How to change what is holding you back from RESULTS [LIVE CLASS] | Natalie Jill

This is a YouTube video titled "How to change what is holding you back from RESULTS [LIVE CLASS] | Natalie Jill" recorded in January 2019. It features a live class led by Natalie Jill, a licensed master sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer, who guides participants through a motivational and reflective session focused on overcoming mental barriers to achieve personal goals such as weight loss, confidence, and life improvement. The session includes interactive elements with participants, such as a woman named Shelly, discussing goal setting, core motivators, and mindset shifts necessary for transformation.
Live. Welcome. For those of you new to these LIVE classes, I'm Natalie Jill. I'm a licensed master sports nutritionist and functional fitness trainer. But what I do is I kill fat for a living. So I kill those false assumed truths that get stuck in our heads about aging and what holds us back from our goals and whether that's weight loss, whether that's earning more money, whether that's creating a bigger life, increasing our relationships, fixing them, whatever it is. That's what I do, is I help you clear out what's in that gap about those false assumed truths that we believe that are holding us back. So I'm going to be diving deep into this today and giving you some takeaways and things that you can implement right away. So before I get started, I want to share with you how to use Zoom. If you're new to this and if you are on Live With Me, if you're on Live With Me, just a few things. One, you'll notice that you can hover over your video and you could turn.
It on or off.
Ideally, if you can keep it on, that would be amazing. It's recording primarily me, not you necessarily. But I want to be able to connect with you and see your face, and that way I can see if you're raising your hand, see if you have questions, see if you're following along, whatever it is. So if you're open to turning on your video, that would be amazing. So I can connect with you. Also notice that you have a mute button on or off. I've muted everybody. I've muted everybody. However. However, when you raise your hand and there's a question, I will unmute you. It might get stuck sometimes and I'll need you to unmute yourself. Okay. You'll also notice that you can physically raise your hand and I can see you. If you've got your video on or if you hover over, there's a place to raise a hand. It's a little cartoon hand, so I can see that you have a question, so feel free to use that. There's also a chat box on your right side, so you can type questions there at any time that you have. And I'll make sure I see that. So first of all, welcome everyone. Thanks for being on. If you don't have paper and pen nearby, please grab that. You're going to want to jot down some notes. So ideally you've got that so you can write things down. If you've heard this class before, it's totally okay. There's Always new things you can pick up and different questions that come up. So still write down what's coming up for you so you can get the most out of it. Okay, awesome. Ok. So first and foremost, I want to ask you all and raise your hand if you agree with this, that if it was easy to accomplish goals, if it was easy to accomplish goals, that we would have already done it. What I mean is we typically know steps. So let's say your goal was to lose weight. You know deep down that if you ate better and you worked out more that you should lose weight. Like we know textbook. That's what should work. Raise your hand if you know that. If it was easy, it would have happened. Because a lot of times it gets. People think there's this magic secret, it's these things. But what happens is it's not as easy. So I just wanted to first start out and say that I want to acknowledge that it's not as easy as people make it. A lot of times you'll see marketers talking into weight loss or earning more money or creating a bigger life, and they act like it's just so easy. And things could be simple, it could be a simple concept, but it's not that they're easy. They're not supposed to be easy because if it was just completely easy to accomplish any goal, you wouldn't need to be here, right? You wouldn't need to be here in this class right now. If it was super easy, you could just decide to accomplish a goal and it happened. So I want to start by thanking you for being here, for taking that first step. Excuse me. And I'm going to start with a few questions because it's really critical that we know exactly where we're starting from in order to make a shift and grow and change. If you were sitting here in front of me and you were a weight loss client of mine, the very first thing we would have to do is get really clear with where you're starting from, which would look like I would need to take measurements. We would want to take some before pictures. I'd want you to hop on the scale. We'd have to get really, really clear with where it is you're starting from. So. So we can change. A lot of times women come to me and they say, I just want to be happy or I just want to be fit. But they're not looking at necessarily exactly where they're starting from. They just know they're unhappy. So whatever your goal is, I'm going to take a little Deep dive right now into where it is that you're actually starting from. And I would love for you to write down these things and write down your feelings around them so you have an accurate perspective of where you're actually starting starting from. Okay? So I'm going to prompt you with some questions to think about. If your answer is not yes to these questions, it may trigger a different question or a different feeling that you're experiencing. And so I want you to write that down. Okay, you ready? All right, here we go. So my first question is, are you feeling a little overweight or a lot overweight? Write it down if you are, and start it with I feel or I am. So whatever you're feeling and use the word that accurately describes what goes through your head. So, like, maybe it's I feel chubby, maybe it's I feel fat. Maybe it's I feel I've gained a few pounds. Maybe it's I feel I've gained a lot of pounds. Whatever it is, write down where it is you accurately are today feeling about your weights. My next question is, do you feel ever like the ship has sailed, like it's too late, like you had your opportunity when you were younger, but it's gone now? Write that down. Be honest with yourself. No one's going to see these, by the way, except for you right now. So be really honest with yourself so you have an accurate place of where you're starting from. My next question is, do you feel low on energy and use the word that describes you. Like, I feel super tired or I feel fatigued all the time. What do you feel? Maybe it's exhausted. Do you feel exhausted? Do you feel achy or in pain, sore? Does it hurt to get out of bed? Does it hurt to sit? How do you feel? Do you feel like it's too