Day 2 LIVE Masterclass - How to get where you WANT to go | Natalie Jill

This is a YouTube video titled "Day 2 LIVE Masterclass - How to get where you WANT to go | Natalie Jill" recorded in March 2019. It features Natalie Jill leading an interactive live masterclass focused on mindset, motivation, nutrition, and fitness. Natalie Jill discusses the importance of commitment versus trying, overcoming limiting beliefs, hydration, and nutrition strategies. The session includes live participant interactions and a guest testimonial from a client named Landa who shares her transformation journey. The content is motivational and educational, aimed at helping viewers achieve personal health and wellness goals.
Hello? Hello? Can you hear me, guys? Okay, everyone hear me? Okay, Wave if you can. Awesome. Sounds good. Awesome. Hi, everyone. Let me get this all set up to record. Hang on one second. Okay, everyone can see me and hear me. Okay, thanks for joining me. For those of you that were not on the zoom last night or have not used Zoom before, I just want to go over quickly some just logistics of it, just real quick. So this is super interactive. Right now I'm going to be teaching and opening it up to questions. So the way that this is going to go, I'm going to take you down a sequence of teaching and I'm going to start with some stuff with the state, with changing your state and motivation. And then I'm going to go into nutrition and then the workout part. That's the flow of it. So in each section, if you have questions in that section, I'm going to invite you to ask in the chat or to raise your hand physically or by the cartoon. And I may call on you to make sure I get to go live with you and answer those questions. I just want to be aware because yesterday I know while we were on certain sections, people were asking questions in different areas just for the sake of the flow. I'm not ignoring your questions if I see those. I just want to stick in the categories just so it'll help everyone. Sound good? Sound good. Awesome. Okay, how's everyone feeling from the challenge this morning and from yesterday? Good. Ify good. Let me scroll. Scroll. Did everyone do the planks yesterday? Yeah. Awesome. And then what about today? The wall sits good. Butt sore, Legs sore. It's crazy how those small little moves can make such a big difference in our lives. Like they make such a big difference and you would think that you have to go hours and hours. And my point behind this is you can do a few exercises and really change your body by doing them with the right intensity and progress. Glad you got to do that. And I'm hoping everyone's doing well with the water and I'm processing their diet and I'm going to definitely open up to questions when I get to that nutrition part today and make sure everyone is feeling good about that. Awesome. Ok, so yesterday we chatted a lot about what got you to where you are right now today. And we talked about how your thoughts and your actions can define who you are today and they can also shape who you're becoming. And if we keep the same thoughts and actions, we keep the same thoughts and actions that got us to right now here today, then it's very difficult to become a new version of ourselves with those same thoughts and actions. Okay, so today you had a big assignment to start looking at what you're thinking, what you're telling yourself, what some of those false assumed truths are. Now, if you did not hear yesterday's live zoom, I'm going to invite you to watch that later because it will help you with this, because they're all building on each other. So you're still welcome on today, of course, but if you missed that yesterday, it'll be more effective if you listen to both. So we have that recording that we mailed out to you, and we also posted it in the group. But first and foremost, what got you to where you are right now today is a system. And many of us operate basically from an ecosystem of past beliefs and experiences. And what that means is those beliefs, behaviors, habits and ideals, they have all taught us certain truths and beliefs and they keep us comfortable and safe. So the reason we hold onto them is we stay comfortable and safe. And we know that staying comfortable and safe doesn't necessarily get results that we want. So what that means is these beliefs keep your results basically on the edge of greatness, on the edge of what you want for yourself. And so what that means is that you're not just interested, I know this. You're not just interested in gaining weight or releasing weight or toning up or just getting thinner or whatever it is that you might have come to me for, but you're interested in achieving your higher self, like becoming a better version of yourself, you know, And I love your hands up if you agree with that. Like, you're here. It's more than just the weight and what you physically look like. You want to live a better life, be a better version of yourself, your highest potential. And what brought you to me is that you don't want to be on the edge of that. You want to experience it, right? Like you want to actually live that, have that confidence, experience it, be it. And that's killer. So what that means is that we have a big, big assignment and this five day challenge, I just want to be up front. That can't solve everything. It can be an introduction, it can be a beginning of a journey, a beginning of your process, but it can't solve everything. So I just want to put that out there, that it's the start, it's the beginning, and it's the beginning of a process together. And what this also means is that I fully get you. Many of you have seen my journey. I shared With a lot of you last night on the call, my journey. Like, I shared images of what I look like before, but I fully get you. You've seen my journey. A lot of you have seen my process. You've seen clients that I've done this process with. And I want you to know that I want your new 2019 version of you to be a new version of you. Not like an old version of you, not you, like 20 years ago, not you 10 years ago. I want it to be a newer version that these new thoughts and actions can create for you. Does that sound good? Does that sound good? