You're not too old and it's NOT too late! | Natalie Jill

Natalie Jill, a sports nutritionist and fitness trainer, tells women in their 40s and 50s that age isn't a barrier to changing your body and life. She invites viewers to join a free five-day Quick Body Reset challenge starting Monday.
Hey, are you worried that you're either too old or it's too late, that you will never achieve your goals? Does that ever cross your mind? Because this is something I hear a lot, that it's too late, I'm too old and it's just not going to happen for me. I'm Natalie Jill, licensed master sports nutritionist, functional fitness trainer. And what I do is I kill fat for a living. And it's not just the fat in our bodies, but it's also the fat. It's those false assumed truths, like that belief that we're too old or it's too late. And that's what I want to talk to you about tonight. So thanks for joining me. If you're jumping on Live with me now or you're watching the replay, let me know where you're from. I'd love to know who I'm talking to, where you're from. And also I'd love to know your age. And the reason I ask your age is I'm 47 and I'd love to know if I'm reaching, especially women that are close to age than me within 10 years. So you're welcome to join if you're not close to my age. But I also love to know when I'm reaching some of you. So tonight I want to talk to you about this very topic because there's some simple things you can do to start shifting and creating everything from nothing and hitting your goals, regardless of your age, regardless of what you've tried before and regardless of these beliefs that you formed around it that it might be too late. So thanks for jumping on and joining me. You guys ready for this? And hey, Angela. Hi, Lisa. I see, oh, 5350. Awesome. I love it. I love seeing that. I love seeing 55. Yes, Anita, 55 years young. Thank you. OK, so I have a few very specific things I want to share with you tonight. And I'm going to tell you about a free challenge that I have starting this Monday. Yep, this Monday that I want you in. So I'm going to tell you about that too. So make sure you stay on so I can share that with you. So first and foremost, the one thing I actually I said one thing. But there's four things, four things I want to share with you about this. The first thing is we can be an entirely different person, an entirely different person a year from now by changing just two things about ourselves. You know what those are? And this is not something I made up. A lot of people share this But I want to explain it to you in a different context. By changing just two things, we can change our entire being. The way that we look, the way that we feel, the way that we act, our friends, our environment, everything. By changing just two things, you know what they are. Your thoughts and your actions. It's true. By changing your thoughts and your actions, you can become an entirely different person. You think different thoughts, you take different actions, you show up differently, you look differently. It happens over and over again, whether it's fat, loss, business, finances, relationships. You can change your entire life, everything about where you're living, what you look like, how you feel, all of that, by changing your thoughts and your actions. The key is, how do you do that? How do you do that? Because we have about 30,000 thoughts a day that run through our head. Those false assumed truths that I was talking about earlier that stop us and keep us stuck in those same patterns. And we stay in that same pattern, we get the same results. So what's funny? Not so funny. But what's interesting is that so many times you approach a problem expecting different results, but you keep thinking the same thoughts and taking the same action, and it makes no sense. Because if you approach a problem with the same way of thinking and the same actions, how are you going to get different results? So by changing those things, you can change your entire outcome. So that's first and foremost, and that's what I love to work with people on, is how do we change your thoughts and how do we change your actions to become a different person? If you take any example, take any person that you want to live like, like whatever you're trying to improve, you want to improve your health, your fitness, your. The way that you look, the way that you feel, or you want to improve your finances, you want to prove your relationship or your business or whatever. You take an example of somebody living the way that you want to live, and you start taking their thoughts and making those yours, and you start taking the action that they take, everything can change. I want to share a little story with you. Years ago, many of you know my story, some of you don't. But years ago, 11 to be exact, when I had my daughter, I was going through a really rough time in my life. This was back in 2007, 2008. Do you remember what was going on then? Market had crashed, the stock market had crashed. A lot of things were going wrong in my world and a lot of people's worlds. And I was a new mom and I had a lot of things going on with that, too. I had gained a lot of weight. A lot of mothers gained a lot of weight when they're pregnant, but I gained a lot of weight. I was also going through a divorce. I had a lot of stuff going on in my life. I couldn't remember what it felt like to be happy. Are any of you there? Like, I couldn't not remember what it felt like to be happy. One of the very first things I did once I realized I wanted to be out of that state of just being sad and depressed and lonely and not having great results in my life, One of the very first things that I did was make a vision board. Now, many of you have heard of vision board. Some of you might think it's hokey or weird or