Natalie Jill, a licensed master sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer, interacts with viewers, answers questions, and promotes healthy eating and her cookbook. The content is conversational with multiple speakers engaging in a friendly and informative discussion about nutrition and recipe preparation.
Hi, guys. Hello. We're gonna. We can still get set up while we're waiting for them too. Hey, guys, we're going live in a few minutes. We're gonna be making some guilt free yummy brownies. So I know some of you are jumping on right now. So we're getting set up and I wanted to jump on early so you guys don't miss this because this recipe is crazy and it's healthy and yummy and it's chocolate and we have to save it more. So easy.
Yes. No, we don't have to say anything.
They heard chocolate, right? Yeah, Chocolate. Oh, my gosh. How are you guys jumping on? Hey. So those of you that have never been on my live broadcast before, I'm Natalie Jill. I'm a licensed master sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer. And what I do is I simplify fitness and nutrition for people. And many of you, if you've been watching my Facebook Live, you know that I'm also the author of Seven Day Jumpstart Unprocess yous Diet Cookbook. So you guys had requests for more recipes and that's what we're doing today. And I've got my friend Courtney here. Say hi, Courtney.
I'm Courtney Engelman.
And. And for those of you, some of you have seen her before and I had requests to bring her back because her recipe are the bomb diggity because they involve chocolate and like healthy chocolate. Healthy. All you have to hear is chocolate. And we're all in.
And today is brownies. So what else do you need to know? Brownies and chocolate.
So here's the deal, you guys. We're gonna make the whole thing with.
You, and then I'm gonna show you.
I'm gonna show you the result first. Because if you have the end in mind, you get real excited. Look, what is going on here? Look at these. Okay, you guys, these are serious healthy. So you're gonna flip right now. These are so yummy. And they're good and healthy. They're healthy. So I'm gonna teach you how to make them. So before we get started, if you want to share this video with anyone, feel free to share it so others can chime in. The way it always works on live broadcast is we share a topic and then I can see all of your questions like, hey, Rafael. Hey, Angie. Hi, Maria. I can see you guys commenting. And Maria says hi to you too. Hi, Maria. And we're gonna see your questions and comments and we're gonna be able to interact. I want to get to the Point and show you this good chocolate stuff. Okay. So Courtney, what are we making? Tell them what we're making first.
So these are gluten free brownie. Sorry, I'll scoot in here. They're gluten free brownies made with Mito XL chocolate, which does double duty. But they have a surprise ingredient. So you're not measuring flour and baking soda, none of that. We're gonna get it done in about three minutes and we're gonna bake them for about 12 minutes and then you'll be eating them.
So we're not using a box of brownie mix. It's not a packaged, processed gluten free brownie mix. Not that we're against that, but it's not what we're doing.
We're gonna.
These are healthy from scratch. Super quick and yummy and okay, now here's the deal. You can use any cacao. We like raw cacao. But this is the brand I use and she's my friend so I'm going to share her brand and I like it. It's yummy. So those of you who've been following me for a while know I talk about Mito XL a lot because it's like the super powered raw cacao and I'm pretty much addicted to it at this point.
Yeah, it does double duty. It's going to help your cells, it's going to help with energy, it's going to help with recovery. And if you're starting out on a new fitness plan, it's going to help you with that energy that you need to go each day to be motivated. And it tastes amazing. And there's nothing artificial, it's all natural. It's gluten free.
Amazing recipes too. It makes these. Okay, so we're making these. You guys ready? So right down there you are. We're getting a little freeze action, but.
Yeah, it's coming back.
Okay, so what do we have here? What are the ingredients?
Okay, super simple. We're going to use a nutribullet, but you can use a blender. So we need a blender and we have.
What is this?
These are one can.
You guys are going to laugh, but this is one of the ingredients. What is that? It's not coffee beans.
Those are black beans.
Black beans are going here. So we've got fiber and protein happening.
Absolutely. So you're gonna drain one can of black beans. If you can't do organic, if you do low sodium, that's great.
