Go to breakfast that will keep you full for HOURS | Natalie Jill (Gluten Free, Dairy Free)

Natalie Jill, a sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer, shares her go-to breakfast recipe designed to keep you full for hours. The recipe is gluten-free and dairy-free, with nutrition tips woven throughout the live session.
Good morning. Hey. I wanted to jump on real quick and show you my go to breakfast. This one is going to keep you full for hours. I posted it before on Instagram or just like my stories or my images, but I actually wanted to explain what I'm doing and answer questions because usually I get a bunch of direct messages after. So, hey, thanks for jumping on. I'm live on Facebook and Instagram right now, so I'll be back and forth looking at both of you. For those of you new to my page, I'm Natalie Jill. I'm a licensed master sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer. And. And I kill fat for a living. Not just the fat on our bodies, but the fat in our heads. Those false assumed truths that hold us back from our goals. So thanks for joining me and although I can help so many of you, my focus is typically women in their 40s and 50s because I'm 47. So whatever I'm going through and dealing with, I love to share more of that. So. Hey guys. So if you're joining me, tell me hi. And if you're on Instagram, let me know your name because I only see screen names and I would love to know where you're joining me from and also your age, especially if you're female. Let me know your age. I love to know who I'm chatting with and if you're close to age and me. Or not. So. Hi. Hi. Hi, you guys. Ok, so I'm gonna show you what I have for breakfast. It's not that exciting, but it is yummy and it's super easy. Okay, first thing, I start with lots of berries. Berries. And berries are carb. So people always say, where's your carbs? They are carb. However, they're extremely low glycemic carb, so very low sugar. They don't affect your blood sugar like other carby foods, other starchy foods. So I start with a big bowl of berries, chop them up. I'm going to use blackberries, strawberries, raspberries today. So I tell people on my plans, you can honestly have as many of these as you want. It's very hard to become obese eating too many berries. I. I don't know where that's happened. So just being real with you. I always think it's funny when someone messages and says, I thought you're not supposed to have carrots or berries. There's too much sugar. No, you can have berries. Especially on my plants. So I'm going to put a bunch of berries. But then what I do. I take a little bit of coconut yogurt and I'm using coconut yogurt because I prefer to not use dairy these days. So if you're a fan of dairy and you want to use it, great, but I'm using coconut yogurt. Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to add in some collagen. This is the collagen I'm using right now. Collagen is great for gut health. It's great for your joints, it's great for your skin. And I use a lot of it. I use it every morning in my breakfast. I drink bone broth throughout the day, but there's no taste to it, so I'm mixing in collagen. I do that first. Then I'm going to add in all my berries. So it's strawberries, blackberries, raspberries. So lots and lots of berries. I just mix it around super easy. And I'm using a vanilla unsweetened coconut yogurt, if you want to know what that is. Okay, mix it around. Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my toppings, I'm going to toss in, and this is so good. I keep all my toppings in little canisters like this, little mason jars, so they're easy to grab. So first I'm going to use raw cacao. So you get all the benefits of chocolate in raw cacao without the sugar on all the added fat. So I'll add that in. Then I'm going to use shredded coconut. Yum. So shredded coconut, lots of healthy fat right there. And then chopped pecans today. So just like this. So now it's got a texture, it's got a crunch. So good. So this is what I'll have. So for breakfast today, I'm having this. You can do this as a standalone or you can add something else. So today I added Trader Joe's turkey sausage. Nitrate free. It's so good. I just stir fry it in a little bit of coconut oil. And that's also yummy, yummy, yummy. So you can have that. Let's see. Hi, Jill. You're saying, what if you don't like pecans or nuts? What's an alternative? You don't have to use them. So those are the toppings that I chose. If you use just the coconut, like for instance, you use the coconut, you've got the fat, the healthy fat in here. So you can just do that. You can also add seeds if you want to add Some seeds or chia seeds, pumpkin seeds. Any kind of seed you could use for healthy fat too. That's another thing that you could do. This is so good. You guys want some? Super easy. Keeps you full for hours. I'm going to take some questions. Let's see. Hi, rita. About turn 40. Awesome. Hi, Rose. Oh, Rose, you'll be 48. June. So Rose, you're my age. I'm 47. Let's see. Lots of people close to my age. I love it. Thanks. Oh, yay. Jenny says she's down £5 since she