late? Do you ever feel like it's too late to make a change? Do you find yourself thinking things like, 55 and I'm supposed to feel bad? Like, do you make stories around what you're. Do you justify how you're feeling? Or do you say things like, I'm older, I'm supposed to be unhappy in my job or in my marriage or my life? Write it down if you do, and be honest. My next question is, do you find yourself making excuses? And we all know what those excuses are. Do you find yourself saying, I would, but I could if I would have. However, do you find yourself backing up with a reason or an excuse? This is a big question, and this comes up a lot with Women, do you feel that you've let yourself go? Whatever that means to you? Do you feel you've let yourself go? Do you find yourself looking for others in your situation to validate that it's okay how you're feeling? Like, if you are feeling like, you know, I let myself go, do you try to find other women your age that have also let themselves go to sort of make it okay? Like, do you justify letting yourself go? This is a big question. Do you feel like you are hiding how you really feel? Do you ever feel that way? Here's another one I love. And these questions come from what women tell me. So that's where I'm getting a lot of these from. And they come from how I felt at one time or another. Do you feel like you live in the past? Like, do you compare to yourself to the past? Do you say, like, when I was in college or when I was in high school or when I was a kid or 10 years ago? Do you live in the past and find yourself comparing? Like, if you were to scroll Instagram and see people with what you want, do you say things like, well, I had that when I was, you know, this age. Do you find yourself comparing and living in the past and remember you're going to use words like, I feel like. Do you feel like you hide the truth about how you feel? Do you feel that you've lost your confidence? Does that come up for you? What about your motivation, your drive, your ambition? Have you lost that? Do you say things like, I used to be ambitious, I used to be motivated. Do you feel unmotivated? You know, the most common statement I get from women is how do I get and stay motivated? That's the number one question and comment. How do I get and stay motivated? So do you feel that you fall into that? Like, I lost my motivation, I don't have motivation, I don't know how to be motivated. Write that down. Be honest. Are you unhappy in your relationships? And be specific. Like with your spouse, with your children, with your co workers, with your friends, Are you unhappy in relationships? Next one. Do you feel disconnected? Like you're kind of out of the loop, not connected? And then what about isolated? Do you feel like you isolate? Are you feeling isolated? Then do you hate your career path? And let me explain what I mean by that. Some of you listening, work for somebody, some of you are entrepreneurs, some of you are full time stay home moms or housewives, Some of you don't have a career path at all and you're stuck, Whatever that is to you, however you spend your time. Do you hate your career path or your business or what it is that you're currently doing? And I want you to write down like, I hate this or I dislike or whatever it is. And remember, only you are saying this. And I want you to be honest here. Do you feel unworthy? Now, these questions I asked you just now, I speak specifically to women in their 40s and 50s, and these are what come up. But if you're listening to this and you are outside of those parameters or you're not relating to those, you still can find value in this by listing what you are feeling in your situation right now. So maybe you didn't relate to these questions, but really get honest with where you are in your life right now. Like, where are you starting from? And I can't repeat enough how important it is to have an accurate starting point of where it is that you're feeling, like taking a deep reflection. And. And as much as it doesn't feel good sometimes to do that and we don't want to think about it, or we think we're getting negative, if we don't have an accurate, clear understanding of where it is that we're starting from, it's very hard to move forward. I would give the same advice to somebody that is failing in their business or that is hurting financially or has a bad marriage. It might feel painful to look at where you're starting from. You might want to avoid. But if you don't really get clear on, okay, what am I dealing with here? Like, where am I actually starting from? It's very hard to. To increase, fix, measure, build from. So I want you to really spend some time. Even if you go back to this recording later or you're going to elaborate on this page, this is really important to do. Okay, cool. Raise your hand if you're sort of complete on this section for now, just so I know where we are. Okay, cool. Thank you. Okay. And I want you to write on top of that page. Before you turn the page, just write in big bold letters, all caps. Be honest, because you're probably gonna revisit this. And I want you to always know, be honest and know that no one's looking at this but you. And if you need to, you can even say, you know, you can crumple it up and throw it away later when you're done. But I want you to, if you're scared someone's gonna see it, or I want you to really dive deep into, make sure you're being really Honest with where you're starting from. I'll share that in my own personal life. I'll take business, for example. I was at a point in my business last year where I would see revenue coming in, but things weren't working well in a lot of ways. They weren't working well in a lot of ways. And I kept focusing on the positive and what's coming in and the help and what I'm going to create. And I didn't want to look at, like, where am I actually? Like, what are the results? Like, what is the actual. I thought I hated numbers. Like, I would justify. I don't like numbers. I don't want to look at details. But things were not shifting for me until I would dive in and actually take a hard look at that. So it's so critical that you actually look at where you're starting from. Like, it's so many women say, I don't want to even get on the scale. But if you don't get on the scale and you don't have a starting point and a reality check, it's very hard to grow from there. So that's why I have you saying, be honest. Okay, what I want you to do now is grab either a new piece of paper or turn the page, but different, different piece of paper so it's not on that same sheet. And I want you to write on top of it. Where do you want to go? Where do you want to go? This part's really fun if you let yourself imagine and fantasize. And I'm tapping into now how you want to feel, how you want to be, more so than even what do you want to do? Okay. How do you want to feel? How do you want to be? So I'm going to prompt you with some questions and feel free to just journal on your own where you want to be and