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Ok, so I'm going to build on if you didn't do the assignment this morning, I'm going to invite you to do that later to make sure you're clear on what those false assumed truths are holding you back because those will keep rearing their ugly head. I just want to be real. Even when you're clear on where you're going. False assumed truths keep us comfortable and safe so they will pop up. So the quicker we can get control and recognize what those are, what those are, the more we start to gain control and power over them, we don't become powerless to them, we gain power over them. Okay, so what I want to talk about today, what I want to talk about today with all of that being said, is a big thing. This is called trying versus committing. And I want to explain what I mean by that. So many of you are here right now. I know this because you're trying this with me. And what's good about that is that you're trying something, right? Trying something new is always good. What doesn't work with trying is trying is not definitive. It's not declaring, it's not deciding. And when we try things in our life, when we try things, we're giving it space to be a miss. We're giving their space to be error. We're giving space for it to have an out, to fail, for it to not work. So when we try things, we're not attached to results. We're not clear that we want results. It's not a commitment, it's non committal. And I want you to look at this. Whether it's this challenge with me or anything you're doing in your life, like how are you showing up in things? Are you trying or are you committing? Are you making a, like a commitment, a declaration? Are you deciding something's happening or are you trying? Because it doesn't matter what you pick or choose. If you enter things with a trying mentality. It doesn't work. For example, I have a pen right here. If I'm going to try to pick up the pen with my other hand, I'm going to try. I'm going to try. I'm not picking up, but I'm trying, right? I'm trying. However, if I'm going to pick up the pen, it's happening. This language is. Languaging is important because I hear so many of you. I see the comments, I see the threads, I see the questions come in, and there's a lot of I'm trying, I'm going to try. So I want you to think that through. Like, how often are you trying things in your life versus how often are you committed and making a firm decision on things? Because you really. Your decision to decide versus try is what speaks into results for you. It is what speaks into results for you. So when you decide something, you find ways to make it work. When you commit to things, they happen. When you try things, you're setting yourself up to have an out and not achieve big things. Okay? So thinking through your languaging, how many things are you trying versus how many things are you deciding? Really, really important. And what that means is when you start recognizing that language, when you start recognizing how much you're trying things, you start getting more clear on what you're deciding to do, which means you don't have to do everything. You don't have to decide to do everything. You also don't have to try everything. You're just going to get more clear on what you're actually jumping into and making decisions around. So many of you came here because you want to try a challenge or you want to try something else. And I want to encourage you to shift into. You've decided that you are going to have a change this year. You have decided that you are going to get to be the best version of yourself. You have decided you are getting healthy. You have decided you are going for your goals. You are deciding whatever it is, and you are going to do this challenge. You are going to work with Natalie Jill's program. You are going to do this as a way to get there. Do you see the difference? So it is not, I am going to try Natalie's program and see what happens. It's. I'm deciding I'm getting healthy, fit, making a change in my life. I'm deciding this, and I'm going to use the program as a way to step into that. Make sense. Okay. I see a few hands Up. I just want to make sure. Kevin, do you have a question? I see. And Jill. Jill, you have a hand up. Jill, I'm going to call on you first. Hi, Jill. Hi. How are you? Hi. I'm totally new at this, so I just plugged in tonight. So I really have no idea what this is all about. So, you know, I know, like, it talks about diet and exercise and stuff, but I have. I really don't have a clear plan of what it's. So I'm kind of just listening. Okay, got it, Got it. I saw your hand upon to make sure you didn't have a question, but awesome. I was like, I was agreeing. Yeah, awesome. Okay. I'm glad you're here listening. Thank you, Jill. Thank you. Okay. Kevin, do you have a question? Hi, Kevin. Hi, Kevin. Whoops. I think you're muted. Okay. I can't hear you. Let's see. All right. I don't have a question. Okay, got it. You had your hand up. You had a question, so you didn't have a hand up. Okay, got it. So if anyone had any questions about this, please raise your hand. But I want you to really think, and if you can't, if it's hard to comprehend with this, I want you to think to anything else in your life that you tried versus committed to. So, like, we all have those experiences. Like, I think most of us or a lot of you on here have had a kid or been married or maybe you have, but, like, that's a perfect example. How many moms are out there? Any moms on here? Okay, did you try to have a kid or did you have a kid? Did you try when the kid came out? I'm not talking about when we're working on making the kid, but when you had the kid, did you try to have the kid or did you decide you're having the kid? We didn't try. Like, it happened. We didn't go into labor. Like, I'm going to try. I'm going to try and see if it pushes out. Like it's coming out. Right? Same thing, I think. How many of you are married or have been married at a time in your life? Like, when you got down the aisle, were you like, I'm going to try, or you're like, no, I'm committed. I'm getting married. Right. We were like, I'll try. I'll try. Do you try to drive to work every day or do you drive to work today? Every day. Yeah. You get there. So there's a difference. And I'm Saying it a lot. And I'm repeating it because this is critical, because I can't tell you pretty much every message I ever get about starting a program with me, it's, I'm going to try. And I always challenge people because. Are you going to try? Because if you just try things, there's no commitment. No, I'm not guaranteeing that. Like, whatever you decide is the only way to get there. What I'm asking you is to step into a bigger vision for yourself on deciding what it is you're after this year and be definitive about it. Like, don't put the word try anywhere around it. Like, I'm deciding that this is my year, this is happening, and I'm going to do these things to get there. Okay, Is this landing for you guys? Make sense? Okay. Any questions around this? Let me just scroll through. Awesome. So what this means is if you start making decisions around this, it's happening, and then you take that up a level, just like we talked about on night one by declaring it. That's level two. So decision is one step. Like, I've decided. I'm doing this. But now you're going to declare it. That's a whole nother level. Because when you tell somebody what you're doing, oh, boy, it's happening. It's definitely happening when you tell somebody. So how do you do that? Well, you could tell your spouse, your friend. You can tell it in our group here. You can comment here and tell it. You could be really bold and go on social media and say, I've decided. This is my year. I'm doing that now. Why don't people do that? Why