Trouble falling and staying asleep in midlife

A guide to sleep problems in midlife, covering hormone shifts, blue light exposure, meal timing, and supplements like magnesium and CBD oil. The speaker draws on personal and client experiences to explain what disrupts sleep during this stage of life.
Do you have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep at night, especially in midlife? This comes up with hormone shifts. With changing bodies, all the things that starts happening. I want to share a couple tips that have truly helped me and have helped many of my clients. Number one, make sure you are blocking out blue light later in the day. Whether you're wearing blue blocker glasses or you're just limiting electronics, but make sure you stop using blue light things without the blue light protection later in the day. That's going to help tremendously. Number two, make sure you're not having a late meal right before bed. Have your meal earlier so your body's not working. Working on digestion right before bed. That creates an issue right there. Number three, consider using a few subtle supplements. Some of my favorites, magnesium. Many of us are deficient in magnesium, but magnesium and then also CBD oil really helps to shut things down, relax you and help you sleep through the night. All of those are amazing. And then the final thing is if you're still not sleeping through the night, you've done all those things. Get your hormones checked. Really important there. Really important to check your hormones and see what might be.