started. Yay. You're welcome. Amazing. Let's see. I have a condition that prevents me from eating carbs, including fruit. Okay, Terri, I see you. Are you not allowed to have vegetables either? Terri. So I wonder what your condition is. How do you feel about oatmeal in the morning? So Anthony, I'm not. I don't have an issue with oatmeal in the morning. In fact, in my jumpstart plan I have oatmeal in the morning for people. However, I've shifted away from that. I'm just going to be really real with you. In fact, my new book coming out is Grain free and some of my other plans are grain free. I'm a fan of not having, not having grains every single day. First of all, if you are having grains, I'm a fan of the gluten free ones. Second thing is I don't want my grains hanging around in me and there's definitely a link for a lot of people with grains and inflammation. So not a fan of grains for me personally. But yes, it's totally. It's a healthier, healthier opportunity. A healthier opportunity. A healthier option. What am I saying? Opportunity. It's too early in the morning. Healthier option than using like a bagel or a muffin, something like that. Let's see your portion. Seems like a lot. It's not a lot. It looks like a lot, right? It's volume. A lot of volume. Water based. But berries are extremely low glycemic. There's very low calorie in here. So this is. It looks like a lot and it will keep me full for hours. But berries have very, very low calories, very low sugar. It's an amazing carb to have. There's so many health benefits to it. So yes, you can eat away and there's not going to be an issue with this. I have this every morning. See. Take a few more questions here. Let's see, how do you feel about. Let's See, I can't see what that says. What bone broth do I use, Kelly? I use. What do I use? I'll show you. Hold on. Stand by. Here it is. This is the one I use right here. And I get it in the freezer section at health food stores. I know Whole Foods has it. Other health food stores have it. That's what I use for bone broth. Let's see. Take a few more questions. And what yogurt is that? I use a coconut yogurt. Lynn, you can buy all different types of brands. You can make it yourself, but I just use a coconut yogurt and I use a very little bit. So less than a quarter of a cup that I mix into here. How much egg should we eat per day? I'm not a big egg eater, actually, and honestly, it just depends. The A lot of people gave eggs a bad rap years ago because they thought eating cholesterol creates a problem. But eating cholesterol is not what creates a cholesterol problem. That's not what creates the issue. Cholesterol in food doesn't necessarily translate to cholesterol in your body. The cholesterol in your body comes from eating too many processed foods, eating a lot of sugar, eating a lot. A lot of high saturated, unhealthy fats. I'm a fan of some saturated fats, but eating a lot of the fried food, things like that. Let's see, yolk, good or bad? No issue with the yolk? Actually, no issue with the yolk. Let's see, more questions. Coconut yogurt doesn't have much protein. It does not have much protein. Karen, you're correct. So I'm adding additional protein. I'm using collagen protein. I'm adding this. And I had a turkey sausage in addition to that. So you are correct. There's also some protein in the nuts and seeds. So I used pecans. And there's a little bit of protein in that. So that's what I do to balance that out. Let's see, what is the collagen I use? Jenny? I've used different brands, but this is my current favorite collagen right here because there's no taste to it and it mixes really easily. So you can really add it to anything. That's what I use. And then throughout the day, I also sip on bone broth. So this is the one I've been using, and that also has collagen in it. And then you guys, I do some supplements in the morning. I'm going to show you those too. Because I've had some questions about that. I do a probiotic. This is the one I'm currently using. So I do that every morning. And I switch up my probiotic every month to get different strains. So I'm constantly switching up my probiotic. I. I do fish oil. This is the one. I use fish oil. I do isogenesis, which is amazing. I took this twice a day. It's awesome, especially for you women in your aging years. And then I do a turmeric, and I don't even know. I know nothing about this brand. This is the one I have recently, but I just do a turmeric. And you want to get turmeric that also has pepper in it. Really important. So you get the benefits. The Seymour questions how much coconut yogurt? I used about a fourth of a cup. Christine. I used just enough coconut yogurt to be able to mix in the collagen and mix it around everything. So that's what I did. And it's so yummy. And I'll jump up here in a minute so I can eat this because I'm hungry. The collagen brand again. Let's see. That was Dr. Axe's collagen right here. That's the one I just used. Hope that helps you guys. Hey, you guys, listen. Also, I'm doing a free class tomorrow. Tomorrow at 10:00am Pacific Time. Sorry. Yeah, 10:00am 10:30, 10:00am Pacific Time.