whatever, but that's what I did. I made a vision board. I grabbed magazines and I started pulling out things that were appealing to me, like fit girls and beach and happy couples and just anything that made me feel good, I put it on this vision board. And I remember I would stare at that vision board. I would stare at it and I would think, okay, I don't feel good about myself right now. I don't feel good in my own skin. I don't feel good with the way that my life is. But if I stare at that vision board and I take action like the person in that vision board would do, then I have to start looking and feeling like that person. Right? It makes sense. So I would put a fit girl in there, and I would look at her, and I think, okay, if I was her, if I was that girl on that board, what would I be doing? What actions would I be taking? What would I be eating? Who would I be hanging around? What would I be listening to? And just that very act of looking at that vision board and being able to visualize what it would be like to be her helped me take different actions and have different thoughts. Same thing. I had a picture of an ocean on my vision board at the time. Now I'm fortunate enough to live not far from the ocean. I had pictures of these houses with an ocean view. And I remember thinking, okay, I don't live in a house with an ocean view. However, if I did, what would I be doing each day? And I thought that through. I'm like, well, I'd be going for a walk on the beach, or I'd be sitting down looking at the water. I'd be daydreaming over there. So I would drive to the beach, and I thought, I'm just going to plant myself in that situation, just like the person in the vision board would be doing. And when you do that, when I did that, I started changing my thoughts and my actions, started rewiring things, the way that I was thinking, the way that I was acting. And when you do that, you start getting different results. That was the very start of my journey. Which brings me to number two. I said there were a few things I wanted to share with you on how you can overcome we're too old or it's too late to achieve our goals. First thing I said was, you change directions. The second thing is, many of us, we know that we're not happy. Can you relate to this? You know that you're not happy, but you want to be happy, but you don't know what it is that you want. So when I say to you, what's your goal? Or I say to somebody, what's your goal? A lot of times I hear, I just want to be happy. That is not something to strive towards. That's a way of being, you can be happy right now. You can choose to be happy right now. So if you're not clear on what it is that you want, how are you going to get there? Really important to realize that if you get clear on what it is that you want, it's a lot easier to figure out a plan to get there. But a lot of times we're so stuck on, I just don't want to feel this and I just want to feel happier, I want to feel better. But we don't actually know what that is. So get clear or get help getting clear on what it is that you actually want. Like, what is it? What is it that you want? You want to be fitter, you want to be healthier, you want to be happy. It's not just, I want to be happier, I want to have X amount of income, I want to be out of debt, I want to be in a relationship, I want to start my own business. What is it that you want? Really thinking through, what is it that you actually want? And that makes it a lot easier to work towards. So a lot of people come to me especially for fat loss, they want to lose the weight. But I am going to ask, what is it that you want? Like, get specific. Like, what do you want to feel like, what do you want to look like? And then most importantly is, number three is why do you want it? Going deep on why is it that I actually want that? And that's a missing link for people. This happens a lot of times. I'LL have somebody say, I want to be thin. That's the word. I want to be thin. I want to be skinny. I want to lose weight. And I'll say, well, why? And the next answer to that is, well, I don't know. Because I want to be skinnier. Okay, that's not enough to keep us going on a goal. That's not enough to keep us away from power or cravings or friends or distractions. So why do you want that? To give you an example. You say to somebody, if you're listening and you're thinking, I want to be skinnier, I want to be toner, I want to be thinner. And I say, why do you want that? Well, I want it because I'm tired of not feeling good about myself. Okay, what is it about not feeling good of yourself that's not working for you? Well, when I don't feel good about myself, I don't feel like getting dressed in the morning. I don't feel like looking stylish or cute or whatever it is. Okay, and what does that do to you? Well, it makes me dress frumpy and I stay in hiding. Okay, and then what does that do to you? Well, it makes me not feel confident. And then I go to work or I go about my day, and I'm not present. I'm not present. I'm focused on other things. I'm comparing to other people, and I'm not being my best self. I'm not being the best employee, I'm not being the best boss, I'm not being the best mom, I'm not being the best wife, I'm not being the best whatever, because I'm not feeling confident. Got it. What happens when you feel like that? Well, then I just want to be in hiding and I want to eat more. And then I definitely don't want to go to the gym, because if I go to the gym, I start comparing to other people and not being present. Got it. So what does that do to your life? Well, it keeps me isolated, and now I'm lonely. Okay, see, now we're getting somewhere. When you go down that path, we get clear on your why. Your why is you want to be connected. You don't want to be lonely. You want to be your best