do we not do that? Because it's scary. Because as soon as we declare it, what has to happen, we do it, you do it. And that's scary. I get it. And we have to step out of our comfort zone. So the first part of tonight's call, what I wanted to share with you, is that important thing. And I'm gonna keep coming back to it in the challenge because this is a theme. And when I post things like tomorrow, when I post the new exercise or the one I did today, if you say, I'm gonna try it, I'm gonna call you forth on it. Are you trying it or are you deciding that's what's going to make the difference? So much of this is mindset. So much of this. Okay, I'm going to move on into. Before I move into nutrition. I do want to. I have Lander, are you on? Let me see. Let Me? Scroll. I don't even see. I don't see her. Let's see. I think Landa's on. I might have to have. I need to unmute you, but I got to find you. Hang on a second. I have a guest on for us. Liana. If you see Landa, can you unmute her? I'm scrolling and I do not see her. Let's see. And I don't know if she can. Let me try to unmute. Hang on a second. Let me get you guys unmuted here. Whoops. Manage participants. See? Okay, I cannot find her to unmute her. Liana, do you see her? I see you right there. I'm gonna unmute you. Do you see her? Liana? Yeah. Am I unmuted? I see Yolanda. Okay, under Y, U, L, A, N, D, A. Is her face on? I can't unmute her for some reason. Okay, let me. Sorry, guys. Let me just. I want. I have a guest on that. I want to have her share. I'll send her a message. Okay. I just cannot find her. We might circle back to her in a minute. Patty, do you have a question? I see Patty. I'm just unmuting you right here. Hi, Patty. Whoops. Maybe not. Okay. Oh, I found her. Hi, Landa. I found you. Are you on? Can you hear me? Yeah. Hi, guys. Okay, I want to show you. I'm going to introduce you to. Land on a minute, because I have some questions for. And I want to show you. Now, first of all, I want to explain to you, Lando, was this. Sorry, Land, I'm putting this up of you. This was Landa when I met her. This is a beautiful girl. This is Landa. Okay? Now, when I met her, she was where you guys, a lot of you all are right now. And, Land, I just have a few questions for you, and I'd love for you to share. So before you came to me and all of these concepts of changing your state and planning your plate and loving your weight, I am curious to know who you were. Like, who were you at that point when you started working with me?
Oh, gosh, a very different person. I was obese. I was unhappy. I was uncomfortable in my own situation. I was wearing baggy clothes just to hide. I was frustrated. I was depressed. I had low energy. I was confused about nutrition, exercise. Yeah, I was just. I was just not happy and didn't really have anything to look forward to every day. I mean, I have a very loving husband and family and everything, but it's just I wasn't Happy with me and.
Yeah.
And I didn't know how to fix it. I didn't know what to do.
Yeah. Were you trying a lot of things?
Yeah, I remember having definitely trying a lot of things and definitely did not work.
Yeah. Awesome. So do you remember what your, like, kind of some of those fears and thoughts and habits you had before were? Because like, we talk a lot about thoughts and actions. Do you remember what some of those thoughts and habits that you had or beliefs you had about yourself before were?
Oh, but believe were like, you know, I'm big bone as part of my DNA. It's part of growing old. Because when I. When I engage in a program. Last January, I was 43. So now I'm sorry, I was 43, turning 45, and I just thought 40, because a lot of ladies around me at work are all, you know, overweight. Life this just the way it is.
Yeah. Yeah. Got it. Okay. And do you. Did you remember, like, did you remember what you had to learn and overcome? Yeah.
You know, really, the mindset was the biggest thing, which I did not think that joining your program, I was gonna, like, you know, you mentioned it, but I didn't understand it until I went through the program. And the, you know, like you said, like, you know, learning the nutrition and the exercise is just mechanics, but really to keep that weight off and just being happy with all areas of your life is that mindset and the belief set. You know, you need to learn that the drill, grasp that part, to be really successful in every part of your life. And when I went through it and just in that six weeks, it blew by so fast, and I learned so much, and it really helped me all sorts of areas. I'm such a happier person. It's hard to think back that, you know, the negative mindset I had because I'm not that person anymore.
Yeah. And what's interesting is I hear a lot of women, like, when they're in the negative mindset, when I see that they don't even know they're in a negative mindset. So that's crazy about it, is that we start justifying that this is just. These are truths. They're the false assumed truths.
Exactly. Yeah.
So, okay, so you've created. You've come a long way. And by the way, you guys, I showed you this picture of her, but I want you to see this picture of her now. I mean, look at this. What? She sent me this picture from a trip on vacation. I mean, a whole new person. All a new person. What can you do? You Mind sharing some of the new vision for yourself. Like, what do you believe now about yourself and who you're stepping into?
Oh, I am a person that's open and confident and happy and just know that, you know, whatever I put my mind to, whatever I want to do, I can achieve it.
Yes, you can.
Before, I didn't. I didn't believe that about myself. I didn't think I was capable. I just thought that, you know, I just wasn't. I wasn't worth it. I wasn't enough. But I through. Through the system, through the program. You know, it's so much beyond just nutrition, exercise. There's so much beyond that. And now I'm just like, I have new goals for my life, for myself. I have confidence. I'm happy, I'm smiling. I'm comfortable in my own skin. I actually had a hard time looking at people's eyes when I talked to them in the past.
I know that feeling. I know there's many women that understand that especially.
Yeah. So now I can actually be present and engage in conversations eye to eye because I think I believe in myself now. Yeah.
So awesome. Okay, one more question for you, Landa, then I'll let you. I'll let you off the hook. Sorry. If you had, like, 30 seconds to inspire someone that's listening right now on why they should do that, like, why they should take this on and learn this method, what would you tell them?
You know, when I started, I was really scared, and I really didn't know if this is for me, if this is for everybody else except for me. And honestly, you guys just have to engage and trust the process. And if you join the program, you will understand how to eat for real and how to keep it for life. Nali, she's awesome. She's so genuine. I didn't feel like she was trying.
To sell to me.
