Natalie Jill explains why the scale lies. Muscle and fat take up different amounts of space in your body, so two people at the same weight can look completely different. Measuring yourself and tracking body composition matters more than what the scale says.
Five pounds of muscle and five pounds of fat both weigh five pounds. If you put them on the scale. Like literally, you put five pounds of muscle on the scale. Five pounds of fat. They both weigh five pounds, but they look very different on your body. Very different. If you look at muscle, it takes up a lot less space than fat. So when we go with just a scale number, we really don't know what that means. It doesn't really translate to results. So a better way is to go off of measurements. Definitely measurements. And how your clothes are fitting and images and pictures. Because that dang scale, it can lie. And it does lie. Because we don't know if we are weighing muscle or fat. It's very difficult to actually know that. So keep an eye on it. It's very misleading when people say muscle weighs more than fat. That is not the case. They both weigh the same pound for pound.