how you want to feel. Or you can listen to these questions and use them as a guide. Ready? Okay. My first question is, how do you really want to feel? And I encourage you to use words other than happy. Get more specific. I want to feel confident, relevant, whatever those words are. Sexy, hot, pretty, attractive, beautiful, strong, abundant. How do you want to feel? Be honest. How do you really want to feel? Do you want to feel confident? Again, we're confident for the first time. And I want you to use things like, I feel as it's actually now, Not I want to feel, but I feel confident. So we're in the future. Do you want to feel relevant? Do you want to feel relevant? Do you want to feel important? How about attractive? Do you want to feel attractive, Beautiful even? Use the word that lands with you. Sexy, hot, vibrant? Do you want to feel authentic, like you are enough, like being you, you can truly be you? Do you want to feel inspirational, value, like a role model? How about, do you want to feel in control or like you run the day? So many times I hear women say, gosh, I feel so overwhelmed. Like the day just gets away from me. I don't know where the time goes. I'm answering and helping everybody else but myself. Do you want to feel in control? Like you run the day? Like you wake up and you have this day that you're in control of? What about confident and inspiring? Do you want to feel those things? How about when you show up on a date, whether that's with a spouse or with friends or like a dating date, when you show up on those, how do you want to feel? Write it down. Be honest. And what do you want your days to look or feel like? Fun, playful, stress free? How do you want your days to feel? Okay, I want you to turn the page again or draw a big line underneath this. And I want you to write down, it was the best year of my life. And then put like, dot, dot, dot. So I want you to imagine now that it is 2020 and we are back on this call right here together, back on this class, and you had literally the best year of your life. Close your eyes for a minute if you need to, but I want you to envision that everything you wanted to happen this year, who you wanted to step into, who you wanted to become, that's the person on this call right now in 2020. You're all those things that we just listed out. You're abundant, you're confident, you're sexy, you're beautiful, whatever it is, it's the best year of your life. I want you to write out, think about and write out what had to have happened with you. And I'm going to prompt you with, like, what had to happen with your weight and your health. I don't care if it sounds unrealistic or your mind is going to unrealistic or the how. Stop yourself from going to the how. So if you're like, if maybe you're thinking, I'm 100 pounds lighter, maybe that's what you're thinking. I don't want you to think about but how. Nothing's worked for me before. Don't even go to the how yet. So I'm going to get to the how. But we're fantasy world right now. Okay? So maybe it's I made a million dollars. Maybe it's I started a new business. Maybe it's I got married. Maybe it's I fix my relationship with my spouse or my kids or my family or my friends. Maybe you've got an amazing social life. But it's a year from now. What had to happen? I want you to meet. This is my friend Nicole right here. So when I met Nicole. Can you guys see her right here? Okay. So when I met Nicole, this was her. And all those things, all those questions I asked you earlier, like, how do you. Where are you Starting from that list? A lot of it came from her. That's what she was. That's how she would have described her. And I took her through this process at one of my Breakthrough weekends. This was her. Then I took her through that process of where do you want to go? And we went through the whole, like, not getting in your head about the how and that. We have tried everything. And she stood at the top of a mountain. We do this exercise at Breakthrough where we make a declaration out loud to our small group, and we make it in a place that is visual and you can really smell it, feel it, be there. And she said, I'm going to be in a yellow. I think she said yellow, polka dot bikini, like from the song. And I'm going to feel confident, sexy, hot in a year. And she did not let her mind go to. We wouldn't let her mind go to the how. And I just want to share. This is Nicole today. Look at her. It's amazing, right? Beautiful, all those things. She's confident, she's sexy, she's hot. She feels all those things now. And her life has changed because of it. But it started with this very process that we're doing right now. So this is powerful right now. Okay. If you take this seriously, this could be life changing for you. We tend to not visualize what it is that we want and where we want to go. Right. I mean, it goes back to being a kid. I mean, how many of you. I lived this. I told my husband last night. I still get triggered by it. How many of you lived with teachers that would say, pay attention, stop daydreaming, stop fantasizing, or parents that would tell you that that was my life as a kid. Daydreaming, fantasizing, visualizing. That's what builds us. That's where we get these ideas. That's what we step into. But we're told as kids to Pay attention. Stop daydreaming, Stop fantasizing. And then as we grow and get older, we get stuck in our heads with the how and evidence of why things don't work right. Like, we won't even let ourselves dream about becoming a millionaire or losing £100 or whatever it is because we think we can't even get there. Like, we get stuck with the how. Okay, so it's the best year of your life. It's 2020. We're back on this call. Like, Nicole, maybe you're in a bikini on the call because you're so dang proud of yourself. I don't know, maybe that's where you are or you're on there from your new boat because you've made so much money this year. Like, you're just thriving. Maybe that's you. So I want you to picture, like, where you are right now a year from now. You know, we're in fantasy world. Where is it that you are going now? I want you to say. I want you to write down the emotion, the emotions that you associate with that. How are you feeling? How are you feeling? Okay. I would love to. I'm going to give you an opportunity right now to share this and let me just share one thing with you. Definitely not mandatory to share. I've done these classes where everyone wants to share, and I've done classes where no one shares, but I want to. I'm about to get into a process with you of how to make things a reality. So every time you take action towards one of these things, I'm going to ask you right now, the more likely things happen. Right? So is there anyone on here that wants to share with the group right now what it is that you decided has happened by 2020, this time was the best year of your life and how you feel. Who wants to share that publicly? Just raise your hand if you're open to it. Yes, Shelly, I see you. Hi, Shelley.