She was actually genuinely loving and caring and wanting to help people and help a bunch of women. And she's helped a ton of women. And I truly believe that this is the perfect way to live. And it's actually. It's not. It's not a diet. It's a way of life and the real way of life. And I really. I just suggest for everybody just to take a step. If you're not sure, take a chance. Because like she said, you can always go back to your old ways. You can always go back to your old ways. But if you get in the program, don't question it, because I had a lot of the same questions, like, well, I count Calories or, you know, what's keto diet or this and that, just go. I just cleared everything and trusted her process and went for it. And you know what? It did not take six weeks to believe that it actually works. It only took about a week or two because I saw results within a week or two, the bloat was gone. You know, it just the way I felt, I had more energy just within the first couple of weeks. It was crazy. I mean, if you're just tired of being tired of being tired and just tired of not being happy, go for it. It's only a few weeks and you'll see your life change. I mean, honestly, it changed for me.
I'm so proud of you, Landa. Thank you. Thank you for sharing. Thank you, thank you. I wanted you all to hear from somebody that has actually been through this method because I know even whenever you take on learning new ways, different methods, that voice will always pop back up. And I wanted, I thought what better way to bring somebody on that's actually been through that journey themselves that could share with you. So that's why I wanted to have her on. Thank you. Ok, real talk before we move into the nutrition section. Oh, and I see a question real quick on that. Do I have tips for overcoming the all or nothing or all in off mindset? Good question, Dana. That's a great question, Dana. So here's the thing somebody actually asked earlier. Are you always so positive? Are you always so motivated? No, I'm not. I would say I work towards it. I'm committed to that. It's a process and it's what we do the most of the time, not what we do all of the time that makes a difference. You all, it's what we do most of the time. Not all of the time. Not all of the time. So it's a decision, though, to shift our mindset and look for those goals, to look for those right thoughts and right actions that are going to get us there. And that's something Landa just shared too. That's what she had to work towards is like once you make that decision and you say, I'm going to stop trying and I'm deciding to jump all in. It's a commitment to yourself, to catch yourself and remind yourself and to surround yourself with community and tribe and other people that are on that same mission as you that will support that so you can drown out the negative noise. So I hope that helps. It's not like I just took a happy pill and I woke up and I'm Motivated all the time. I definitely have my moments where I'm not. But I would say the majority of the time I am the glass half full. I am looking for those things. I am looking for the opportunity. It gets easier to have setback. It gets easier that when you have a setback to shift out of it or all that stuff gets easier. It gets easier when you're committed to deciding you want something different for your life. That's what happens. Ok, I'm going to jump into nutrition because I want to make sure I'm covering all these points and I just want to remind you guys, I'm going to be upfront for those of you that are just joining for the first time. So the reason I put together this challenge is my best program, the one that Landa was just referring to is my full body reset. And that's a six week program that is a complete program that in those six weeks you completely shift your mindset. You learn so much about nutrition, you change your body, you lose the bloat, you lose the cravings, you get your confidence back. All that stuff happens. However, it's not always the right timing for everybody to do full body reset. Not everybody's a candidate for it. And I get that. And so I wanted to create a challenge where I'm taking some of these concepts where I can teach you all in five days. So you get a test drive for things, you get to try this on, to take that stuff with you, to change your life on your own. Or you make a decision then that you want to see if you're a candidate for it and you jump on and you decide to do full body reset. And that will be available on Thursday morning. I'll have that open for enrollment. I'll have limited spots, but that will be available Thursday morning to go deeper if you are somebody that wants to take that on for that six week challenge. Ok, so that's real talk there about that. Ok, let's jump into nutrition. I see some questions coming in, so I know there's going to be a lot here. So yesterday we covered unprocessing your diet, what that means, what that means, and we went over proteins, carbs and fats. So if you were not on yesterday's call and you've got questions about that, the general thing with that, I'm going to invite you to listen to that as something in addition to this that's going to support you there. We talked about building a meal and using protein, carbs and fats to keep cravings at bay. What Works. We talked about adding in more, taking away. Instead of taking away, looking at how can we add in more of the good. This is a big thing today. What I want to dive a little bit more into is hydration. This is really important. Most of us are walking around chronically dehydrated. Now that sounds funny because we don't maybe feel like we're thirsty. But how many of you can relate to being foggy headed at times or feeling tired in the afternoons? I mean that's definite, right? Having bloat. Who has bloat? Who feels bloat? Got it. Cravings, ok, Fatigue, yeah, all of that are signs of dehydration. I just want to be really upfront. And what's amazing is when we start drinking more water, which sounds so simple but it seems so challenging for people, me included, sometimes it changes all of that and I want to just kind of go down. Why that works. First and foremost, when we're bloated, when we're carrying around extra water weight, our body is dehydrated, holding onto extra water. When we drink more water, when we hydrate more, your body starts to release that water it's holding onto. So hydrating, just drinking more water is going to help you be less bloated. It helps you stop retaining water because your body knows that it's coming in. Your body knows it's coming in, expects it. And what that means is it doesn't need to hold on to water anymore. So the more water you drink, the less bloated you feel, first and foremost. The other thing is a big reason we feel fatigued and sluggish and foggy headed is dehydration, believe it or not. So what happens is we feel foggy headed, fatigued, sluggish, and we think instantly, I need caffeine. Who's been there? I've definitely been there. I need caffeine, I need sugar, I need sugar, I need carbs, I need carbs, sugar, caffeine. So now we go make this crazy coffee, caffeine monster drink, whatever to help fix us. To help fix us. That's what we do, right? We pull in all this sugar, caffeine to help fix us. But what happens then is we get a temporary raise and then we collapse back down. Temporary raise, we collapse back down. Then we need more caffeine, more sugar, more carbs. I know that a lot of you have been there. By drinking water, that might not be something you feel like having in that moment, but by getting that hydration, by getting that hydration in, we Start to shut off that fatigue, that craving, all of that, just by being more hydrated. It's so