But just one can drain one can of black beans.
And we're gonna put those in. In here.
All right, so let's do this. She's gonna. I make a mess in the kitchen, so she's. We're gonna let her.
I like how you wore brown today too. Just.
I wear brown just in case. So if I get brown beans on me, it just matches my shirt, and you guys won't really know. That's what makes it so perfect. Right?
So there you go.
Okay. Brown beans in the blender.
And to that we're gonna add Mito xl.
Cacao. Raw cacao. How much do we have in here?
I believe that's about a third of a cup.
A third of a cup. Okay, so don't look at that third of a cup raw cacao. We're using Mito xl. So we're using this raw cacao, which is my favorite brand. Okay, wait, do we add this now? Yeah. Okay, Add it there again, wearing brown. Wear brown when making brown recipes for an ink. Okay, then what are we adding?
And then that is raw honey. Local raw honey. Now raw honey. What that does, it can help with allergies, and it gives you a healthy sweet. So we're not using any processed sugar. It's raw honey.
Raw honey.
And then we've got some vanilla. I just need a warm.
Oh, give me more. Okay, then what is this? Vanilla.
That's vanilla.
How much vanilla?
That's two teaspoons.
Okay, two teaspoons of vanilla. Also brown. So if I spill, it just blends right on in. So, yes, gluten free can still be a lot of carbs. And I'm gonna cover that rose after. But the goal is here. Everything I share is gluten free. Because, one, I'm a celiac, and I like things coming from an unprocessed natural food diet. And when you use unprocessed natural foods, those are naturally gluten free. Your body recognizes that because we're adding the vanilla. How much vanilla did we say that was?
I believe two teaspoons.
Two teaspoons of vanilla.
And then this is just a pinch of salt. You can use Himalayan. You can use sea salt, whatever salt you have around.
Just a of pinch. Pinch.
Just pinch that in there.
Pinch. Okay.
And we are good to go.
Okay, so wait, how long did that take so far? That was like two minutes. And this is reconnecting. Oh, then we got some coconut oil right here.
Coconut oil melted. Dump that in there.
Lots of good stuff. Where do they get mitoxcel? Somebody's asking.
Mitoexcel.com or on Amazon.
Okay, perfect.
And so we're gonna put it in our nutribullet.
Okay. It's gonna be noisy. Kimberly saying, name a product. Kimberly. Is this.
All right, Noise is done.
Oh, now we got. What's going on here? Eggs.
Three eggs in there.
Okay. So three eggs. Could they use if they didn't want to use eggs? If they're vegan, what can they do?
They can use a flaxseed meal ground up with some water in it.
How much would they use flaxseed meal?
Probably about a third of a cup.
I'll look at. Okay. So if you're vegan, you can use. Use flax meal instead.
Okay, absolutely. Or a vegan yogurt.
It looks like I want to lick it. Yeah.
This is like frosting. I did lick it the other day. Go for it. Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Seriously, I got, like, dangerous.
That's good. Sweet, right?
Can you tell there's beans in there?
No. Oh, my gosh. I forgot there's beans in here. You guys, seriously, don't even think about.
It now because it's just brownie.
Bathroom now. And so are we gonna have, like, bloat issues with beans, do you find or what do you find when you make it?
Absolutely not. When you make it like this, the. It's such a minimal amount. When you're eating just one or two brownies, you're definitely not going to have any.
And you get that extra fiber and protein, so it's yum.
And then these. Because we want to mix up the flavor and not just be doing straight chocolate. We're going to add some mint essential oil.
Peppermint.
Essential oil.
So if they don't have essential oil. Peppermint. Could they use, like, peppermint extract?
You could, absolutely.
So peppermint extract is going to give a little peppermint flavor.
Absolutely.
Okay, now don't lick the bowl when there's raw eggs. Right. Don't do that. You can lick this. So I. It's good, you guys. This is so good. Let's see. You can't tell that I spilled it because I'm wearing grabbed.
So we're gonna pop these into a greased baking pan.
What did you grease it with?