Hi, Natalie.
Hi.
Can you hear me?
I can hear you. Ok.
It was the best year of my life because I lost 20 more pounds. I am flexible. I don't ache. Mark and I are on the same page as to what happiness is. I feel worthy and that others see that I also have value. I feel that I am now appreciated for what I can bring to the table.
I love it. Were you actually, when we were doing this exercise, I know it went through quick, but were you actually able to visualize you in that spot?
Yes.
Great. And how did that feel? Doing that.
Feels. It feels good and it feels Good. Because not only had I reached my point where I wanted to be, but it feels like I've accomplished something because I worked for it.
Yeah, I love that. So you feel worthy and relevant and deserving. And deserving.
I love it because it wasn't given to me.
Yeah. Amazing. Thank you so much for sharing, Shelley. Is there anybody else that would like to share right now? Just raise your hand if you do. Okay. Okay. So how do we get there? Does everyone want to know? How do we get there? Who wants to know that? Because that is the next step. Right? Well, first I want to point out that you are best thinking everything you've done in your life up until this point right now, your best thinking and practices got you to right here, this moment. So just like we had to do that mirror exercise of where are we starting from? Know that everything that you know to date got you to right here. Because here's why I point this out. As I get into the process of action, steps you can take to start to making a shift right now, your brain is going to start justifying why what I'm saying might not be right. And you're going to go back to your experiences. Well, this. And what I want to share is I'm not going to argue with you on if you're right or wrong. That's not what's going to happen. I'm not going to persuade you that you must do what I'm sharing. Okay? But I want you to recognize your best thinking. Your best thinking and all of your actions got you to right here, right here to what you wrote on that mirror. And what you want to get to is what you wrote on page two. Do you all see that? So I'm going to challenge you. I'm going to position it for you to challenge yourself. That when you feel defensive or argumentative or your brain starts going to why what I'm sharing is maybe not right. Okay? Just know your best thinking got you to where you are right now. And that's what I would come back and say to you. That doesn't mean I'm right or you're wrong or it doesn't mean anything other than your best thinking got you to where you are right now. You know, a lot of times on social media, for those of you that follow me on social media, not a lot of times, but every now and then I get what we call haters. Right? You guys know what a hater is? And they'll chime in with why when I'm sharing isn't. Doesn't work, whatever I'm sharing, I can be talking about nutrition, fitness, money, it doesn't matter. I could be saying I like puppies and they don't like puppies, they like cats. Whatever it is they might chime in with. What I'm sharing is not accurate, but their thing is, right? You know what my response is? Every single time? Every single time is, if that works for you, amazing. Because I believe that if that works for you, amazing, you don't need me. But if your best thinking and actions got you to right here, right now, and you're not happy with that, what do you have to lose by shifting and trying something different? What do you have to lose? It's not going to get worse. It's not going to get worse now if you don't shift your thinking and try something different and you keep doing what you've always done. What's at risk? What's at risk? Anyone want to take any guesses at what's at risk? Whoops. What'd you say, Shelly?
I think I said failure, but I think I meant the fear of failure.
Okay, so if you don't do anything, there's a fear of failure. Okay, so here's what. If you don't do anything, here's what can happen. It could stay the same or it could get worse. It would be very unlikely that it's just going to fix itself. If you don't do anything and you stay the same, it's not going to just magically fix itself. It doesn't happen that way. It doesn't work that way. You have to make a change. Now, here's the bad news. It's more. It's likely to get worse and stay the same. You know why we're getting older. The years are going by. Eventually it will be too late. The ship definitely will sail. We'll find more and more people to validate what's wrong as we get older, and it will get worse. So that's the reality of what's going to happen if you don't fix this. Now, I'm not saying I'm the person for you. You might, like, hear everything I'm saying and go, you know what? I don't resonate with her. And that's okay. I'm not expecting everyone to resonate with me. But know that your best thinking and actions got you to where you are. So it is time to make a change or you risk it getting worse. So be very clear that that's the case, that things are not going to just happen by Chance, you're not going to keep doing your thoughts and actions and have it all of a sudden, just like magically wake up to that vision you just shared. So it's really important that you recognize that. Ok, so I'm going to talk about the start of the solution. This is the fun part. You ready? And before I do that, I'm going to show you some. I like showing real life examples because real life examples, you'll relate to somebody's story. And I want you to show you first, I'm going to start with me now, this picture. I always, I have to explain this picture when I show up because it's like, this is my old story, right? This is. I'm going to show you a picture of me 11 years ago now. 11 years ago. Like, I can't exactly say I'm a new mom at this point because she's 11, like going on 21, basically my daughter. But let me explain, let me reference point. I'm five foot two. I had my daughter at age 36, okay? I was 36 when I had her, when she was born. I am 5 foot 2 and I gained 60 pounds more than I am now when I was pregnant. So £60 more than I weigh today. And it was definitely not from hormones and just being pregnant, because that doesn't happen either. Just so you know, we have to be eating and not taking action to gain weight. My daughter weighed a little over six pounds when she was born. The placenta definitely did not weigh 50 pounds. So this was me right after I had her. Okay, so she's like a little peanut there. But I want you to just notice my legs, my face, whatever. Got it. I was pregnant. So I'm not going to. I get it. Like