it. It won't turn on its own. So for rehab to work on straightening it, I lay it flat on a table, and I'm just literally sliding back and forth. That's step one. So I'm working on straightening it out here first. The next thing I'm doing is I'm working on this wrist movement. So this won't turn on its own. I can't move my hand, so I can't feed myself yet or put makeup on with this hand. So it's just a matter of practicing this every day. Just like this. And the other thing I'm doing is a lot of shoulder movement guided just like this, so so I don't get frozen. Shoulder right there. So those are my exciting three arm exercises right now. Now, as of this morning, I have a new exercise. I get to use a band. And with my palm down, my arm down, I get to now slide with a band to start working my tricep. How excited am I? I can't do anything with a downward motion yet or up here because that'll hit my bicep. But laying flat, I can start working that, so I'm pretty excited.