Coconut oil.
Okay, so coconut oil. Don't use olive oil. You just need a little coconut oil to grease it or some butter or ghee a little bit. Right.
And then only watch them in the oven. So you want to bake these at 350 for about 12 minutes. Keep an eye on them, and that's it.
So we're gonna Pretend that we're not on video for, like, this. How long do we bake it? 12 minutes. Check it. 12 minutes on 350. 358.
Crazy.
And you can add if you want. When it's done cooking, what we're gonna do, we topped it with some chopped walnuts and some coconut flakes because it makes it look pretty and it tastes good, adds a little bit more protein and some more good fats and make some colorful. So that's what we like.
So.
Okay, guys, look. This is the finished product. Look at this. All right, you guys want to try one? Okay, ready? I'm trying it for you.
Cheers.
Wait, get over here. Lauren. Wait. Mindy, get over here. Say hi to everyone.
They're good.
Mindy, come say hi.
Lauren.
You guys, look. Say hi, Mindy. Hi. They're trying one too. What do you guys think? I don't know. I'm going to do this one. It has both. Ridiculous, right? Oh, my God. Mindy, did you try? Not yet. Hang on. Try. Oh, my God. I cannot believe there's beans in here. This is crazy, you guys. It just tastes like really best.
Brownie, baby.
Yeah, Moist brownie. Moist brownie. Oh, my God. You guys, you have to make these. You guys, if you're following Chinging my mouth full, it's not good. If you're following my program, these are approved. You can eat these on my program. Nice. Even better. These should be in my cookbook. These are good.
And you can find these at.
You guys, we're gonna comment with some links, make sure that we answer all that. But I want to answer questions. What do you guys have for me or Courtney or for anything? Courtney, I know we're gonna post the recipe, but can you just run through really quick for those of you. Them that just jumped on or they're taking notes, like, just run through what it was.
Absolutely. So you've got a cup of Mito xl.
Okay, so raw cacao, or what we use is Mito xl, which is my favorite brand.
And then you need a can of black beans, preferably organic and low sodium.
Correct. Black beans.
Yes. Vanilla.
Wait, wait. Time out. How did you figure out black beans?
So it's a funny story. My aunt actually has been a part of a cookbook for. For generations. For 50 years. And there was a black bean cake in there, and I went, that's weird cake. And I had to experiment, and they.
Came out more like brownies. Is it because. Do you think it's the consistency it gives off that makes it that moist?
Yeah, that Real dense. And when they're boiled, they make that it's real smooth. They get all soft.
So, okay, so black beans, what else?
I liked vanilla, honey and three eggs. What else did I add? Oh, and a pinch of salt.
So, you guys, not only that, we've upped the protein because we've added, we have the eggs and we have the black beans, plus we added some of the walnuts after. So we upped that protein content. So these are healthy. You guys, I forgot coconut oil. Coconut oil.
Healthy fat. Really good for your brain and your body will burn the fat if you're giving it fat.
Love coconut oil. So. And that is, it's a very Felix thing. It looks rich, you guys. That tastes rich. That tasted like unhealthy brownies.
Like a cake that took all day to make. But.
And that was unhealthy for you and that was good for us. It was so moist and yummy. So you guys have to try that. It was awesome. I love it. And somebody saying, I did this. A low fat box of brownies. Can I fat. So, you guys, here's the thing. I'm not a fan of the package. There's a couple brands I'd be okay with, but for the most part, I'm not a fan of the package stuff because you're looking at processed foods, ends and I like as much as possible, you want unprocessed natural foods. If you buy something that comes in a bag or a box, I want you to be able to define the ingredients. For example, in my Oxcel, this is in a bag, but it's natural. Real food. I know what every ingredient on here means. So if you pick up a box or a package, if you could define the ingredients, that's a good sign. So that's what I want you looking at. And if you can make something from scratch that's so simple and so easy, why not do that? I mean, it's better for you. And this is an example of something.