everyone. Well, I do a look and go, you're pregnant. But what you don't know here is that is what I just shared, that I was 60 pounds heavier. I was going through one of the worst times of my life. My happy part was that I had my daughter. I was excited about that. And that is my dog Bean, who I lost two years ago, by the way. I miss beam. But this was my daughter and I should have been happy, but I was going through a divorce. Do you guys remember what was going on in 2008, 2009, by the way? Stock market had crashed, the housing market had crashed. I, for the first time in my life, was in massive debt. I could no longer afford my house. My retirement had dropped. I had tried to refinance many times and they wouldn't let Me, I blamed everyone but myself. I was depressed. I ate more, and I honestly didn't know what I was gonna do with my life. Now I had a job. I had a job in corporate that I was not passionate about. I sold dental implants. I was a sales director for dental implants. How exciting is that? I wasn't passionate about it. And I traveled full time, so I knew I had to take a demotion because I couldn't travel all the time and be a single mom. So this person here felt all those things that I listed out earlier, irrelevant. My time was passed. I remember thinking, maybe this is what's supposed to happen. Maybe you are supposed to gain weight, all that when you are pregnant. But I went through this process I am about to share with you, and that is what got me here. Okay? That's what got me here. So first and foremost, I wanted to show you that was me. And that person here, this girl right here, would have never imagined that ten years later I'd be here. I would have never. Ten years later, at 47, I was there. I would have never imagined that. Or how about even here? That's me. I never in a million years thought I would be on the COVID of Women's World inspiring others in my 40s, my late 40s. So I'm sharing that. I went through this, too. Okay, I also want to share. I showed you Nicole earlier. Another example. I want to also show you Terri. I love showing Terri because this was Terri when I met her. All those things that I asked you, she was feeling all of them. This is Terri now. This is Terri now. And her best thinking got her here. Okay, another one, Karen. A lot of you know Karen before Karen. Now, these are women approaching 50 or 50. These are not young spring chickens. Just want to share. Okay, Here's a new favorite one. This one just came through on text this weekend. We all know her. This is Landa. Love Landa. Landa was very much in her head. Of all the things that she thought she knew, right? This is Landa. Now look at her. Amazing. But what I want to share, you guys, it's not just about the weight and how she looks. She has her confidence back. She's thriving, she's happy. She's creating. She's creative again. She's energetic, she's motivated. She's a new person. A new person. Two more I'm going to show you. Susanna. Susanna. Now, she looks like she's 20. She's a grandma. Look at her. Amazing. Right? Then one more look at Amanda. Met her Here. What? Amanda is a doctor. She knew a lot of things, but her best thinking and thoughts got her here. This is her now. So it's possible this works. This is what I'm going to share with you. Are we ready? All right. Big day. Ok, so this is going to be the start of solution number one. You can be an entirely different person. You can be a new person. You can be that person in your vision a year from now by changing two things. Number one, your thoughts. What you think about defines who you become. What you think about defines who you become. If you think every day about that person in that mirror that you're starting from, you will stay that person. If you have thoughts like the person in the mirror right now, today, you will stay that person. If you change your thoughts and you start thinking the way the new you thinks, the new you, who is attractive, who is abundant, who has plenty of money for things, who's happy in relationships, who has fun in their life. If you start thinking like that person, you become that person. Now you have to take actions, too. I said thoughts and actions. So if you take actions like the person you're starting with, who do you become? You stay that person. However, if you start taking actions like your future self, watch out. Who do you become? What types of actions did this girl take? What was she thinking? Daily? Every day she was thinking certain things and taking certain actions and she stayed here. What kind of thoughts and actions has this person taken now? So many times we say here, when I become this, I'll start doing that. We have that backwards. When I become here, I'll start doing that. No, when I'm here, I'm going to start acting and thinking like this. And that's who I'm going to become. Remember earlier, at the beginning of this call, I said, I'm going to teach you things that are simple, but it doesn't make them easy. So this is a simple concept, but I'm not telling you it's easy. It's a commitment. It takes rigor and commitment. So I'm going to tell you how to do that. You ready? So thoughts and actions, and I'm going to tell you exactly how to start shifting it. And I'm also going to share. If you do these things, this changes everything for your life. But you got to really do them. That's the problem is we don't always just go and do them. You know, we get in our heads. So I'm going to write these things down. Number one. Number one is decide. Make a decision right now, here today, whether this is your fifth time watching this class, whether you've done a million programs before, whether you think you can't, whatever it is, decide, make a decision. Right now, many of you on here, I recognize your faces. You've heard me say this before, but you still hadn't done it. You still hadn't decided. Make a firm decision that this is happening. Whatever your goal is, this is happening. I am going to be a size this. I am going to be abundant with money. I am going to be somebody that's not stressed about money. I am going to feel confident. Decide who it is that you are going to be stepping into and who you are going to become. Decide it. That's step number one. Make a decision. Number two, by the way, all these steps I'm sharing are critical for this. If you don't take rigorous action and committed action on these things, it's very difficult to change your thoughts and actions. Number two, declare it. This is scary for people. Declaring it means you have to share it with somebody. The more people you share it with, the more