How to make your goals a reality | Natalie Jill

Natalie Jill shares five ways to reach your goals: make a vision board, write them down, tell someone, focus on key daily tasks, and create a 'to don't' list of things to stop doing.
Hi guys. Natalie, Jill here on Happy, healthy and Fit. And I'm going to share with you today 5 tips to make your goals a reality. Now stay tuned to the end of the video because if you want more of this type of thing from me to dive more into it, I'm going to share exactly how you can do that. First one, number one, create a vision board. I know, I know you might be rolling your eyes at me right now, but listen to me, vision boards work. What's a vision board? Any way you define it, you want to take either a poster board or you can do it online so it's something you can print out. But you want to cover this board or sheet with every single thing that would be your goal or your fantasy and nothing is too outrageous. When I first made a vision board for myself, I put things that at the time I thought were crazy. I put an ocean view at a house, I put lots of money, I put a happy relationship. I put all this stuff that I thought if only in my dream, I put that on the vision board. When you have a vision board, something to look at with all of those things, it makes you focus on those goals and achieving that versus being stuck in what you are living now, what you're seeing all the time. A vision board gives you something else to look at and look forward to. So the first suggestion is to create that vision board. It's huge. My second tip, write them down. I know you've been told it before, but have you done it? Something magical happens when you write down your goals. They become a reality. So write them down. I like to start with fantasy goals. Start out with you're in my wildest dream. If anything was possible, these would be my goals, these are my fantasy goals. And then take it next step to long term goals. What could you accomplish in a year if you could accomplish anything, what would you want to accomplish in a year that's a perfect long term amount. And then break it down to the short term. What are things that you need to do every single day so you have a chance at achieving those goals that you're after a year from now. When you write this stuff down, this stuff starts to happen. So you have to write them down. Number three, share and talk about them. Tell your friends, tell people with a matter of conviction. I'm going to make this happen. I plan on doing this. This is happening. This is where I'm starting. Talk about it as if it is happening. Really important. My next tip, two and three. What do I mean by that? Two and three, well, we all have these big long to do lists. I know everybody has these big giant to do lists. And what happens is we have a little time in the day and we think I can't get to all of this. So inst. Instead I want you to reverse engineer that and think of what are two things I can do every day. Just two that help me get towards my goals. And then what are three small action items from my list that I can knock off quick? So my three small action items, I mean like an email you can respond to, a phone call you can return, an article you can read. Those are small things. But then I want two big things that really help move you forward to the next level. So two big things. So if a long term goal, for instance, is I am going to be in fabulous shape. One of your big things might be your long workout that day. That might be one of your big things because it's helping you towards that goal. And one of your small things might be I'm gonna book that appointment with my trainer or I'm going to write out a grocery list of what I need today. It could be as simple as that. So two big three small every single day. And then the final one I have for you is a two don't list. What's a two don't list? So many of us make to do lists. All the guilty of it. I have to do lists everywhere. But there's a lot of things that hold us back from achieving our goals and we waste time like scrolling social media, spending a lot of time back and forth on text or talking on the phone. What do we waste our time doing watching tv? Find those things you're wasting time doing and create a to don't list and decide some things that you can free up every day and check off that to don't list every day. So there you have it. Those are my five tips on how to make your goals a reality. I hope you found them helpful. I would love to hear you. If you have one that I haven't mentioned, please share it with me in the comments.
