Hi, guys. Natalie, Jill. Here on Unprocess yous Diet Today we're making my favorite salad. And this is awesome, especially if you are somebody that, you know needs to get in more of those greens, more of those yummy, healthy things. But you're not such a big vegetable fan. So it's a great way to get all of those great nutrients in those dark, leafy greens in. And the best salad you have ever had. Wait till you try this. Full of so many good things. So all you need for this is we're going to do a blend of all the dark green lettuces. So I for this am using baby spinach, chard and kale. So I've got a big bowl of this that I soaked in water first to clean it. So all the yummy stuff. And the darker the lettuce, the healthier it is for you. So you want to use those dark lettuces for this. Okay. In addition to that, I'm going to use lots of good berries. Now, berries are extremely low glycemic, lots of great vitamins, antioxidants and berries, and very low in calories. So you want to add as many berries as you can. And for this I'm using strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, already rinsed, ready to go. And then I'm going to add some figs, which I love, and it changes the texture, it's so good. And some walnuts. Now, you can use just plain walnuts, or if you're feeling a little daring, you can make them candied walnuts. But I suggest doing them yourself. And all you have to do is on a skillet, add a little bit of oil, a little bit of brown sugar, make them sweet. And you'll use just a few because nuts, as much as they are good for you, still a lot higher on the calories, especially if you're adding the sugar. And then you've already got the fat, so good for you, but you want to use them in a smaller dose here. Okay. So that's the ingredients for the actual salad itself. But now the dressing is what's going to give it that extra little snap. And it's so, so good. So for the dressing, what you're going to need for this is lemon, lime and orange juice. And I've already put it all in here. And we've got 3/4 cup of lemon juice, 3/4 cup of lime, a half a cup of orange juice, and it's already in here. We're going to use some rice vinegar, half a cup here. We're going to use some olive oil here, about a cup and a quarter. We're going to use some thyme, some Himalayan pink rock salt, which I'm a huge fan of, garlic, and some crushed red pepper. And the dressing, you're going to blend in the blender minus the olive oil first. And then when it's done blending, we're gonna drip in the olive oil and that's the dressing and that's what's gonna really flavor up this salad. It is so good. All right, so what you're gonna do is you're gonna take your already washed lettuce mix and we're gonna dump in all of the ingredients for the yummy salad. Here, toss this one so you don't have all the fruit on top. Mix it all through. You guys getting hungry watching this? Because I'm about to eat the whole thing. Then you're going to blend up the dressing, trickle it on, and you're done. Perfect. Healthy, yummy salad. Lots of good nutrients in here. All healthy. Good for you. Whole family should enjoy it.