simple. By drinking more water, you get rid of that. The other benefits, by drinking more water, you're going to process your food faster. So you're going to get the nutrients faster. You're going to stay full longer, which is key. And as a perk, your skin starts looking better, you have more energy, all of it. So why am I touching so much on water? Because water is something that is lacking from so many people. Whether you are a healthy eater or not healthy eater, it is so simple. But by adding more water in, we change things. Now, how many of you have did the water challenge today? Raise your hand if you did the water challenge I had this morning. Awesome. I am going to unmute a couple of you. Maria, are you open to. How do you feel, Maria, doing that today? I just unmuted you. Are you talking to me? Yeah, talking to you. Wow. Well, was not so bad actually, because like you said in a previous video, you said we have to commit, so we have to do it. So I feel better. Even so many things happened at the moment in my life, but this challenge was really great. And even simple, we think, oh, yeah, we can do it, we can do it. And then forgot. But was marvelous. Okay, so you're working on it. You're adding in the more water. You're working on it. Got it. Awesome. Thank you. Pat. I see your hand up. Do you have a question, Pat, or do you want to share about water? Nope. Okay, got it. Sorry, I thought I saw your hand up. Okay, so, yeah. So water. Anyone have a good experience with the water today? Other than I had to go to the bathroom a million times. Anyone have a good experience? Yeah. Now, this is not something you can do one day, like set it and forget it. I just want to be real. Like, it's not like we just drank a lot of water today. We flooded ourselves, we peed a lot. Now we're done. This is an everyday thing. So what I'm teaching you, I want you to build on and it gets easier. I swear I have water with me. Like, as I'm talking to you, I've got water right here. I just have it with me all the time. So I remember. Because otherwise I forget. I forget. So it's carrying a water bottle, it's having your glass. It's constantly staying hydrated. But I promise you it'll make a big difference. That one step alone, adding that water. I know that sounds so simple, but it's so challenging for so many women. It's for so many women. Okay, I see a few questions. Let's see. Okay. Pms, cravings and fatigue. Yes. So hormones are a real thing, especially if you're perimenopause. If you're menopause, period. Any hormone shift is a real thing. It's a real thing and I want you to listen to that. But the same rules apply. The same rules apply. Add more water. Don't feel that my hormones are shifting. So now this is my issue because you still can flood out the bloating with more water. You can still stop the cravings with more balance of the right foods. You can still do that. So. So be careful using that or the hysterectomy. I see that in a comment. All of that as false assumed truth. Because yes, they're facts. Like, I had a hysterectomy. That's a fact. If that's you, PMS is a fact. You have pms, that's a fact. Got it. However, the second you say that's the reason that I'm going to not be able to eat healthier, that's the reason I'm going to keep gaining weight, or that's the reason this. We've now created a false assumed truth and we have no chance of breaking through. So you almost have to like, notice it. Got it. Let's find examples of people that have worked around what I am teaching you works. And I will go back to this a million times. And I want to be clear. I am not telling you to just eat fish and broccoli, but if you just ate fish and broccoli, nobody would be overweight, period. End of story. If you just ate fish and broccoli, you would not be overweight. I want to be really clear about that. I am not telling you to do that. But hysterectomy, periods, bad mood, hormones, thyroid, it doesn't all of that. There is a system that would work. Now, it may not be something you like, it might not be easy, it might be more challenging. But there's a way to get there if you want it bad enough. I just want to be really clear and upfront about that. We got to be careful about false assumed truths. Remember, I kill fat for a living. You all, I said this on the I kill fat for a living. And that's not just the fat on our body. Those false assumed truths, I will call you forth on them because I am standing for a greater version of you. I am not standing for just having you like me. I mean, I like when you like me, but I am willing to have you not like me to create a bigger version of you. A better version of you. Linda, do you have a question? Hi, Linda. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. I'm assuming. Is that me? Yeah, you had your hand up. Do you have a question? Yes, I do, I do, I do. If example, you skip or you run out of time, or you forget, or you're out and about, you miss your first snack. Can you combine that snack with your lunch? Absolutely. Yes, you can, yes, you can. I don't want anybody eating when they're not hungry. So keep in mind you don't have to get snacks in, you don't have to overeat, I don't want you doing any of that. Eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full. And you definitely can combine. So I'm not attached to when you eat the foods, I just want to make sure you're eating them. Okay? So you can eat them all in four hours, you can eat them all in eight hours, you can eat them throughout. That doesn't matter. You do what works for you. That doesn't matter.
Okay.
Okay. Yeah, let's see. I see. Laina, you have a question? Lana, Hi. I'm sorry, I'm coming in late, so I apologize if you already answered this, but I popped in when I heard you talking about water. I mean, I'm typically a good water drinker, there are days that I forget, but there's the carbonated unflavored waters. Did you talk about that? You can totally have that. I have no issue with that. Like the Lacroix and all that kind of stuff. I drink all of it. Totally no problem. Yep. Okay. Unless you have like acid reflux and you are sensitive to carbonation, then that would be the only reason not to. But I have no problem with it. And we count it as part of our water intake or. No, you absolutely can. If there's no caffeine, you count it as your water. Yep. Perfect. Yeah, awesome, thank you. Thanks. And then I did see a question earlier from a guy. Let's see, somebody asked, is this program for women only? Is no, guys. Ok, I want Kevin. Hi, Kevin, if you're still on, listen, anyone could do this. Men, women, any age. The reason I probably have a majority of women is because I myself am female and I'm a 47 year old female, so I tend to attract a lot of women in their 40s and 50s. That doesn't mean that men are excluded or if you're 30, you're excluded. Or if you're 70, you're excluded. Nothing like that at all. I just. I think people tend to find me because I'm similar in age to them, so that's what that is. But yes, absolutely. My program could work for everyone. I tend to talk more to women, so that's the answer to that. Let's see. Ok, a few more questions here. It was easier to drink from a cup with a straw than a bottle. Okay, Val, See, the water was awesome and funny. Went walking with a friend that had a pee three times. I've been there for sure. Yep. Adding lemon, citrus, mint, all of that. You can definitely that. Great advice, Adrienne. Thank you. That's a great advice to do that. Kelly, do you have a question? I see your hand up. No, I'm good. Good. Okay, awesome. Let's see. Any more hands up. Let me scroll through real quick, make sure I'm not missing anyone that wants help. Hi, Jolie. Hi. Hi. How are you? Great. How are you?