likely it is to happen. Now, if we have a decision in our head but we don't share it with anyone, what happens? It probably doesn't happen. You know why? We have an out. We're not accountable to anybody. But the reason we don't declare it is we're scared. We're like, oh, if I tell somebody that I'm going to do this, that means I have to. Or what? If I don't do it, then I'm a failure. So we protect ourselves. We stay comfortable by not declaring it. It's scary as heck to declare something. Declare it. When I was this girl here, I didn't have Facebook followers yet. I had my hundred friends from high school at the time. This is, you know, 11 years ago. But I went on my Facebook page and I said, I'm done being this person. I'm going to be a fitness model. That's what I wrote. You know how scary that was? I was 36 at the time. Like, no one becomes a fitness model at 36. My friends laughed at me, but I didn't care. I had decided it was decision. I knew I was going to be an inspiration. I knew I was going to be fit, I was going to be competent. I declared it, and I declared it publicly. So you get to declare it. You get to tell your friends, your spouse, me, this group, whoever. But you tell people I've decided, and I declare this is happening. Number three, figure out your driving core motivator Those of you that have done my programs like Full Body Reset, know what driving core motivator is. Don't. It's going 10 levels deep with your why. So it's why do you want something? And getting really clear on why. It is. Usually your first answer to why is not the real reason. So I would love to take somebody through this process. If any of you are open to the coaching right now, and if not, I'm just going to give you an example. But if you're open to it, if you're really ready to make a decision, raise your hand and I'd love to bring you on. I'm going to take you through figuring out your driving core motivator. Anybody open to it? Let's see. Okay. No one's open to it right now. Okay, so just Shelly is. Okay. Shelly. Yay. Notice, by the way, girls, if you and guys that are on here, notice, by the way, that if you are not open to sharing, think through. What's that about? Like what you're not really ready to declare. So notice that too. It's okay. No right or wrong, just an observation. It's just feedback for you. Notice right or wrong. All right, Shelley, I'm ready. I'm going to have Brooks help with this process too, because this is Brooks's favorite process here. Okay, Brooke? He's been listening the whole time. Shelly. Okay, so you get both of us right now. Hi, Brooks. So we're going to take you through this process and you all can do your own. Your own. As I'm prompting Shelley too, I'm going to take you through the process and Shelley, just go with how you want to feel. Okay, so tell us first, what is your goal? What is it that you want?
My goal is to lose £20.
Good.
I think that. I think I want. I think I want to lose 20 pounds, but I don't know that that's actually my goal.
Okay, so let's. OK, let's start with. But you want to lose £20.
I want to lose £20. See how it feels. See if that's what's right for me. My ultimate goal is to be at the right healthy weight for me and to be in a healthy body. Not so much maybe a fitness weight watcher body, but a healthy body.
Okay, got it. Okay, so good. So we're getting there. We're getting close to the declaration and the goal. Okay. Why do you want it? I just want you to, without, like getting in your head, just go with, why do I want that? Why do you Want that, Shelley?
I want it because I want to be a healthy person.
Okay, good. Why do you. No. Now, I want you guys to notice. Usually people start with that first thing. I want to be a healthy person. And that's where it stops. Okay? And then what happens is motivate. Temptation comes up. You know, I slide a donut in front of her, or her friends are all going out or whatever it is. Next thing you know, she's like, I'll just have a donut right now. Right. Maybe that's not your example, but that's what tends to happen. So I'm giving you a secret weapon now, okay? Why do you want that?
I want that because I have three sisters who are very overweight and very not healthy.
And what does that mean? Your sisters that are overweight, not healthy, what does that mean to you?
It means that I'm the second out of the four sisters, and I'm probably gonna end up burying all three of them.
Oh, and if you bury all of them and you're not healthy, what does that mean then?
If I'm the healthiest out of them and I'm body, then, you know, it's like I need. I need to get healthy so that I can lead by example, so that I'm trying to get them on board as to seeing that it's not impossible.
Okay. So I want to take you out of your head for a minute. And how does that feel? If you lose all your sisters.
I would be devastated.
Right. And if you're devastated, it would be. Yeah. And that. What would that do to your life?
It would alter it because they're my support system. They're my family, they're my friends, they're my. They're my everything. So without them, I. I need to have them in my life.
Yeah. Because without them in your life, what does that mean? What does that make you?
Makes me. I mean, I have my husband, and that's good. And I have my son and his wife and my grandchildren, but I lose my past and my history if my sisters and siblings are gone.
Yeah. So stay there.
It's only in my head.
Stay there. So we're getting somewhere. Do you feel where we're getting right now, Shelly? Okay, so by losing your sisters and losing your past, then you feel what, non existent, Invisible?
Yeah. Yeah. If you don't, you don't have someone to share your past with.
If I use. I. I don't.
If I don't have someone to share my past with, and I don't have the people who know My past, then I kind of lost my identity.
Yeah. Okay. Okay. Do you see where we're going with this right here? Okay, so notice the first thing you said, Shelly, when I asked why was not what you're saying right now. We're getting to the root. We're just doing. We're just surface level right now, but we're getting to ramble. So I don't. No, no, not at all. We're getting to the root. Your driving core motivator. Your driving core motivator is not just, I want to get healthy, I want to lose 20 pounds. It's, I want to not. I want. I don't want to be invisible. I want to be powerful. I want to be motivational to my sisters. I want to save my family. I want to be connected.
That's what my goal is. That's what my goal is, to lead by example so that they can see what I've done and get them on board to do the same.