self. That's a much bigger reason than I just want to get skinny. Do you see that? So when we get connected to our why, the real reason that we want something, I call it a driving core motivator. When you get connected to that, that's when willpower Goes away. It doesn't matter about willpower because you're clear on what it is that you want. And when you know what you want, you're going to go after it and get it and nothing will distract you. So one of those things that we do wrong is we get so stuck on this first level of what we think that we want, which is just to be happy. We've never really gotten to the root of why, but when you go to the root of the why, then everything can shift. Ok? The next thing, the next big thing that holds us back, that keeps us up at night, that makes it so we stay stuck in this belief that we can't get to our goals, that we can't have massive results, is that we don't take any action. And this is, let me explain what I mean by that. You might take action Googling like you might Google like what's going on here. But what are we Googling? Like, are we googling what's wrong with people our age? Like if you're putting in Google 50 year olds struggling to lose weight, okay, yes, you're going to get a lot of supporting evidence. Or my thyroid or my metabolism or my injury or whatever it is if you look for evidence, if you look for evidence of why you have the problem that you have, you're going to find evidence telling you why your problem is normal and what happens when you do that. The second you do that, you validate, you validate settling and there's absolutely no opportunity to improve when you do that. As soon as you go on Dr. Google and validate why it is you're struggling, nothing's gonna change. Do you guys see that? So the second you're typing and saying I'm over 50 or I'm over 40 or whatever it is and I can't lose weight, you're gonna find a ton of evidence supporting why that's also a problem. The issue with that is you've now created a complete self imposed stop. There is no possibility because you told yourself, oh, that's normal. No one else can do it, so this is normal. So now you start really believing you're too old, it's too late, it's not possible. So that's the wrong action. That's the wrong action. The right action is not to get into that. The right action would be to find supporting evidence that it can be done. Find evidence of the opposite, Find that situation where they did overcome it sounds terrible and awful and like it's not possible until you find somebody to get it Always how it works. There's a girl I interviewed. I talked about her before on my podcast. I have a podcast called Leveling Up, Creating Everything for Nothing. I remember my guest very well, but this one specifically, I interviewed shepherd, and I just love her. I met her when I was in Australia. You can Google her. They made a movie about her. She was an Olympic athlete. Imagine this. She's an Olympic athlete. Called her Janine the Machine. She was training. She was riding bike training with her colleagues, with her friends. She was hit by a Mack truck. Imagine this, hit by a Max truck. She's paralyzed. Tragic, right? Airlifted to a hospital, told she'd never walk again. Said her life would never be the same. Doctor after doctor, you will never walk again. This is the way it has to be. She refused to believe it. She didn't want to hear it. All the evidence supported that she was never going to walk again. She refused to believe it. In fact, she looked up at the sky, she says on my podcast interview, and she saw an airplane. And she said, okay, if I can't walk, I'm going to be an aerobatic pilot. Not only did she teach herself to be an aerobatic pilot, she found research about the few people that became a walking paraplegic. And she consumed herself with information on how to make that work for her. She retrained her brain and taught herself to walk a walking paraplegic. This is documented. They made a movie about her. Wow. Talk about incredible. I don't know that I could have done that. Talk about the incredible mindset that it took to do that. But she could have easily validated and enrolled people in. Why she would never. That's not possible. And everyone would have understood. Everyone would have felt sorry for her. Everyone would have just accepted that. But she refused to believe that. She changed her mindset around it. She retrained her brain that she's walking. It's unbelievable. So what I want to share with you is what action are you taking? Are you taking actions to validate your excuses, or are you taking action to find those examples of someone doing it? Now, you may not like what I'm saying, but I know deep down, on some level, you know that I'm right about this. And you can own this. Because the second we validate that it's not going to work for you, that you are too old and it is too late, the second I validate that for you, what hope do you have for improvement? What hope do you have for improvement when I do that? So I am going to challenge you to take different actions, find supporting evidence and give yourself hope and work towards that versus the I'm just going to settle and I'm just going to accept and I'm going to settle because what kind of life is that? So that's what I wanted to speak into. So when you're taking those actions, what actions are you taking? Are you finding, are you finding friends? Are you finding people that are that example that you want to step into, or are you finding others to keep you stuck in that way that you've always thought and believed? Okay, that's what I wanted to share with you guys tonight. I also want to share if you like this topic, maybe you don't, but if you like this topic and you want to do a different type of challenge with me, we're starting the Quick body reset on Monday and I want to explain what that is and what that has to do with this topic tonight. So, as I said at the beginning of the video, if you're jumping on late, you might not have heard this, but I'm 47 years old and although I work with people of all ages, I tend to really attract women in their 40s and 50s that want to level up their life and really start aging in reverse. And when I say aging reverse, I don't mean necessarily physically. Like, I got that we get older and wrinkles appear and all that. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about we don't have to take these beliefs that because you're a certain age, you have to be a certain way. Right? We can literally age in reverse. And the same things that a 20 year old can accomplish, you can accomplish. You can start a business, you can change your life, you can get in the best shape of your life. You, you can start a lot of things. Age does not have to define that. So I have this program. I have a program, it's my most complete program called the Full Body Reset. It's my favorite program. It's a six week program that helps you change your state, plan your plate, and love your weights. It's an awesome program. Not everybody is always a candidate for that program. And the reason they're not always a candidate for that program is a number of reasons. But just to give you a few, maybe somebody's not really ready to commit to making a change. Maybe they like the comfort of being sad, overweight, whatever it is, I'm not judging, I'm just sharing that some people just really like that comfort. And it's scary to Change and have to take different actions and thoughts. So that would make you not a candidate for full Body reset. Another reason full body reset you might not be a candidate is maybe you're not at a point or you haven't decided it's worth investing in yourself. And I say investing in yourself because when you hire a coach or buy a program, you're not necessarily paying the person for the program. Yes, that's a component of it. But by making a decision to invest in a program or coach to better yourself, you're making an investment in yourself. If you think back to any time you've done that, you're much more likely to take something seriously. When you've got skin in the game, when you make an investment, you're not going to miss things. You're going to do it. You're going to really take advantage of it. Think of when you went to school or whatever it is that you paid for and invested in. You take it a lot more seriously. So some people are not in a place where they can do that. And then also some people aren't at a place where they want to focus six weeks on getting better. And I get that. What I decided to do this time around, because I am opening enrollment for Full body reset next month, what I decided to do is I decided if I have five days with somebody totally free, by the way, five days where you could get sort of the best concepts I have from Full Body Reset in a five day format, you would get a test drive of what that's like. So I have so much free stuff online, but I wanted to do this more where it's organized for you, where I'm working directly with you, where I'm teaching you and coaching you in a controlled environment for five days so that you can start to apply some of these things and fully change your state, learn more about nutrition, learn how to change your workouts, just everything that you could do in a short amount of time in five days. So that's what I'm doing. I'm doing that. It starts on Monday. It is totally free. You guys, I'm going to put the link right here. I'm on Instagram and Facebook right now, so I'm going to put it first here on see on Instagram. It's the quickbodyreset.com, by the way. And let's see if I can pin it. Whoops. Where'd you go? Pin comment. There we go. And that's where I'd love to have you join us. So I'm gonna Put that there for you guys. And on Facebook, I'll type it right here. When you go to that group, I have a PDF for you. I've got some videos to get you started. And then we start live Monday morning there. And I'm so excited to work with you guys. So thanks for joining me. If there are any questions, I'll take a few right now. Otherwise, I'm going to see you there. Thank you. Ginger said it makes sense. I want to look good in the fitting room. Alyssa. I totally get that. I totally get that. Let's see a few more questions. I started going to the gym and did it for about six months. Yes, I totally get that. Viola, I hope you'll join the challenge. The challenge, by the way, you guys, it's not going to take a lot of time. The way that it's going to work is there's going to be a video for me every morning, short video that I'm going to do live. It's going to give you a few things you can add into your day. They're not going to take a lot of time on how to change your state plan, your plate, love your weight. It's going to be easy to follow. It's going to be simple, it's going to be fun. Then I'm going to do a live master class each night. It's all going to be recorded for you. So as long as you're in the challenge, if you can't be on live, I'm still going to be sending it to you so you'll have access to all that material. So you have nothing to lose except for the mindset that's not serving you and the weight that you want to get rid of. So join the challenge. Next question. Do you know you do not have to be 40s or 50s? That is, who seems to relate best to me, but any age can join the challenge no problem at all. And yes, it's primarily women in there, but men, you are more than welcome to join and I would love to have you. Anyone can join this challenge. I would love to have you in it. All right. Thanks, you guys. Thanks for joining me tonight and I hope to see you in the challenge on Monday. Thank you. It.