Good.
Can you hear me?
I can. Yes.
See, I've always been very conscious about the water. And I actually carry a container with me of 40 ounces. And I know I'm supposed to drink it twice. You know, I fill it up twice. I mean, but I still struggle with water retention, like right now, these days, even though I've been working out, I do my cardio. I've been drinking lots of water. I am so bloated. My legs are just like about to burst and all that. So then I'm wondering what should I do? But I'm noticing that I'm not peeing as much even though I'm drinking so much water. So there's been times in my life that I go through these. Even my husband notices that I'm like. He touches me. He's like, you're so bloated, and I don't understand why.
Okay, so there could be a number of reasons. So water helps with a lot of things for sure. So it's not hurting you. So rest assured that first and foremost, there's a lot of reasons for bloating and water retention. A lot of them. So I'm just going to kind of run down a general list without getting. Just so other people can hear this too. And then you'll know what. Some of these might land for you, some might not. Okay. First and foremost, if you are somebody that eats artificial sweeteners or fake foods. Okay. High tendency to bloat. This is. And this is for everybody, too. If your artificial sweeteners will bloat people. Also, you may not have a full allergy, but some people are very sensitive to, there's known foods to bloat people. Allergens like dairy, gluten and grains absolutely can bloat people. And then if you're a heavy bean legume eater, those can bloat people. So those three categories can absolutely bloat people. And if you are somebody that eats those three things, I would highly suggest, if you're dealing with bloating, take those out of your diet for a week, see what does that, see how you feel, and then start adding them back. That's another big reason, another reason I'm a fan of salt. I don't have an issue with salt, but high sodium foods would do that. So if you're eating canned foods or highly processed foods with a lot of sodium, that could be something. Also, also, hormones are a very real thing. So we have hormone shifts. We tend to bloat more. We tend to bloat more. Now, sometimes there can be a medical situation. You could have edema, you could have something else going on with blood pressure or water retention. So if it is a constant problem and you've taken those things out, I would encourage you to mention it to your doctor just to rule things out because it could be a very simple fix.
Okay.
Yeah.
Because everything you're mentioning is like I said, I don't eat artificial sweeteners. I try to eat as natural as possible. But yeah, I do have a slow metabolism, even though I work out almost every day and I don't eat the high sodium, but it's like, yeah, I'm dealing with that. So I actually had a physical last.
Night, so maybe it could be super minor. Nothing. But it's good to rule stuff out and then remember, don't let that, whatever it is, whatever it comes back as you manage it and you still do all the right things and you break because there's always success stories. So, yes, you should not be walking around bloated or retaining water. But. But do those things. Get it checked out and then we'll find a way. Okay, but the water's not hurting you. It will help.
No, right, exactly. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing. Thank you. Any more questions on this or any of the nutrition stuff? Let's see. Make sure. What about 100% coconut water? I am totally fine with that. Yep. No problem. Is there a certain type of water to drink? Any water is fine. I would just be careful. If you are doing, if you are doing caffeinated beverages like coffee. Just know that, like, for every cup of something with caffeine, it's almost like deleting a cup of water. So I want to be upfront about that. Caffeine will dehydrate you, so you'll want to add more if you're having caffeine. Somebody is asking, is the Full Body Reset all videos or do you do. I do Zoom sessions. Full Body Reset is a full support for six weeks, so it's not just videos. Although the videos are like an entire academy on its own. You get downloads, you get so much support, you get a private group and you get a weekly deep dive Zoom live with me. And that's typically because we have a smaller group, we go really deep on those. So, yes, that's the answer to that. Somebody asked about Splenda. I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners. You all, because artificial sweeteners, your body thinks it's getting the calories, but it's not really getting them. So you're going to crave more, you're going to want more. And then there's also issues with bloating and health with that. So I am OK with stevia. I don't have an issue with stevia. If you really need something sweet, somebody asked about honey earlier. I am fine with real sugar in small amounts. So if you are like, I really need something sweet in my tea or my coffee, go for it. Just use a small amount. You guys, what I want you to know is a teaspoon of real sugar has 30 calories. It's not that big of a deal. A small teaspoon of real sugar, just to put it in perspective now, if you're super sensitive to sugar, yes, it's not ideal, but I would rather you have a little bit of the real thing than have the artificial stuff, which messes with a lot more than just the calories right there. Really important to point that out. Amelia, do you have a question? I see your hand up, but I don't see a video. Are you Dawn, Amelia? No, I'm here. Sorry. Okay. I had your hands up. No problem. I wanted to know, does the water in green juice, does that count as your daily? Yes, it does. It absolutely does. Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Let's see, any more questions here about this? Just scrolling real quick. Awesome, you guys. Okay, so no more nutrition questions that I hear. Okay. Somebody said, I heard you have to drink half your body weight in ounces, yes or no? You can't really overdo it. I'm going to Say, I like saying 10 glasses just because that's challenging enough. And I think if you can get on game with having 10 glasses a day, you're doing really darn good. Really good. So let's see. Question, Ji Chen. I admit I'm not a big water drinker. Now that I get the challenge, is it strange that I find myself wanting more water? Nope, it's not strange at all. In fact, my husband is like a, he's like a blowfish. He's like drinking water all day long. All day long. All day long. Because he drinks so much hydration. He's, he wants more. But I'll tell you, it works for him. He's lean, he's never bloated, he doesn't have food issues. Like, it's water is amazing and it's so simple. Such a simple thing. Just to add such a simple thing. Let's see a few more questions here. How do I feel about eating cold cuts? Good question. So cold cuts, yes and no. If you get nitrate free, real meat, like literally carved off the stuff at the store, I'm fine with it. Where I get concerned is if it is the processed meat with nitrates and chemicals because there's all kinds of issues associated with that. So ideally you would pick cold cuts that don't have that. You can just look for nitrate free, no antibiotics, no hormones. And that would be ideal. That would be ideal for that. Thoughts on tofu? Tofu is a protein. However, it is a soy protein. So I am not a fan. I am not a fan. If you really want it, I know like vegans want it, you could count that as a protein. Absolutely. I'm not a fan. It's estrogen producing. It can create more issues with us. So I don't personally suggest tofu. How about cheese? Same thing. So cheeses are a fat, they're considered a fat. So you want to do small amounts of it. About a tablespoon. I'm a bigger fan. If you're going to do cheese, again, like everything, there's the, the ideal there is, the better there is the best. Ideally, if you are going to do cheese, I would go with raw cheese. If you can get that in your seat. Or the white cheeses. So like feta, goat cheese, the cow's milk, dairy. I am not as big of a fan as if you must have it, stick to the tablespoon. Stick to a size of your thumb. For me, I could not possibly stick to a thumb size of like Brie cheese. Like, I will eat the entire plate. So it is a trigger food for me. If that's you, I would say stay away from cheese. If you can just have a smidgen, great. For me, I will eat not only the whole plate in front of me, I'll eat your whole plate of cheese. It will trigger me like gummy bears would. So for that, I stay away from cheese. Except for like the times of year that I forget that I'm supposed to be staying away from it. I attack it and then I move on. So that's my answer on cheese. Let's see. Why do they stay away from cow's milk? Jessica, that's a whole. I go really deep into that, into full body reset. But just to give you the general. The first reason is it tends to have a lot of antibiotics and hormones. So right there, there's that. First and foremost, there's an issue with that. It is mucus producing. It is mucus producing. Cow's milk. Cow's milk is meant for calf. It's meant for cows, it's not meant for humans. So somehow along the way, we got this message that we need dairy from cow's milk to drink. So we've raised kids on that. I was raised on it. A lot of us were raised on it. Got it. Now that milk has become very processed. It causes inflammation. If you have no inflammation in your body, if you're healthy, you don't have back issues, joint issues, you don't have an autoimmune, you don't have issues with dairy and you're happy with your weight, by all means, keep going. However, if you have pain, you're dealing with pain. If you have an autoimmune, if you have an autoimmune, you absolutely should be off dairy. If you are dealing with fat loss, you want fat loss, it's not helping you. The cow's milk, dairy is not helping you. So again, I don't have a black and white. Like, this thing is bad. Never have it. I'm just giving you awareness here. Is it okay if I drink a lot of Walmart brand Crystal Light? No, Jani, I would say no to that. Here's why. Crystal Light is all chemicals and it's all artificial sweeteners. So it is not helping you. It's going to bloat you, it's going to have you crave more. It is hurting your fat loss efforts. So no, I'm not a fan of Crystal Light at all. Unless they change something and they have some natural version that I don't know about. Last I checked, it's junk. So I would not a fan of that. Would I count green tea with daily water? Yes, I would count that. Are beans ok? Ok. Beans are considered to me a starchy carb. So if you really want beans, you would count that as your starchy carb A half of. So think of the size of your fist twice a day. Beans will bloat you. They will absolutely bloat you. And they are not friendly for fat loss. They are not. Are they good for you? Sure. They have fiber in them. There are nutrients in beans. I don't have an issue there for fat loss, for bloating, for overall energy. Not a fan. If you want them, have them as a starchy carb. Let's see, oatmeal or what happens after the six weeks? Kevin. Sorry, do you mean with full body reset? With full body reset after six weeks, a lot of people don't need me. You're good. Like you have. You're on a path and it's good. I love it. I see clients a year after full body reset. They're like, they haven't seen me in a year. Because they're good. They got it. So let's see. Okay, can we have any type of milk? So again, I'm not a fan of cow's milk. If you really want milk, I would advise coconut or almond, but I'm not a fan of regular milk. So let's see. Agave. Same thing. Agave is a real sugar, so small amounts, I'm okay with. Lena. Lana, I keep saying your name wrong. I'm so sorry I get to fix that. But I'm okay with that with a small amount. Okay, let's see. I see an iPhone hand up, but I can't see who it is. Oh, Amy. Amy, do you have a question? Nope, I unmuted you. Okay, let's see. Any more questions on nutrition before I move over? Oops. Kimberly. Hi, Kimberly. Hi. How are you? Yeah, good. Sorry, I'm at the gym, so I'm all. I'm a hot mess right now. Yes, I have a question. Okay, so you know the, like, the green powder you can buy from like, Walmart and stuff that's supposed to be like superfoods and antioxidants and stuff? Okay, so I drink that once a day. How often am I supposed to be drinking that? Like multiple times a day? It depends on the brand. I have to look at that. But if it's a greens powder, if it's what I'm thinking, most greens powders, as long as they don't have artificial sweeteners or junk. They're natural based on real things. With sweetening it, I'm fine with that. It's just replacing vegetables. It's now again, no supplement. So my supplements is real food first supplement, secondary. So it's not hurting you. It's an addition. I don't see any harm. Once a day probably if you really want it more than once a day, fine. It just, it