Okay, we're getting to your driving core motivator. Do you see this?
Yeah.
Okay, good. Thank you, Shelly, for being vulnerable and sharing. Thank you.
You're welcome.
So I hope you watch you all, all of you listening. You're doing this for yourself here. So when you tap into the right driving core motivator, you'll feel an emotion to it. There's always an emotion attached and our brains will try to stop us, like justify. Just like Shelly, you tried to stop yourself. But, oh, but I have. My husband and I have. You know, you start justifying. So as you're working through that process and I'm just scratching the surface here with you all on this topic, as you're going through that, know that going deeper on that is everything. Going deeper on that is everything. And you're getting somewhere. Ok, in addition to your driving pro motivator, I promise you a few other steps and action steps. The next thing, you want to get crystal clear, crystal clear on your vision. Remember that exercise we did? Where do you want to go a year from now? Where do you want to be a year from now? That's your vision. Letting yourself daydream, fantasize about it. What does it smell like? What does it look like? What does it feel like? But going deep on what is my vision? It's going to start to change your thoughts, start to change your thoughts that way. Thinking about that vision and think, what would that, Shelly, that's a year from now be doing? What would she be thinking about and what actions would she be taking? The next thing is Being really hyper aware of who and what you're taking in. So if you look at who you want to become, who is that person hanging out with? What is she reading? What is she listening to? What types of podcasts is she listening to? Is she watching reality TV or is she listening to podcasts? Is she watching the news or is she reading things that are going to uplift her? Is she sitting on the couch eating potato chips or is she walking? Is she moving? What is that person doing? Then there are actions. We hear a lot about massive action. Take massive action now. Massive action works. The problem with massive action is it can get overwhelming. If we think we have to do all these things to get to Z, we're at A and we're trying to get to Z, but we got to do all these things. We may never take a chance. We may never start. It's just too much to do. But if you take a little step forward every single day, like, I'm just going to take small steps forward in the right direction. Eventually you get there. So when you think about who's that person in the future, who's that person in that vision, who is that person? Take small actions every day as that person would, and those add up over time. Small steps every day make a big difference. The next thing, make sure you have a coach and a mentor. This is critical. I'm going to talk a little bit about investing in somebody and investing in yourself versus doing it free. You could do it both ways, but there's a reason to invest in yourself and invest in somebody. But get a coach and a mentor, find someone that's been there, done it, knows how to get where you want to go. So you have a formula to follow. Okay, here's what's going to happen next. So we're about 50 minutes in. If you feel that you got everything you needed from this call right now, just know you can. I won't be offended. You can totally jump off and go ahead and implement and go deeper on this and you've got the tools that you need. So I want to. Because we're going to shift directions a little bit and I want to make sure I'm not hiding anything from you or any of that. So everything I wanted to at least teach, I've given you the tools right now. So if you jump off now, not offended. Still love you, and I wish you the best for 2019 with us. What I'm about to do now is I'm going to do two things. I'm going to open up to questions and answers for sure, on anything. So you can ask me anything about what we covered. You can also ask me your own personal questions about fitness, nutrition, your goals, whatever you want. So I'll stay on with you and do that, give you some coaching, me and Brooks, But I'm also going to be sharing right now an opportunity that I have for just, I believe, 15 of you. Now, I had an opportunity for 20, but we've now solidified five of those spots. So there is opportunity for 15 of you. My absolute favorite thing to do, and it's the same thing that all those people I showed you attended is my breakthrough weekends. Now, my breakthrough weekend. What is that? That means you are here with me and Brooks for two and a half days basically. And you can't escape us. You're here in San Diego with us and we go deep on this stuff and we make it fun and life changing. So we basically go deep with you on your personal vision, your personal purpose, what's blocking you, what's holding you back, and we helped you shift out of that and we give you the tools and the experience to make it last for the year. Not only do we spend that weekend with you doing this, but we also give you three months of coaching and support around it. So we put you, we pair you with others, achieving, wanting the same types of breakthroughs, and we put you in a small group, never more than 10 people in these, and we help you through this, this week, in the weekend. Now what happens when people go and look at the breakthrough weekend? I'm going to show you how to apply in just a minute. The first thing that people do is they look at the dates and they go, okay, I can or I can't do those dates. Then they look at the price and a lot of things come up. And what's interesting is a lot of people check on this application. They are a 10 committed, 10 out of 10 committed. They check. I'm 10 out of 10, I'm gonna do everything I can do. I'm ready to try different things. I'm ready to step into my new self. And then they get to the price and what comes up, I can't afford it. I can't afford it. And they start justifying all these reasons why they can't afford it. This is what happens all the time. But I want to share that person in your vision absolutely can afford to invest in herself. If you knew that you could double your income next year if you could step into that body you wanted to step into, if you could Change your life and become that new person. Would your new person be willing to invest in yourself to do that? Just a question for you to ask yourself. I'm gonna have Brooks come over here and talk in just a minute, and I'm gonna. As he's sharing, I'm going to just show you how to apply. I'm going to. Actually, Liana, if you could type it in the chat link, all you have to do to apply is fill out this application. Just to be clear, we have. We have, I think now, about 54 applications, and we only have 20 spots total. We've accepted in five so far. So I'm just being really real that we have 15 spots left. That is it. So if you're at all considering, fill out the application. There's no obligation there. And you may or may not get a surprise call from Brooks. And we'll see, too. Brooks, you want to add in? Hi. And then I'm going to take questions too.
