In this English-language content, Natalie Jill explains the drawbacks of deprivation dieting and promotes a positive approach focused on adding nutritious, unprocessed foods and healthy habits to empower and support sustainable fat loss.
So let's talk fat loss for a minute. Most people teach deprivation dieting, which does not work. And you know this. When you do deprivation dieting, meaning you look at all the things you can't have, can't eat, shouldn't have, shouldn't eat. It really sets you up not only for failure if you make a mistake, but two for focusing on those foods that you can't have. It doesn't work. It doesn't feel empowering. It doesn't light you up. What I teach, and I want to introduce this to you, is the idea of adding in more of the good, which makes less room for the not so good. What does that mean? Well, when you focus on adding in foods that help you thrive naturally, actual, real, unprocessed healing foods, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, lean proteins, you focus on adding in those. More water, more movement. You set your day up to feel empowered and to win. So you focus on adding in. How much of the good can I add in, which makes less room for the not so amazing?