It's super easy, super healthy. And everything comes. You know where it came from. Someone asked how much coconut oil it was. A third of a cup. And then the oil that we used was young living peppermint essential oil.
And then Alice, Karen, you guys are asking Valerie for the recipe, please. We did repeat the recipe twice through this video, but we will make sure that we comment in and do that when we're not on here and we'll make sure that we do that. Is the recipe also on my Toe Excel's website? Yes, it is also on there.
It's on our Instagram itoxl. There's a video of me making them really fast in my kitchen.
And Jordan just. Hi, Jordan. Hi, Jordan. And he posted the links for mito Excel right there. So you can do that. And Christina. Yes. We're going to post the link after Jeff is asking, what's Mito Excel? So it's raw cacao. But I'm gonna let her, like, super, super power.
So mito is raw cacao with a purpose. It's got four other ingredients that synergistically work together to give your cells some energy. They rebuild your mitochondria, which are your cells power plants. So think of it as, like energizing your cells.
And it's chocolate and it tastes. It's the best tasting cacao I've literally ever had. I talk about it more than I probably should because I, like, love it.
We appreciate that.
I love it.
You guys tastes. It's healthy for you too.
And you guys ship everywhere, right?
Absolutely. If you're in Europe, we will just need to talk to you and figure it out, but absolutely.
So anywhere you can get her stuff. And it works on my cookbook. How much honey? They wanted to know raw honey.
Honey was half a cup.
Half a cup. And where do they buy my. You can get it on their website or on Amazon.
Absolutely.
MitoExcel.com and it's yummy, you guys. And she's got. She comes up. I gotta show the mess here. You talk. You can talk for a second. I'll show the other things she made up.
So one really great thing you can do with these brownies is customize them. So if you like black forest brownies with cherries, you can put those on top when it comes out of the oven or right before. And we've got tons more recipes on how to use it on mynoxil.com so.
Guys, look. Okay, so do you know we had this many of them last time Courtney was here, she showed me how to make chocolate candies. And we made them for our recent. My recent book launch party. We made all these and we were taking.
Some of. Those are so dangerous.
You tell them real quick what's in these. So they can.
These are can candies. Okay. So most of the time when you buy candy, you don't know what you're buying, how long it's been on the shelf. These are just three ingredients. Mito xl, maple syrup and coconut oil. And you can make them in your refrigerator in about an hour.
And the cool thing about them is if I'M having a chocolate craving or something. I literally just need one of them and I'm. It's like some chocolate because there's such processed junk, you can't stop eating them. And you, like, want more and more. These are so good and rich. But you have one and you're done.
It hits the fix.
You're totally good to go.
Yeah, absolutely.
So, you guys, what more questions do you have? Usually have a discount on their insta. They have one of. These are discount. Yeah. Natalie Jill.
You can use coupon code Natalie Jill.
And you also have one on your Instagram too. Yes, we do.
And totally safe for kids. I saw someone saying your daughter wants to make them. My son is 13 and my other one is 11. They make Mido shakes every single day and they love it.
And Angie saying, it's your seventh day on the jump start. She lost six pounds. Go, Angie. That's awesome.
She's doing me.
You guys. Who else is doing my jump start right now? These are approved on here. You can make these brownies on my Jumpstart.
I made the turkey burgers this weekend. My kids loved them. The grilled pineapple was.
Hey, Kim White says, can you see my comments? I can see that comment. Did you have a question, Lisa? You're welcome. Veronica's the recipe for the candy on your website? I think it is, yes. And it's on my website too.
Both.
Exactly. It's on both of our websites. And. Oh, good, Valerie. Valerie found the website recipe. Hey, Lori. We did it twice in the video, but we're gonna post it also. Marie, you bought my book. Thank you, Marie.
And you can go to Mito Excel's Instagram or Mito Excel's page and find the recipe there too. But we'll get it up in just a bit.
Yeah, awesome. Thanks, you guys. Oh, your kids like the pudding from your junkie too? I like the pudding, too. Thanks, you guys. We'll be back again. I mean, I should bring Courtney back, right?