Yeah, I'm too tall.
Okay.
You know, the biggest thing is the reason you can't. Whatever that objection is, is the reason you must. So for some people, it's the time. You know, I don't have time for this. And it's. Well, how many other things in life do you not have time for? That's the thing that's holding you up. I mean, again, we do this for people predominantly in their 40s and 50s. You know, if you're in your 40s and 50s, I mean, again, I mean, I know it's. There's a price to it, but it's not like this is a half a million dollars or anything like that. I mean, we should be at a point in our 40s and 50s where if we can't spend a couple thousand dollars to invest in ourselves and have an amazing weekend and three months of coaching, that's showing up with the vacations that we want to take, that's showing up with the cars, the apartments, the houses. Pretty much everywhere that we go in life. You know, we go to the store. That's a nice check. Oh, I can't afford it. Where is I can't afford it Coming up. Because it's probably showing up absolutely everywhere. And really, that's just. It's just a mindset. It's just a belief set that's been ingrained. You know, we all have different things with those patterns for years, maybe we grew up without a lot of money. Our parents are, you know, put that away. We can't afford it. Put that away. We can't Afford it. And the way the brain works, it just looks in the past for evidence. It's an amazing search engine, but it only looks backwards. So it just goes backwards and gathers all this evidence going back to when we were kids, of all the times we couldn't afford something. So it's. Yep, you're right. We can't afford it. And so that's what it takes, is we have to. We have to break those patterns. And I had massive scarcity mindset, you know, just from the way I grew up. Like, I remember as a kid, you know, we're buying, like, a thousand, quote, unquote. Quote, unquote Q tips, but we get the fake ones. And it's like, dude, I just want a real Q tip. I want real cotton, not a plastic stick that's scraping my ear. And it's like, it's an extra $2. Can we just get real Q tips instead of, like. I don't know what they call the fake ones, but some of you are laughing like, you know what I'm talking about. Like, I want Cheerios, not Tosteos, from, like, whatever supermarket chain is, like, certain stuff, like, just want the real thing. But it's like, when we start negotiating and everything is generic and everything is. I can't afford it. You know, I can't do it unless there's a coupon. If, you know, you have to change that pattern or that'll keep stay with you until, like, you're on your deathbed, you know? But that's the thing. I didn't shift out of that really, till, you know, I was in my mid to late 30s. That's when I started figuring out that, like, I had to change my mindset and my belief set to break through that. So whatever that thing is that we're saying that's holding me back, that's the thing, that we have to interrupt that pattern. We have to step through that. And it's gonna feel weird. You're gonna feel it, like, right in your gut when you make that commitment, because that's your ego. That's your subconscious keeping you safe. And the thing is, what it's keeping you safe from is everything that logically that you say that you want, but it's keeping you safe because it's looking in the past at a pattern of all the other times that it would have, you know, protected you from being disappointed. So that's what it's doing. And you're pushing through that, and you're interrupting that pattern, and that's how you can start A new pattern, new belief sets. I mean, I've invested well into six figures on myself and coming from a spot where I was $32,000 in credit card debt and less than $5,000 to my name. And it's like, you never have the money, but every time you make an investment, things keep getting bigger and better. And so I'm just really excited to find those people that are ready to commit and help them break through that. And then through that weekend, through the coaching, I mean, this will be like an inflection point. This will be a big pivot point in your life when you break through that, as well as rewrite that old programming.
And just to share, too, we have some people that have sent in applications that are ready to pay, but they want it, like, done to them. They're like, basically, like, prove it. What are you going to do for me? And we want people that are committed to taking action and changing their thoughts and actions, too. So if you do fill out the application, definitely spend time going deep on those questions, because it's not only going to help you, but it helps us understand because there are people that we're not considering or not calling because we don't feel like that they're really ready to make a change.
Yeah, not everybody gets extended, you know, an invitation to come. Yeah, because it's, you know, the people that are looking like, what do you like? It's an investment in yourself like this. If you look at it at a cost, you know, that's the wrong mindset. This is an investment in yourself. And for a lot of us, it's the first time you're really coming up against. Because we still have that deeper. At least I did. I had that really deeper, not good enough, not worthiness conversation. So all of a sudden, if you're not good enough and not worthy, making an investment like this in yourself, that's going to send your ego subconscious because, no, you're not worthy. Don't do it. You can't afford it. Which keeps you safe, keeps you stuck in your comfort zone, but that's not how we break through it.
Thank you. All right, I want to take any questions at all about anything about Breakthrough Weekend, about the content we went over to, about your own stuff, nutrition, fitness. While you have us here, feel free to ask us anything. You can either physically raise your hand, you can do the press button, or you could type it in comments, and I'll take any questions that you have. Don't be that person that doesn't ask a question. And then later, sends me a message on Instagram, ask your question so I can help you. It happens all the time. We get a message through Instagram or support or whatever. But please, while you're here, ask the questions. I'm literally here to help you with anything.
I'm sure somebody has a question to that voice. Don't ask the question. You're the only one.
No questions. You guys all got this? Are you all ready to be that new person? Yeah. Okay. Did you guys find this call helpful? Awesome. Thank you, guys. All right, we put that link. If you do want to apply for breakthrough www.nataliejofitness.com apply. Do that. And we look forward to seeing you later. Bye, you guys. Bye.
