Paleo Gluten Free Veggie Lovers Pizza: In the Kitchen with My Cuz | Natalie Jill

This is a YouTube video titled "Paleo Gluten Free Veggie Lovers Pizza: In the Kitchen with My Cuz | Natalie Jill" created on April 21, 2015. It features a conversational cooking demonstration between Natalie Jill and her cousin Liana, where they prepare a paleo, gluten-free pizza recipe while discussing unprocessed foods and healthy eating.
Hi, guys. Natalie, Jill, back on Unprocess yous Diet. This time I'm in the kitchen with my cuz, my cousin Liana. And this is awesome because although I've helped her a lot with nutrition and my programs and the foods I suggest eating, she's like the master at putting it all together into these yummy recipes that you would never know are healthy for you because they're just so darn good and easy to make. Easy. So what are we making today? What are we making today, Liana?
Today we are making paleo pizza pie.
And it's gluten free.
Score. Gluten free, dairy free and easy to make.
And delicious.
And my meat and potatoes eating husband loves it.
And kids like it too.
Kids love it.
Okay, so what do we have in here? What are the ingredients that we're working with?
Okay, super easy ingredients. We have our spaghetti squash. This has been pre roasted.
And how does somebody pre roast it if they want to do that?
So basically you just take the spaghetti squash, cut it in half. A lot of grocery stores will cut it in half for you, which is good to know. A little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper, put it face down and roast it at about 400 or it depends on the size of your spaghetti squash, anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes.
Awesome. Okay, what else do we have?
We have our. This is Italian turkey sausage.
Yum.
You can use regular sausage as well.
Just depends on, and I always say nitrate free.
Nitrate free.
So the natural version and season the way that you want. Or you can buy it pre seasoned. But obviously we want natural. More natural as we can get. Yeah.
We have. These are eggs whipped together. This is zucchini. This is pepper, yellow pepper mushroom. And this is our pizza sauce. The secret ingredient.
Yum. Okay, so what do we do? Tell us what we do.
So first thing we're gonna do is cook our onion and our meat and then we'll cook our vegetables. Get them a little soft. Then what we're gonna do is line our pan, whatever pan we're gonna use with a little bit of our spaghetti squash. Then we're going to pour in our mixture with our meat and our vegetables. Then we are going to put in our special ingredient, our pizza sauce. Mix it all together really good. And then at the very end, just put your egg, just mix it in a little, throw it in the oven. 350, start at 20 minutes. It may take up to an hour depending on your oven and you're done. That's it.
That's so super easy. Now, a lot of people will always say, well, you're talking about unprocessing your diet. And is that processed food? Here's the thing with processed food versus unprocessed food. If it once grew, which everything here did, we're talking meat or vegetables. If it once grew and you could pronounce every ingredient in it, then that, to me, is an unprocessed food. So, yes, we're using pizza sauce, for instance, but the ingredients in that are tomatoes and spices. That's really it. So it's thinking about that. Same with the sausage. It's literally the meat and the spices. So as long as you can define every ingredient and you know what's going in your body, that, to me, qualifies as unprocessed food. And the fact that it's paleo and gluten free, I know that reaches a lot of you. Me as a celiac, for sure. And it's good.
So good.
So if you guys want the recipe, I've got it all down below for you. Make sure you check it out. And if you want more from my cousin Liana, let me know, because we're taking requests. She didn't know this, but now you're taking requests.
Oh, boy. Signing me up. Got it.
See you later. Bye.