could be create an issue in the bathroom. I normally just eat my meal and then maybe consider it almost like a snack and then I'll drink it. I don't drink it as a meal. I drink it as like an addition. That's fine. Kimberly, you're fine. Perfect. Thank you. Good to see you. Okay, I'm going to jump over you guys. I know there's a lot of nutrition questions coming in. I'm going to jump over real quick because I want to touch on one thing with workout that I didn't get to do yesterday and I think it's really important. So when questions come in about workouts and what I'm teaching you all. So each morning in the challenge, I'm giving you one move that doesn't mean you can't do other workouts. You don't have to other workouts. I'm giving you one move so you can learn how to use your body weight and learn some different things that are going to actually really tone and tighten without like a crazy amount of workout time. But here's the thing I wanted to speak into tonight. There's two things. I'm just going to touch on this so it can percolate with you. There's two things to look at when you're doing any workout. Anything, whether that's one move for five minutes or you're working out of the gym or you're taking a class. There's two things that are going to make a difference in your body. Ok, two things. One, progression. The other thing, intensity. Let me explain. Progression means you are challenging yourself more and more and getting better. I know some of you can relate to the. Well, ten years ago this worked for me. Ten years ago these bicep curls worked for me and they are not now. Is it because we are getting older? No, it is because we haven't progressed. If we are doing the same three sets of 12 or you know. Yeah, three sets of 1220 pound weights and we are wondering why we are not progressing. Well, we are not progressing. You have to increase and change. So progression means going heavier, doing more, going longer, challenging yourself. So like the plank challenge we did day one. Progression would be maybe day one you did 10 seconds and then took a break, and then did another 10 seconds. Progression would be, can you do 20 seconds and take a break? Progression would be, can I do 30 seconds and take a break? Progression would be, can I do a minute? Constantly progressing. Today we did wall sits. I showed you some modifications. Are you progressing? That's absolutely critical. We have to be progressing to make a difference. The next thing is intensity. So the question to ask yourself is, are you being intense with things now? Intensity. When I used to think of the word intensity, I would think of a sprinter, like an Olympic sprinter, and I'd be like, ok, well, I can't do that, so I should just not even try. But what I want to share with you is intensity is very individual. So what's intense for you might not be intense for somebody else. What matters is are you being intense for you. So if every single one of us were to go out right now and try to do a chin up or a pull up, we'd all be at different levels. Some of you can knock 10 right out. I know some of you can. That would not be intense for you. If you can knock 10 out. Working towards knocking 15 out or doing them faster would be intense. Some of you can't even do one yet and that's fine. Working on one would be intense for you. Just the very act of working on it is intensity. So my question for you to ask yourself every day with me or without me is am I being intense and am I progressing? If you can answer yes to both those things, you will get results. You will get results. Makes sense. Okay, few more questions. Let's see, are my bars still available? Yes, they are. You can still get them. They're nataliejillfitness.com Libert you can get those bars. Let's see, collagen. Animal versus plant. Love that question. Somebody asked me that. Okay, I am a fan of collagen. You cannot get collagen from plants. I'm just going to be real. You can't get collagen from a plant. Now you can get things that might act sort of like collagen from a plant. That's where seaweed comes into play, that's where kelp comes into play. But it's not going to have the same effect. So if you don't eat meat, you're a vegan, by all means. But there's no comparison on the studies or research about collagen versus a vegan based one. It's not the same thing. You can't get it. Collagen, bone, all of that comes from actual bones. I mean, that's what collagen comes from. There is nothing that can compete with that for bone joints, skin health. I am a collagen junkie. I eat it. I eat bone broth. I used to think that was gross. I don't think it's gross anymore after I realized how I feel and how good my gut health is now. So people ask me a lot what I do for my skin. That's a big thing I do for my skin. I eat a lot of collagen, but I get that not everyone wants to do that, but I'm a fan of that bone broth and collagen for sure. Okay, let's see a few more questions. Am I a fan of infrared sauna? Yes, I am. I think that's great. I wish I had one. I do not. Let's see a few more. Got it. Okay. Awesome. Was this helpful tonight, you guys? Was this helpful? Yeah. Wave at me if it was helpful. Okay, so remember what I said at the beginning of this. Call you all. I am doing this challenge for you for free this week because I think there is a lot of value in here. There is a lot that you can take from it. But remember, this is a start. This is a start. You can take this five day challenge and you can plug it into your life and keep going and you can make this a big change, a big line in the sand for you. Or you could just make this something you did and make it something you did and you can go back to old ways. On Thursday morning, I am going to open up enrollment for full body reset. I do realize it's not for everyone. There will be limited spots on there. We'll have that open for about six days that you can enroll in it and we'll. And that will be. So that'll be open on Thursday morning at 6:00am East coast time. Just so you know. So if you're at all interested, just know that that will be available Thursday morning, first thing. You can ask us questions at any time about that. And whether you do that or not, this could be an amazing new start to you, this whole week, this challenge. So I'm excited for you. Any final questions before we wrap it up tonight? Nope. Thanks everyone for your time. I will see you all tomorrow morning at 6am and then tomorrow night for the live. Bye, everyone. Bye.
